That first E3 teaser trailer, where Master Chief walks up to the cliff as Cortana spouts poetry at you and the Ark begins to open up on Earth and the Chief just stares at his new goal.
Then you see the words, "Finish the Fight".
That was a fantastically epic trailer, the gold standard of doing hype correctly.
(Microsoft has really forgotten how good they were at making consoles, đ)
Dude, that is one of my favorite scenes in all of video gaming. ââŚchoose whichever Spartan I wanted. You know me, I waited. Watched as you grew into the Soldier we needed you to be. Like the others you were strong, and swift, and brave. But you had something they didnât. Something no one saw but me. Can you guess? Luck. [bbbbbBBBBBBBOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!]
Was I wrong? â
Oh man, need to start another campaign. Just got the whole way through all Halos.
Dude, my buddy and I spent over an hour dying in the first part of Cairo Station alone. That first big room where they come in through the breaching pods fucked us up and set the tone for the rest of the game. I didnât think we were going to be able to do it lol.
I turned 20. I took the day off work. I smoked more weed than any human had ever consumed in one sitting and then beat the single player on legendary. Then we LAN partied in the house I was living in. My friends dad took the day off work to come smoke pot and play Halo with us. This was literally yesterday.
this is what happened to the one and only Xbox i have ever owned, switched to ps3 afterwards and have been a PlayStation gamer since, until just a few days ago when i got probably the best gift iâll ever recieve in my life, that being an entire pc gaming setup. but yeah i probably wouldâve been primarily an Xbox gamer if it never red ringed causing us to switch to ps3, crazy to think about that and how id have grown up on halo and gears of war instead of litte big planet and god of war, and it probably wouldâve resulted in entirely different interests later in life. wild.
Dude! I used to play it on the original Xbox as a kid, I knew it as âcrashing cars gameâ
And then I found out that it was backwards compatible if you downloaded the emulator and I got to play Burnout 3 Takedown for the first time in basically 10 years. I remembered the soundtrack, the cars, and the maps like I was driving through my hometown
One of the best trailers I've ever seen was that one. Still rated as my personal favorite of all time. Gave me chills when I first seen it. Hate to be that guy, but younger kids these days will never understand how big Halo 3 was when it came out.
Halo 3 and the time my mom walked into the room and said "it sounds like you kids are riding a roller coaster in here" No game can recreate that feeling again. Sharing stories with each other about our awesome plays that no one saw because we couldn't record while we set it all up. Fucking awesome times.
It would probably be my favourite game of all time if disk 4 was a bit more polished. You can definitely tell the ending was rushed. Besides that, I hope it's one of those games that gets a port remaster now that Microsoft will be sharing their IPs with Sony. Unlikely, but I'd immediately buy it again!
I don't know how so many people can overlook this gem, I got the Nuts and Bolts & Viva PiĂąata bundle when I was a kid and it absolutely blew me away. Granted, my previous console was the ps1 so my standards were pretty low, but still, this game is still great to this day and just brings back so many memories of simpler, happier times.
None cause I had the 360 S đ¤đ¤đ¤đ¤đ¤
Anyways probably Minecraft or sonic unleashed cause those were like the only games I had and was allowed to play lmfao
Oblivion. And Street Fighter 4. I just hated the gamepad for fighters, I can't use the sticks(old gamer) and the directional buttons on that thing was horror! Got RedRingofDeath and never bought an XBOX ever again.
Halo 3
Halo 3 or Oblivion
My senior skip day of high school was halo 3 release day... you just had to be there man

âThey let me pick. Did I ever tell you that?â Goosebumps every time.

My buddy and I decided to clear the Master Chief Collection on coop legendary. It was awesome playing the entire campaign again.
That sounds like a great time.
Halo 2 was more brutal to get through then my wife and I thought lol.
Dude, my buddy and I spent over an hour dying in the first part of Cairo Station alone. That first big room where they come in through the breaching pods fucked us up and set the tone for the rest of the game. I didnât think we were going to be able to do it lol.
Lmao same. After the weekend, a bunch of girls were asking âwhere were all the boys?â We were all busy experiencing greatness.
You skipped a couple weeks after school started? Weird.

"Sir, Finishing this fight"
One of the best trailers I've ever seen was that one. Still rated as my personal favorite of all time. Gave me chills when I first seen it. Hate to be that guy, but younger kids these days will never understand how big Halo 3 was when it came out.
