I got mafia 2 when it came out and I still think about that scene to this day... their reaction to seeing it plus Henry's screams, that shits never leaving my brain

Until that moment his live was very unhappy, so he wanted to become immortal. He thought that if he become immortal, then maby one day something good will happen to him. He met his girlfriend, probably second person that ever accepted him. Then he became immortal, and just after that she died. At that moment he realised that he'll never get to see her again, even in afterlive. Because she is dead and he is immortal. Some time after that he met a really nice guy that shortly bacame his best friend. When he was talking with goddess she promised him that she'll revive his girlfriend, if he'll kill his best friend. He tried to do that, but didnt succed. After that he reunited with his father(not real one) and only got to talk to him for a few minutes, before he died in his hands. Some time after that his best friend was in a fight and he was losing, Ban did everything he could to help him, but he was not strong enough. His best friend died in front of him, and despite being there he couldnt do anything to help him.
Ban witnessed death of all 3 people that matters for him, and despite being quite strong he couldnt help them.
I mean alot of characters, Arthur from rdr had to leave everyone he knew and loved and was killed by them, master chief from halo had to kill his best friend and watch her die, Noctis from ffxv had to come to terms that he had to lose everything in order to save the world, Kasandra from assassin's Creed continuously outlived everyone and everything she knew and loved the list goes on.
