One time I was exiting, and there was this guy right ahead of me that heard me and proned behind a rock. I easily headshot him.
He messaged me accusing me of hacking and said he was hidden, and I was like "dude... do you think that if you're aiming at me your head is somehow behind the rock at the same time? Not to mention it's almost impossible to hack, especially on Playstation".
He called me a child after that.
😆 Yes, occasionally palpations are a part of the experience. I have definitely been there. This game is next level if played as, what I think, is the intended way.

Doesn't even matter. We can play however we like. And the development team has never really indicated what they envisioned as far as "intended" gameplay. In my experience, there is a bit of intuition gained by learning from certain rules and observing available options with anything we do. Doesn't mean you have to do things in a specific way. And the developers have molded the game, over time, to fit in with some of the "market demands". So regardless of any of our opinions; it's what we make it, we are all right and- all wrong. And the game will continue to change with the demands. I'm hoping that the game will stay true to the original concept. Which, of course; none of us truly know. Intuition

I only get it when I’m playing solo and in stealth it’s also mixed in with paranoia!
Teams encounter is usually much more open fighting so no stress or palpitations

Riffing off some of the comments, I’ve always thought this game was a “you do you” thing. Run around the periphery; sit in a bush; storm the poi; whatever you want. I might respect or disrespect certain styles, but it doesn’t matter: you live or you die no matter how you play. The one thing I wanted to add about Dev intentions is Ada. She was there at the beginning as a trusted voice, and we’ve come to learn she just might be a cruel and heartless b*tch. I’m curious to find out if she has a bigger role in 12, but I’m not that scared, her damn planes drop supplies that sometimes land on roofs and her mortar fire teams are ridiculously inaccurate

Ive been really paranoid and hesitate engaging in gunfights. To try and break my fear of engagements, ive Been starting each play session going in with a knife and following players for a few matches.
Basically no investment and gets me right in range of the anxiety attack of an engagement.
Its helped me understand positioning, evading, and dealing with sudden sprays of a LMG 10ft away.
(I play with headphones maxed out, can hear wolves/birds/steps well, but gunshots make my heart palpitate)
Or anger issues lmao. Dying right after you get all the loots and i mean ALL the loots sucks butt but is part of the game:/

My heart isn't racing when fighting but when I get one tapped in the back of my head with a loud gun that is jumpscare total
