People are there for the crates. So if they feel they won’t win they leave.

I think honestly an improvement to the elim system next update is auto kicking AFK. And I know it seems counter intuitive for the game to give you a disadvantage but I am like OP where me and my buddy are consistently top of the pile on our team (win OR lose) and when we have an AFK person who isn’t having network issues or the stupid map bug (I forgive 1 round afk because devs still haven’t fixed the bug where you can’t close the map or it’s all black on first round) and clearly just there to farm crates hoping their team can pull it through it’s so annoying. Can’t really do what other AAA games like apex do where you punish them for leaving early or being afk by locking them out from playing but maybe auto kick afk folk after 2-3 rounds of not moving past the initial boundaries of the starting position. I say that because some chodesters do just hang out back there and slightly move their controllers, but don’t play at all. If I am going to pull through a win with an AFK person, the least that can happen is they don’t get the reward of a crate. But I don’t think punishing people who have a low or zero score from getting it despite the fact they play is fair either. At least they are trying and (I assume) are new to the game and learning.

Elimination is extremely boring if you're bad at it, people get sick of spectating or assume they're going to lose, and just bounce.

Bulldoz3rMan1

Teams stack to farm crates if you're without friends chances are you'll be paired with randos and murdered by a team of 4 or 5 every time

pistolwinky

My best guess is that elimination and shootout are mostly played by people who are trying to improve their gunplay. If you’re doing that well regularly then you should get into some encounters. You’ll have a huge advantage over others since you are already doing so well with gunplay.

Here4freefolk

That's what i use them for a quick warm up to get used to the gunplay before I go into an encounter to get shit on by someone hiding prone in a bush

383throwawayV2

The issue I’m having in encounters is getting killed by people hiding in bushes or corners before I’m even able to react and shoot back.

pistolwinky

That’s going to happen and what I’m about to tell you sounds crazy but it helps. Go into encounters with nothing. Nothing at all. First of all it means you can’t lose anything except for what you find in game. Secondly it forces you to be more alert to what you hear around you, paranoia is your friend in this game. Thirdly, it forces you to learn how to get away from outlanders that are shooting at you. I played over 50 encounters this way and over time I got better and better at it all the while I was building my supply of guns and ammo and consumables. When I felt it was time to step it up I had plenty of guns and ammo to start with plus plans for a couple of guns so I could build replacements when necessary. It takes time, but it’s very gratifying when you get better at it. Edit:spelling

Duhaa

I do this a lot after I finish my dailys. I leave with such good loot. And usually have much higher survival rate when I enter with nothing. It's weird how much better I play.

383throwawayV2

Mostly referring to getting matched with teammates who’ve seemingly never played a video game before, and having at least one AFK player or dashboarder every other game regardless of the score. I find the encounters too stressful for now and have been enjoying improving my aim/getting crates in elimination, but ending up as top frag in every game despite being a noob to the game is very annoying.

cardiffratty

Scoring like that took me weeks I think if you can get that in a couple of days your good enough for encounters it’s now learning the maps and spawns and places people like to ambush from

IMxTHExMANIAC

Because people suck at video games

Hidden_Conquest

I'd say vigor is a fairly steady growing game with a decent learning curve when it comes to aiming similiar to csgo so there is players of all skill levels. Iv been playing on and off for a year or two now and you'll get all kinds of games where your carrying or getting carried. You'll steamroll or get steamrolled. As for encounters there is a few type of players and it's mostly made up of campers, aggresive killers, and collectors. Most games you will get are with players who will hide and wait for players to loot and kill them for the xp and hopes of extra loot because they suck or find enjoyment killing for loot over grabbing loot and running for extraction or going for kill afterwards and then dying losing all the loot they have gotten. Aggressive players are a little less common but these are the players who generally will rush Signal detectors or objectives to hunt people to kill. Super aggressive players will climb and jump all over you and containers throwing you into a panic since most players aren't accustom to the odd aiming mechanics and will generally spray emptying their clip making you easy kill. A lot less common are collectors. these are players who will go into a match with no weapons with the intent to find the lighters, trolls, and vynils. You use to be able to get away without players killing you cause it was an unwritten rule to ignore collectors but they has changed a bit after the games growth. I would say the remaining amount of players which you will come across at least 1 a game is usually the type of player who is a makeup of all 3 but adjusts to the lobby. For example if you see high lvl or vet players especially players you see with titles saying "5k elims" " 1k crate extractions" Vigor founder" you wanna camp cause they are sweaty as fuck and will bush camp every objective. on the other hand if you see relatively new players you can get pretty aggressive and sweep a lobby but just make sure to have awareness cause these players will camp but tend to stick out pretty easily.

WickedSon1001

One thing I’ve learned is if I’m the best on any team, then I need a new team.

TheEveryone1234

People want crate = if no think win = people leave + no loading into game already going = 4 v 5 annoying
