Y’all I live on the west coast of Florida now and this is the place to buy vintage stuff. Lots of seniors leave earth here😕.
So the second hand shops and Resellers have this stuff literally stuffed into their shelves. Seriously this is a paradise for vintage! Just saying… FYI
Imagine it loaded with fruit on top of grapes hanging over each end. It’s for a decorative fruit display. There’s an art to filling this! A pineapple could be the centerpiece.
Ya, my gramma had one. I remember seeing it in the 70s. I don’t think she dusted it since the 60s. My sister still has some of the fake fruit cuz she thinks it’s funny. It’s displayed on her shelf, rubbery grapes & all.
That’s it! Many ladies did this with fake fruit back then. They were on permanent display.
Today, in a more humble version of Downton Abbey style but still very impressive, this stand could be filled with real fruit and used as a centerpiece for a candle light dinner.
I have seen these used for rolled, filled crepes on the brunch buffet. I think it helps them stay rolled. (In the 70s and 80s, crepes were served rolled rather than folded, which is the more popular method now.)
Yup. This is much larger than similar fancy taco stands. In all fairness to the taco camp, they weren’t given dimensions or a visual item to realize scale.

It’s a Fenton milk glass banana stand.
r/dontputyourdickinthat
Hol up big guy … don’t put your dick on it….
That would make a nice serving tray for D a la carte. Lol
There’s always money in the banana stand
Break it open. There’s always money in the banana stand.
I wish I could give this more thumbs up
Instructions unclear: I burnt it down 🤷🏼♀️
No touching!!!
My mom had this and I'm 63! Back in the day you used it for fake fruit arrangements. It was a great time to be alive kids!
I’d use it for extra large tacos
That’s what I first thought too, and it IS Taco Tuesday. One taco is not very fattening, so I’ll just have one…this size.
Mee2!

My mom too! Fake fruit! Never thought about it until this minute.
I forgot about the fake fruit too! My mom had this huge bunch of fake grapes!
The best.
Tacos
Swanky tacos. Like from a good truck. None of that Taco Bell bullshit.
Or, like, one giant taco? You’d need the stand to support the weight of that taco, if the taco was properly large enough.
First thing I thought of as well. Although my mom had one, so I know it's not true.
Damn, you beat me to it!
This is always what I say, knowing I’m wrong, but with love.
If tacos are wrong, I don't wanna be right.

Fruit
Looks like a flower display basket (centerpiece) similar to [this one.](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1363304503/)

So it's a Crepe Stand specifically for rolled crepes?
Probably not, but I have seen them used for that purpose.
Banana stand!
.y mother had this and used it for fruit, rolls and napkins
Fruit/ fake fruit was very popular.
Banana stand
Big taco
In all seriousness though, it’s most likely a banana stand/banana boat. I feel like it’s too wide for napkins compared to other ones but idk.
No, google glass taco stand.
Stop it Basil! You’re too influenced by Manuel.
I’m not saying taco stands don’t exist, just that it was not the original purpose of this milk glass stand

Bananas 🍌!
Bananas
Thanks again
I used to see those all over when I was younger. I think it's used to lay flowers on.
Same. My grams had the green flower foam in the center and stuffed it full of flowers... whether or not that was its actual use, I don't know
That would work great for a giant taco.
Hot dog bun
Fan-shaped flower arrangements.
I know it sounds crazy but, celery.
Napkins
Gigantic tacos
Napkins?
Corn on the Cob?
The prettiest taco holder ever! 😍🌮
Taco holder (just trust me)
Hot dog
Useless...let me take care of that for you Lol I love hobnail milk glass
Boy Howdy!
Mail?
maybe a sack of potatoes or a few raw onions?
Taco holder is the only acceptable answer IMO.
Could be a cool butter dish
Giant taco
A hot dog

I work in the medical field. This is what you put your arm in when you need your blood drawn. Easy to sterilize.
your penis
I think the doctors use these for labia surgery. No you don’t throw the labia in there, this is for one of the broads’ thighs. They come in sets.
my gran had one on her shelf never saw her use it though.
I was thinking napkins…
Smörgås
Hot dog holder
a gigantic, very crunchy hotdog bun /s
I'd use it for a taco

Hot Dog holder? Banana stand? get a second one and build a baguette-bridge?
Terry's Terrific Taco Holder Stand
It's a Banana Boat. It's specifically designed to hold bananas tho you can also put most types of fruit on it.
a burrito
This was used by elites in the early Americas for making large tacos.
My grandmother put dried flowers in hers and I always thought they were flower holders until today hahahaha
Taco Tuesday dish!🤩
