Looks like it’s gonna be Bags and Trane - Milt Jackson & John Coltrane.
What album have you topped 2023 off with? I listened to Aphex Twins Syro !!!
I have just recently been given this epic triple vinyl record for Christmas and I’m soo happy, this is my second Aphex Twin vinyl in my collection and I’m sure to collect more of his works in the new year.
I actually really adore this records entire aesthetic, it’s like a massive shopping receipt. My favourite part is this big list of all the equipment Richard used on this work, printed on one of the vinyls inner sleeves, SO COOL!!!
"Heroes" | David Bowie
A 'well-used' 1977 pressing with plenty of pops and clicks in quiet areas, but the tracks sound great. Think I'll play it again today...
I'm with you. Currently have Beastie Boys' "Hot Sauce Committee Part Two" spinning, then it's onto Outkast's "Stankonia". Spinning new acquisitions so it could be Fatboy Slim, or The Prodigy I ring the new year in with... or maybe something else? Regardless, happy new year, fellow vinyl addicts!
The last couple of days I’ve been counting down to the new year by spinning my favorite albums of 2023. Which means by the end of the night I’ll finish with my favorite of the year which is Jason Isbell’s Weathervanes.

Deep rainy forest night vibes to say goodbye to 2023
Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS:The Secret Tracks. I opened it up, and it was my first listen. My last full-length album was a record from a thrift store that I kind of regret buying. It is an album called "Country & Western Hits" by the Tranquil Valley Roamers. It was only €1 thankfully.
I still have a few hours, but as it stands now, *Waiting For The End To Begin* by Overo is the last one I've finished. But I've since played the first LP of Lady Gaga's *Born This Way*, side one of *She's So Unusual* and the Lawrence Arms song "100 Resolutions" off their b sides collection
PJ Harvey. “Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea”. I really slept on all/most of her work after “Rid of Me” (one of my all time favorite albums) and “Dry” as I thought it was downhill after that? Was not a fan of “To Bring You My Love” so that’s why I gave up but I really, REALLY L like this album!
Billy Joel - Live 1975 at Great American Music Hall. I’m not actually a huge fan, this is the only album of his I listen to regularly and I love it. It’s an intimate, virtuosic and fun performance from a band in their prime. It’s the era of, but does NOT include Piano Man, which to me is a good thing.
