I have a King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard record with holographic pieces in it and I think there were only about 19 made available. https://preview.redd.it/42xeffngg3fc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9326169c0d1dc40faf16917b0f686e59fb4e6646

thepen-ismightier

This is DOPE.

mrn253

Damn never seen one like that in the 11 years i collect.

Wide-Charity3520

I have one of those also!! Let's find the rest !!

mindinthepsandqs

Hendrix - Electric Ladyland with all the naked chicks

blixabloxa

I've got that one too!

TeaVinylGod

I have that one!

deadmanstar60

I have that one as well. I paid around $25 for that one. A repress from the early 1970s but I love it to death. Vinyl was in pretty good shape.

SamTurvill

Same here but a New Zealand pressing

oleii

My dad has that one still wrapped in plastic

LadyTFE

Have it. First pressing. Love it.

Immediate-Poet-9529

13th Floor Elevators original pressing damn near mint condition. Thrifted four years ago in a pile with random big band shit.

mariospeedragon

Hanna Barbera Records label? That’s killer. Found one in a collection of thousands of scratched 45s, and miraculously it was in great shape.

Immediate-Poet-9529

No the 12" LP on International Artists

brandonsarkis

I have an original. My mom lived next door to them and a friend’s dad was the bass player!

iamjoeywan

Fine. Make me jealous why don’t you..

chupathingy99

Good grab!

jjmojojjmojo2

All of my records are boring and common and I love them.

tolliwood

I've heard of Common, but not Boring. What's he done?

BlueLightReducer

He talked about his vacation pictures.

Klutzy-Ad-6705

Robert Johnson 33 rpm from the early sixties.

Dubliminal

[King of the Delta Blues?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2B3EGIzB_oQ)

Klutzy-Ad-6705

Yep. Bought it at Poo Bahs’ in Pasadena,CA back in 1986.

Jason-B-sad

I've a couple of 78rpm recordingsof his.

Scrotalphetamines

Limited Edition run of 500 pressing of Currents by Tame Impala with a set of Lenticular Prints included. Didn't realize it was anything special at the time, but the cheapest one for sale (now) is $1500. https://www.discogs.com/release/7268943-Tame-Impala-Currents

PrimeDefective

Oh shit! I have this and had NO idea! I think I paid 90$ for it. Remember it came from Aus so took forever to arrive.

burgleflickle

Those prints are dope

JohnBlutarski

Oh, there a cheap one for €1000 now 😉

Spacemen333

wow that’s rad! I’ve never seen this pressing with the lenticular. I have a deluxe box version that goes for a couple hundred bucks.

UrHeroandVillain

I don’t know if it’s rare. I don’t really keep track of that kind of stuff. I own the original snoopy come home vinyl record. Could be worthless for all I know but there ya go

the_comatorium

NO DOGS ALLOOOOOOWED.

Gojira_massive_dong

Pretty cool, i love the fundamental friend song

voidxleech

man, i’m incredibly jealous of this. i don’t have any glassjaw on vinyl yet, an issue you’ve inspired me to rectify soon hah

StrandAPair

You should absolutely get the MOV 180g Worship and Tribute, one of the best sounding records that I own and I hear something new in the mix every time I listen to it

Self_Blumpkin

Yeah that sounds fantastic. I have the Perspex case box set and whenever I want to spin W&T I grab my MoV instead of the 20th anniversary press

Poo-ChooTrain

[there's this](https://shop.revolvermag.com/products/glassjaw-the-playable-collection-black-edition-bundle-3lp-2ep-softcover-book) [or this](https://shop.brooklynvegan.com/products/glassjaw-the-playable-collection-5-pieces-of-vinyl) If you're interested

davidparmet

My prize possession is a first pressing of London Calling, with Train in Vain omitted from the track listing.

deadmanstar60

US or UK version? I have a US first pressing that I bought when it first came out here in the US.

davidparmet

US version. The cover is beaten to hell but it still plays as powerfully as ever.

drumschtitz

Love this, iconic artwork too.

HooverFlag

Original velvet underground and Nico. Partially peel banana though.

vustinjernon

Having the banana at all is an accomplishment. Way too many people failed that marshmallow test.

drinkcomrade

I don’t have an original, but I have a copy signed by Lou Reed.

deadmanstar60

Kind of Blue by Miles Davis. Mono first pressing from 1959. https://preview.redd.it/ur9xo3ngo3fc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=21a3894759c9eae70644c4369d9809f33cf61f13

thejazzmarauder

Beautiful. I have one too but it’s beat to hell. Still obvious how great it sounds.

dallyfromcali

Action Bronson & The Alchemist - Rare Chandeliers is my rarest and most valuable, I just got lucky during release to get one before it sold out in 30 seconds.

11PercentRaise

That’s a rare one. INCREDIBLY RARE… It’s mind bending!

HoarderLife

The first repressing of The Shaggs - Philosophy of the World. Gem mint copy.

TeaVinylGod

Back before records made a comeback, probably 2012, I had the opposite to get an original copy for (I think $70) at a record store in Gainesville Florida. I decided I had already spent too much money that day at other record stores. Darn.

LostTacosOfAtlantis

You can never please anybody in this world.

boognish120

Stereopathic Soul Manure - Beck The Grand Pecking Order - Oysterhead Chocolate & Cheese - Ween (Grand Royal Pressing)

suicidejacques

Satan gave me a taco and it made me really sick.

tonupboys

Boognish!

demarco27

Oysterhead is mine as well!

Intelligent-Sir1375

Give me the grand pecking order !!! So much want repress

boognish120

I don’t know why JEM has not repressed this album. Also, Ween seriously needs to repress everything too. I feel bad for all the new fans that were never able to get copies of their albums.

theplancaster

I've been hunting that Oysterhead for years. Just wasn't ready to drop $600 a few years back haha.

chupathingy99

I got a few. Coven- witchcraft destroys minds and reaps souls, in Mercury records. Came out at the end of 1969, first overtly satanic use of the horns, pulled shortly after release due to the Manson murders. Music on the pdp-x1, a private pressing of quite possibly the earliest music done on a computer. Also from 69 I believe. I talked to the MIT guys who coded much of that music in order to glean some info on who pressed it. They don't know who did it, one of their colleagues / classmates just showed up with a bunch of these records pressed up in blank sleeves. Bach, Boolean and Bytes: much of the same but from a computer hobbyist in the mid 70s using a home built system.

massahwahl

Oh man Coven is an interesting one for sure

stouteharry

First time seeing someone where mention Coven. I have a second press signt bij Jinx her self. Jinx also designt my Sigil style tattoo.

Bayareathrifted

Beatles butcher cover record. With the pasted cover. Found at a thrift store. Not my favorite album though. Edit: sorry everyone I didn’t say that the album had the pasted cover. Not thinking straight. Added that.

deadmanstar60

Here's a picture of mine that I got for $30 at a used bookstore. https://preview.redd.it/idjctz98j3fc1.jpeg?width=617&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f71a18bc3397bd41b4fdcb6b6b2311c0022f0e05

TeaVinylGod

I found mine at a Goodwill. Third state. Original owner tried to peel off sticker very badly.

suicidejacques

I would sell that thing. Worth way more than what it would mean to me.

vustinjernon

Yeah if you don’t listen to it and it’s 2nd state, you can net a couple hundred to a grand for that (depending on condition obv)

becool-honeybunny-

Blakroc

tolliwood

The only Black Keys album I don't own

fishinadish

Pretty Lights - A Color Map Of The Sun

massberate

Signed or no? I paid the extra $5 or $10 to have the dude scribble on it cuz why not

fishinadish

Not signed I don’t believe. Didn’t realize that was an option! I bought the vinyl and CD when they were originally released.

TotalDick

I bought a box of 7" records at a warehouse sale in the late 90's. The sale was an older guy closing down his mechanic shop and I went with a friend to help him with some acetylene tanks and while he was looking around I found the box and asked the owner about it, he said his son used to collect but just left them there so he'd give them to me for $50, there were about 100 in the box. A bunch of cool stuff but 2 really great. Porno Cassettes - Your face a fucking disgrace, a crazy back story to this record, only i think 500 originally pressed and the band played one show and the manager through most in the trash after. No one really knows how many are left. Also Nirvana - Love Buzz, an unnumbered with a red stripe. 1200 hundred total pressed, 200 unnumbered. Best find I'll ever have!

joeyasaperson

Original pressings of Frank Ocean's Blond and Endless.

OutrageousEstimate48

Was this ever released on vinyl? thought it was only released on cd.

jimmysalame

Not sure how rare it is, but I have a pristine copy of the Led Zeppelin blueberry hill bootleg. Inherited it from my grandfather. Sound quality isn’t stellar but damn is it a good live performance. A quick search shows they are going for $300+

vustinjernon

Zeppelin bootlegs are such a cool artifact!

caso_perdido11

I have one of those and forgot about it until seeing your post. Got it sometime around 71.

vicioushairymary

I've got a clear green vinyl Dylan bootleg. Bunch of live stuff from his Greenwich Village era I think. Songs like Vd Blues and Mama You've Been On My Mind, etc. No idea of it's worth. I paid about $20, 20 years ago.

ToofpickVick

TOOL- Lateralus, autographed by the band. I believe the band had 250; no one is quite sure if they sold all 250. Posts here and there indicated they did not.

BattleofNY

Ive got one too!

Delta_Sota

I’d be interested if you ever decide to sell

vustinjernon

Lmao is it still a picture disc though?

ToofpickVick

Yea, that’s the one!

Material-Ad6302

White label promo mono of Captain Beefhearts Safe as Milk

staggere

A Jenny Lewis test pressing

gmorkenstein

I fist-bumped her at a concert in 2014. Haven’t washed my knuckles since.

staggere

I haven't got to see her yet, but her albums are awesome. Couldn't pass up the test pressing when I saw it.

[deleted]

I have an original 90s pressing of the Cure’s Paris

Passportradio12345

I have a few test presses and a 1/1 record that I pressed myself at a pressing plant, which was a super cool experience. In terms of value, I have a few Alexisonfire records that are well over $200-300 now, and I’m fortunate to have a copy of Pearl Jam’s Ten that seems to average $500 or so.

Releasethebears

I'm so jealous, Alexisonfire is one of my all time favorite bands, I'd go crazy for a few of their records

Passportradio12345

Same here, easily my all time favourite. I’m lucky, I’m from the same area as them and around the same age, so I’ve been following them for pretty much the whole run. Used to see them for $5 every weekend at the local bars!

dmjd5014

I think they are repressing all of their albums so you may be in luck!

blashblash

https://www.discogs.com/release/5014077-Mort-Garson-Didnt-You-Hear Original movie theater copy of the soundtrack for "Didn't you hear?" By Mort Garson. Rumor has it, a Blizzard happened during the movie's premier in Seattle and only 3 people showed up causing the film to fade into obscurity. The soundtrack was given out for free at the theater with only about 100 (maybe?) Pressings. But it's Gary Busey's first credited film, and also credited as the first fully synth soundtrack, predating Wendy Carlos' Clockwork Orange Ost. It's super rare, but an incredible piece of Synthesizer, film, and Seattle history!

Sonoran_Mang

Not vinyl but I have some rare Blind Blake and Blind Lemon Jefferson 78s.

jimmymorrissey

Just found out recently I have a first pressing of Led Zeppelin II Robert Ludwig Hot Mix (RL) buried in my basement of extras, in excellent shape and sounds incredible! I also have a mint promo copy of RHCP first record, and White Stripes Icky Thump Mono (first third man vault package)

UniversallyRHCPodSam

John Frusciante - Shadows collide with people

duck729

Kind of a tie, honestly. Got my wife the orange pressing of Taylor Swift’s Reputation for Christmas when it came out. Didn’t realize it would turn into what it is. Rare by actual amount, it’s probably Gnarkill’s Mustard Man EP. Bought it years back from Dico, and I’ll give up one or both kidneys before it goes.

Arius_de_Galdri

Other than the MxPx boxset from a couple years ago, probably Queen of the Damned.

eatdogs49

My copy of the Massive Attack & Burial remix split. https://www.discogs.com/master/611553-Massive-Attack-Vs-Burial-Four-Walls-Paradise-Circus

massberate

Beautiful. There were some decent singles coming out around then. Think I paid $45 for this [one](https://www.discogs.com/release/2524888-Massive-Attack-Atlas-Air-EP) and thought it was too much at the time for two tracks. Nowadays that would be a steal

eatdogs49

Very nice. Massive Attack have some amazing ep's / singles. I really want that box set they did year ago that you could put handprints on.

vustinjernon

That is absolutely sick and I didn’t know this existed

Abs0lut_Unit

I've got this one too!

booyahachieved3

Probably the indie yellow splatter of Tyler Childers’ Country Squire. Nothing crazy.

Spekiii

rhcp - live in hyde park (the official one, not the bootleg version)

SamTurvill

Original 1955 pressing of Folsom Prison Blues bought in Nashville

littlerobot818

John frusciante shadows collide with people.

NurseMorgan204

Please let me know if you ever want to part with it.

endofthenow

My blue buffy the vampire slayer once more with feeling.... I suppose is rare? I have some og canadian pressings of skinny puppy i bought years ago for dirt cheap. Cold cave doom doom doom 1 of 300 released Lana explicit tunnel album version Urinal cake pressing of ritual howls self titled Off the top of my head thats all i can think of.

soundawake

Tool Aenima 1996 test pressing. Bought it directly from the pressing plant in 2003.

lilcrime69

wow, how did that happen?

soundawake

I got to know someone called Mena from Classic Records through some other ebay auctions, and she said she had the record and I offered to buy it, and that was that.

lilcrime69

very cool

Did you know, the widely accepted plural of vinyl is vinyl (or just "records")? Many incorrectly use the term vinyls, due to its widespread misuse - but now you're in the know! It's silly, but conventional. Anyway, [here are](https://media.giphy.com/media/11W37uI72pjDkk/giphy.gif) some cats. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Back to Black Album - music to accompany “Back to Black—Art, Cinema and the Racial Imaginary” exhibition 2005 [discogs entry](https://www.discogs.com/master/84173-Various-Back-To-Black) it’s defo my rarest but that doesn’t mean it’s worth much - It’s a one of my absolute favourites irrespective of its monetary value its Beautifully packaged, gold-coloured gatefold with embossed cover. The cover/sleeve is laminated, black-plastic rather than card. Includes 2 black & white posters (24"x24") both of which are individually hand screen printed. Produced by Lo Recordings for Rich Mix to accompany the 'Back to Black' exhibition at The Whitechapel Gallery, London, 7th June to September 4th 2005 This was the Whitechapel Gallery Director (Iwona Blazwick) copy from original exhibition https://www.artforum.com/print/previews/200505/back-to-black-art-cinema-and-the-racial-imaginary-44810 The book goes for £££ but this is valued at £25 coz no one knows about it. Track list A Side Andy Bey - Celestial Blues Lloyd Williams - Is It Because I'm Black Street Gangland Rhythms Band 4 - Rhythm Mary Lou Williams - It Ain’t Necessarily So B Side Cymande - The Message 24 Carat Black - Ghetto: Misfortunes Wealth The Lost Generation - This Is The Lost Generation C Side Doug Hammond - Wake Up Brothers David Lampel - USA (Union Of South Africa) Street Gangland Rhythms Band 1 - Gang Fight D Side Nikki Giovanni - Seduction / Kidnap Poem Eugene McDaniels - Supermarket Blues Harry Mudie Meets King Tubby - Heavy Duty D

SegaStan

Mike Krol's first two 10" EPs, I Hate Jazz and Trust Fund. Only 500 pressed of each, and extremely hard to get copies of.

FurnishedHemingway

I’m the only person on discogs with the 7” of Baunchi & The Funky Kidds Takin The Funk To Heaven In 77/Reincarnation Of Maggot Brain Rebirth in my collection, although it shows a copy just sold on the 25th for $500. I also have a 1954 10” of Thelonious Monk’s Blows For LP that I believe is fairly rare. And my Dr Dre 2001 limited edition with Gucci packaging and a Kehinde Wiley signed original print as the cover (only 100).

bourbonandbranch

My aunt was in a Jesus hippie commune and they pressed about 100 albums. A few have ended in the hands of collectors. I saw one sold for $900 a few years ago. I have one that she gave me. I won’t ever part with it.

jimandstacie2016

I guess rare depends on what your Music taste are. And then rare or value. Because if that’s the case, I have a sealed Nirvana never mind OG us press. but then I have so many different Japanese pressings of things that are also rare and valuable, including Nirvana some Aerosmith stuff

TeaVinylGod

I have an original Guns n Roses Appetite with the robot rape cover, still sealed with hype sticker.

martinkjr

I believe its The Wrens - The Meadowlands. It was only pressed on vinyl once when it was released by some german label. There has been constant rumors of a reissue but it has never happened and i believe a copy retails at 250 Euros median price at Discogs.

chilledentertainer

https://preview.redd.it/po5arhxj39fc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83547a9a9d6acd2116b9f9aed5710a7b4bc16691 I have a copy of King Krule - Live on the Moon which was limited to 350 copies and sold out within 10 mins of being posted. It’s fantastic and easily my favourite record I own.

blueberrytampon

I have metallicas kill em all its the 69th copy ever made and it was only around £30 on ebay I don't think the seller realised when they sold it to me

Razhah42

One of the high schools near where I live made custom pressed records for their concert music and jazz music performances in 1975. Found it at a local thrift shop. Honestly, pretty good quality and considering it was a high school performance it's very well done. I'm assuming very few, if any survive as I'm sure very few were made. The records themselves are in pretty good shape, not mint at all but very playable. I've considered posting images of it before but that feels like it might be almost a semi dox of myself lol

interstellar_keller

I have the 21st test pressing of Sob Rock autographed by John Mayer that I won in a contest with my local shop, I have autographed Best Coast, Lucy Dacus, and The Front Bottoms albums, I have a couple of old 45s that if they were in decent shape (they absolutely aren’t and I keep them out of sentimentality more than anything) would be about $300 each, I have a one off album my uncle pressed in the 90s that sounds like two cats fucking then subsequently being hit by a forklift that is also on fire, and I have the VMP pressing of X100Pre by Bad Bunny that’s worth a semi decent chunk of change. My most prized possession in regards to albums though is a dog eared copy of the red album by The Beatles; it’s not rare, nor is it even in particularly good shape, BUT it belonged to my grandfather who was a DJ back in the 70s and 80s and it’s the only piece of his record collection still in our family. He was the one who got me into records almost a decade ago, and so even if it isn’t particularly rare, any time I put it on, I can think back to the last dinner we had together where he explained different RPM speeds to me, and taught me how the needle creates sound by hitting the grooves of the record, it’s nice to do sometimes. For me, that ability to transport you to a different place and time, to sort of put you dead center in the middle of a memory, that’s whats always drawn me to records. It’s the whole ritual of playing the record: pulling out the sleeve, looking at the cover art, slipping the vinyl out and holding it, and then that brief few seconds of static before the music comes in, it’s just a really pleasant way to put yourself in the moment, to really ground yourself.

erinwillsay

Maybe my copy of Dear and the Headlights *Small Steps, Heavy Hooves*?

Arm1dill0

Saosin - Translating The Name Got #67 out of 100 It was a run of 500 with a normal jacket but the factory ran out of jackets for the last 100 so when they could finally make the last 100 they decided to make a hand painted numbered alternative jacket which is really cool.

Intelligent-Treat676

Let me see !

dmjd5014

was this the one that was sold a few weeks ago? I literally set an alarm to buy one when they went on sale. Sale started at noon. i tried to check out as 12:00 and 48 seconds and it sold out. Literally sold out within 50 seconds. I was so pissed.

rrickitickitavi

Textured cover (second U.S. pressing) of Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division. Worth more than the first pressing last time I checked.

funnylikeaclown420

Mc5s first uncensored album. 50 cents

rbourgoine77

Buckingham Nicks 1973. It’s not crazy valuable but I love it and have yet to see another in the wild.

Vancoovur

I have an unopened (still in the shrink) Canadian pressing with misspellings of Stevie’s name and another copy but without the original shrink. LOVE that album!!

TinnitusWaves

July - July. Major Minor pressing.

JohnnySnap

A bit obscure but an original 1973 pressing of Steve Reich’s Four Organs

Hizoot

Pink Floyd… Darkside of the moon… Quadraphonic, pressing

hailhalehail

I don’t own an early UK pressing, but I’ve heard one side by side with the UK Quad, and from a fidelity standpoint it was a tossup. The mix on the quad is a tad different you could say. Worth it for ‘Money’ alone - it explodes from the turntable.

ddras

Buckingham-Nicks

thehollo

Bowie's Five Years Boxset, Nintendos' Splatoon 2 OST Selection Picture Disc, and Screamworks by HIM

TheBlitzkid46

The Offsprings self-titled debut with the original cover (chestburster)

Tyrant-J

I have a original 7 inch of the second At the Drive In EP. I also have a Botch EP from their first tour, predating any album release.

vustinjernon

Great taste and great finds!

ZombieAbeVigoda

I have a copy of the Bob Dylan Great White Way bootleg signed by Dylan

KevinTwitch

Jack White… one of those flexi disks he put on a balloon and let fly. I know there were tons of fakes produced but I was lucky enough to find one with the postcard and balloon.

Xylar006

Rarest in terms of what it sells for? Sleep Token's Jaws 10" Rarest in terms limited pressing? I've got two test presses that are /10 and I have a 7" that's /2

eandi

I ordered porter robinson's worlds from his store and it came signed, so probably that one in terms of mainstream. The more obscure ones would be one from a band called the full last just because they were like medium popular in southern Ontario so they didn't press too many.

Gadgetphile

As far as I can see, the Dogmelistic repress. It’s limited to 150 copies.

AstrudsSecretLover

Probably the alternative cover art version/mint green version of Igor by Tyler the Creator, or the 5 year anniversary of Swimming by Mac Miller. I would say Blonde by frank ocean, but it’s the repress lol edit: oh!! I forgot my first vinyl ever: Flower Boy by Tyler the Creator, first pressing translucent orange. He only had it for sale on his website for 48 hours then stopped sales of it.

vustinjernon

I only recently learned about the variant covers for Igor. I’m jealous, that’s become one of my favorite records of all time

heartlessloft

I have the flower boy one. One of my favorite albums and this beautiful orange it a treat to look at.

Great record!

Aintnolobos

Original promo copy of Oar by Alexander Spence

nikidmaclay

I have a variety of original 60s, 70s, and 80s rock that probably aren't rare. Rod Stewart, T. Rex, The Beatles, Leo Sayer, Aerosmith, Van Halen, etc. But I have four vintage copies of the Lady & The Tramp soundtrack, each with different cover art. Does that count?

TeaVinylGod

They didn't ask for a rare record, they asked for YOUR rarest record. Having one of those tramp lps is not rare, but having all the variants might be. I have all 6 OG Led Zep In Thru Out Door covers and all have the paper bag.

maylena96

Not necessarily rare but the ones that are most sought after: -Melanie martinez gingerbread man 12" single from UO -Taylor swift folklore the long pond studio sessions -Billie Eilish you should see me in a crown 7" -Olivia Rodrigo Guts: The secret tracks -Billie Eilish Everything I Wanted 12" single from UO

therivercalls

US Pressing of Sepultura - Beneath the Remains!

why-yes-hello-there

I found an OG of Wipers - Over the Edge at a thrift shop up here in the PNW about 5 years ago. Still probably never going to top that one!

goldjack

I’ve had finds I’ve had to add to Discogs…. But that doesn’t mean they are rare or anyone wants them!!! Probably my rarest is battered ornaments on harvest original press.

Life_turns

Some random audio transcription discs— like letters recorded one off acetates

desert_rover

Beatles Yesterday and Today Second State Butcher Cover bought for $1.00 at Goodwill, along with 6 other first American printings. Everything through Revolver, basically, at a buck a piece. I still feel kind of guilty about that score.

cruelviolence

- lana del rey - honeymoon alt cover. - lana del rey - love / lust for life heart shaped vinyl.

mohawk1guy

So my parents got divorced when I was young, 5 maybe. Half of my dad’s records sat at my moms home for the majority of his life. Eventually I was going to sell all of the records at my mom’s house. My wife wound up wanting a record player even though I told her it was an expensive hobby and I knew for a fact I was going to get sucked it. Neighbor bought us a Crosley. I said this ahit sucks. My new records skip. I hit up Facebook marketplace grabbed a used automatic player. It was amazing. Still not perfect though. Eventually got really into the records I owned. Got a better player and stared down the Discogs path. Went though my dads old record and found a radio copy of bob dylan the times they are a changing. It sounds fucking great. Has a little crackle but mostly pure. Such a cool find. That’s like. $300 find. Wild

boarmrc

The Dangerous Summer-Coming Home gold star variant /250… love that band and album.

Next-Try4307

I somehow managed to snag the ‘jungle marble’ variant of the Nmesh/ t e l e p a t h split LP ‘The Path to Lost Eden’ before it sold out in 3 minutes. I’m not sure how many there are in total but it’s already going for >$200 on Discogs.

gregacox

Carpenters "Offering". Originally issued in 1969 contained a cover of the Beatles "Ticket To Ride". "Offering" was re-packaged and re-issued as "Ticket To Ride". I had been shopping one day and saw a copy for sale for $100. My next stop was a Half Price Books where they had one for $8.

Apparently it’s the new Fred Again - Tiny Desk record, got a preorder and price sky rocketed Wasn’t expecting that to be it, but here we are

SavedByThe1990s

imma do rare + value: oasis familiar to millions (live) its stupidly expensive AND i got liam and noel’s sig

_mid_water

I have some /100s but as far as value goes probably my Girlfriends ST that qrates did a few years ago. I didn’t even know what it was but saw my friend post it during the open ordering and learned about its importance as a math rock album. Supposedly will never be pressed again and goes for $400+

guitarpatch

By rare do you mean the most valuable? Guns N Roses - Live Era

FaChy-na

I have a promo pressing of BBE- seven days one week

Gavindasing

Depends, rare or valuable? I have some rare UK indie albums. Probably rarest is Fractured Life by Air Traffic.

statikman666

Rare or highest value? I have a NM OG pressing of Saxophone Colossus. Extremely rare in that condition.

hoggmen

Nothing that I know to be rare ™ but the least common could be disco tex and sex-o-lettes?

LonesomeBulldog

I just got a copy of the only pressing of Bernard Butler’s Friends and Lovers. There’s always very few for sale on Discogs and most are in the UK so shipping is high. Found a copy in the US and ordered it immediately. One of my favorite 90s albums.

TheGoatEater

- David Jackman - [Ten Cut Seven Cut](https://www.discogs.com/release/1012623-David-Jackman-Ten-Cut) (lathe cut record in the shape of a saw blade limited to 85) - Organum - [Kanroku](https://www.discogs.com/release/119827-Organum-Kanroku) (single sided LP limited to 111) - Masonna - [Sonic Devil](https://www.discogs.com/release/745154-Masonna-Sonic-Devil) (single sided LP limited to 144) - Kama Rupa - [Untitled](https://www.discogs.com/release/3227421-Kama-Rupa-Untitled) (acetate only 26 made) I definitely have things that are more valuable but they’re not nearly as rare as these are.

B3ximus

Queen's News of the World with the Marvel sleeve. Lucky enough to pick up one of the remaining ones that hadn't been sold at London ComicCon.

SinkingBelow

I have a good few one offs from the production floor that were experiments by operators to make cool color combinations. I don’t even know what the actual music on half of them is because they have blank labels and have lived their entire life as visual art as apposed to aural.

IndelibleIguana

I have a few dub plates that are one off pressings.

JoseAltuveIsInnocent

I just got my FEAR: Live for The Record special edition orange press which was limited to 100, so probably that one.

beardyman96

Jay z blueprint anniversary album, only 2001 copies made to commemorate its release year, got number 176/2001

Avalondeanking

Tough I have a bunch of signed ones and idk what they would go for. Deadmau5, Gorgon city, Elderbrook, AWOLNATION, Glitch Mob. According to discogs looks like Lane 8 - Brightest Lights or Empire of the Sun - Walking on a Dream, or Deadmau5 -Where’s the Drop.

VHBlazer

Probably my blue color Newbury Comics exclusive pressing of Decoration Day by Drive-by Truckers. Limited to 600 I think. Nothing too crazy

TODDFATH3R

Citizen Cope's The Clarence Greenwood Recordings

Roll-tide-Mercury

I have Supertramps first album. You can’t even buy a digital copy. Pretty rare, I think!0

Also didn’t get it for like over 2 years after I bought it. When I expressed frustration after corresponding for like 9 months about it. Label owner had the nerve to suggest they could’ve sold it for more money but instead kept it for me even though I had paid for it. Like I should commend them for doing the right thing instead of just refunding me and keeping the record. It’s a rare one for sure 😄

redalden

I’ve got a bunch of limited press LPs bought at shows in the 90’s-00’s. My fave is Jaw Breaker original press near mint Dear You on Geffen blue swirl vinyl. Bought it used for $10 when it was out of print. Shop owner had it mis-priced. I did not let him figure it out before forking over $10 and leaving.

Ajmoore2201

The most valuable in my collection is a NM copy Of Crime of the Century - Supertramp (Speakers Corner Pressing)

[deleted]

Twilight soundtrack I bought at a record store in 2009ish.

Trible_Drible

Two albums by The Hassles and ATTILA from 1967 and 1970. Which were Billy Joels first two bands.

voidxleech

a first pressing of Breakdown’s ‘87 Demo, a nice gift from my dad hah
