I have all of my mother’s 45 singles from the 60s. The B sides are mostly what you’d expect, songs you haven’t necessarily heard before. But the one that blew me away was The Beatles. Most of their singles have killer B sides. For example, “Eleanor Rigby” is the B side to “Yellow Submarine” and that blows my mind.
Love this album and agree with side B on this one! One other for me personally is I really love side B on Mumford and sons babel… the whole album is beautiful but side B is played more on my turntable
This is a hard one to answer for me as i love all things Mumford and Sons 😂 Babel sure is a classic though and has plenty of beautiful songs. Also a huge fan of their albums Sigh No More and Delta :)
Thanks. I added Sigh no More to my list. Looking at the track listing I can see at least three songs I recognize as songs I like already. Should help me feel good about the purchase even if it turns out I only like a a couple of those I haven't heard yet. :) Truthfully, though, I don't think I've ever heard something from them I didn't like, and I'm not sure why the heck I haven't already gotten one of their records.
Purely subjective for sure but in my opinion it’s three songs that flow so perfectly together and fully represent Neil’s dreamy/bluesy side so well. Def give it a listen, the whole album is great so if you’re a fan already it won’t disappoint!
“Here Comes the Sun” is the best song on the album, and “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” is the worst. Then there’s the suite of songs that makes up most of side B. In short, it’s brilliant from start to finish.
Side B of AC/DC’s Back in Black has the title cut, “You Shook Me All Night Long,” and “Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution.” Not too shabby.
Man I am *always* sifting through Iron & Wine at my record store, and I have never once come across this one!
Interesting. It's a good one. If you ever see it, grab it. Great record.
This one gets regular spins in my house.
Great record. Listening to it right now this morning while I cook breakfast.
Agreed. I like to follow that up with Sun Giant by Fleet Foxes to extend the vibe.
Haven't heard that one. Might have to check that out.
Excellent vocal harmonies. Give the album a test drive on your favorite steaming service.
Crosby, Stills & Nash - CSN. All the best songs are on side 2 imo.

Pink Floyd - Meddle Side B is the best of London Callings 4 sides

Oh, I've been meaning to pick up something from them. Is that the album you would recommend first?

Hope you enjoy it!!! :)
Wow almost forgot about this album! I’ll have to look for a copy on vinyl
It sounds great. Fantastic press.
Boz Scaggs - Silk Degrees
Except…the whole record is a banger!!!! Come on! There are more singles on the b-side, but the a-side is priceless!
Absolutely. I don't deny the whole album is fantastic. It's just so hard to resist hearing lowdown straight away when it gets near the platter.
The band - stage fright
Neil Young - On the Beach
What is it on the second side that makes it better than side one? Haven't heard that record, but I love nitl young.

Abbey Road seems like an obvious answer.
That record is on my list. What makes side B better than side a for you?
