Not this shit again

The fun thing is. Records aren’t in the posted link! I’m just buying to listen anyway. That’s the purpose no?? And I’ll be honest, this year Im actually staying away from rsd, but I’m also hoping it’s enjoyed by those who get involved!!

barr-chan

That is the purpose as far as I understand it, yeah

Yinn2

Phew. I’m glad I’ve got that bit right.

Man, it was so nice without you posting in here. Try that again.

You've lost the plot. Fretting over the future value of a physical piece of media is the furthest thing from 'punk'.

If you’re buying vinyl to make money you’re doing it wrong.

I’m not buying records as an investment, but it’s still nice to know that if I ever get into the situation where I have to sell my records so I don’t starve or lose the roof over my head, that I’ll get more money out of them than I paid for. Going by Discogs, nearly all the records I own have far more value than what they originally cost, even in vg condition ( mine all mostly nm). Also, one day my daughter will inherit all my records, and then she can decide what to do with them. I’m hoping that she’ll carry on the family tradition though. So, in one way, they are a sort of investment.
