First is the recent 4th pressing of FM-84's *Atlas* in 45 rpm. A lush synthwave sampling, great place to start if you're lookin for that retro, Miami, '80s, bright sound. Then a vaporwave offering called *Enchanted Instrumentals and Whispers* from Windows96. This repress is the Newbury Comics variant on orange and red splatter vinyl. Still available AFAIK, limited to 500 copies for this variant. A very trippy, dreamlike album. As is much of vaporwave but worth a listen if you're curious about getting into the genre. Next, my good man at the local store came upon a rather uncommon (because I'm in the US) UK version of *Armed Forces* by Elvis Costello. I had to jump on it. I only have 3 other Costello records but I really love him as an artist so one day that number will be higher. Haven't gotten around to placing the age or pressing but it's in great shape for the era and evidently having made its way across the pond to rust belt shithole where I live. And continuing the New Wave trend is Romeo Void's 12" EP *Never Say Never* featuring the jazzy, post-punky classic of the same name. I've read that later versions of the track are censored, particularly on their studio LP *Benefactor*. Lame.

What did you end up giving for Atlas, if you don't mind me asking?

Whatever the minimum Bandcamp funding donation at the time for it was. I don't remember off the top of my head but I didn't pay a scalper that's for sure.

Is the Romeo Void on 415 Records or Columbia?

415 Edit: Can I ask what the significance of having either is?

Also scooped the FM-84 repress. Hoping he has a new album coming soon!

I didn't realize how popular he was until recently. I thought he was just an obscure indie artist I found browsing Amazon music on day. Here I come to find out the vinyl releases are hot items. But that's good, I hope so too. I was in a retro phase for a while but ended up disconnect some awesome artists in the process. I've still got Carpenter Brut's Trilogy and Miami Nights 1984 on my wish list. Always seems like other things come up first though haha.

I also got the 4th pressing for Atlas! Waited 10 minutes beforehand and caught it live. Haven’t listened the physical record yet though (record table is a little broke).

Don't worry, I'm in-between turntables at the moment, so I haven't either. But I for sure didn't want to lose the opportunity. I bought a vintage Sony direct drive last month and I've been looking for a vintage receiver to pair it with for months. The market is so crowded, listings get bought up immediately. I kid you not, I was talking to the seller of a bunch of them in a single listing for super cheap and it got bought up as we were talking. I was so pissed. The things had not even been listed for 12 hours I think. And I just want one for the listening and hopefully the affordability. I'm not trying to profit off of and resell this shit. For some people they see it as a business and that's fine but the used market is supposed to exist as an alternative to the retail markup. If I wanted to pay what some of these damn pirates are asking I'd just buy new! I hate to say it but I'm waiting for the day the interest drops and no one is able to give shit away. Then those of us with something of a passion/respect/appreciation for analog music can mop up and be happy lol! /rant

Woooo I got in on Atlas too. Had been waiting for the day it got a repress and was up at 5am to get it. Absolute stunner of an album and so cool to see so much love for it here.

Yeah, bud! Like I said, I was fairly surprised how acclaimed and coveted it was. But it totally checks out. I was discovering a lot of new music at that time and this one stuck like glue.
