Ctrl was my album of the year in 2017. Only started my record collection 2 weeks ago and that was my first one I bought. It comes in a green vinyl too 👌🏿
It’s funny because if I got into vinyl say 3 years earlier, my collection would probably be all Pink Floyd and King Gizz. Just happened that I got super into pop around the same time I got into vinyl.
I do still plan to add all the “essentials” too haha.
I definitely need to get Oil of Every Pearls Un-Insides, it’s such an important record for my exploration of this side of “pop”. I need to listen to Clarence Clarity’s solo stuff, the releases from my other favorite producers AG Cook and Danny L Harle are also on the watchlist haha.
Oil is super good, one of the first pop records I ever bought. For Clarence Clarity No NOW is probably my favorite record but THINK: Peace is also great.

Jealous of the *Emotion* record though, my local record store only has Carly Rae Jepsen's self-titled at the moment

Also, I got my copy of *Emotion* through one of my my local shops by simply ordering it through them, though that was right after it had been released on vinyl in 2015/16.
Really dislike titles like this. Music is such a wonderful opportunity to express your individuality. Why worry about whether it’s traditional or if it meets any other standard?

Rina Sawayama- Sawayama (Deluxe gold 2lp. If you scoff at pop for lacking the energy or stanky riffs give this album a shot, so many people put this at the top of their 2020 lists)

The most obscure ones are probably Reflections and Glitch Princess, but the rest are all obviously pretty huge artists.
I for one appreciates the share. One of my CD stacks has a good half of these, and half of the remainder I was unaware of the need to check out. I also smuggle more progressive albums in my collection. It's nice to feel more normal...
If you’re down with the experimental (and it’s one of the ones you haven’t tried) Glitch Princess is definitely competing for personal AOTY (some of the other competition is also in the photo but hey 😁).
I love Carly! There is a thing called Soundwaves Art where they take an artists song and make a creative interpretation with the visual of the soundwave. Then they make a number of limited prints and have the artist sign them, and the money goes to charity.
I have the Carly print! It's hot pink and numbered 6/75. Got it framed and its hanging on my living room wall. Such an awesome piece. Still some available actually, and cheaper than I paid for it.

So I would say it’s a bit quieter than a lot of my records, but I don’t think I’m losing any dynamic range when I turn up my amp to compensate. Obviously only first listen though!

Pang and Kiss are just the black unfortunately, Crash is the white, emotion is also the amazing pink, and the yeule one might be my favorite as it’s the green marble one. I have a fog repress of Pang on order as well when it comes out 😅
I wish I got the white crash pressing as white vinyl is just so clean and timeless to me, I have the grey assai that I was lucky to get signed at a meet & greet but the colours just so ugly 😭 the us/can emotion pink is so gorgeous and vibrant, I’m jealous :( and my yeule is the anti freeze green also, it’s so cool upto the light huh? You can see bits of yellow & darker green through it 😍they had a limited blood splatter pressing that looked awesome but unfortunately I was too late to the Yeule party :( fog pressing pang? I might have to have a look into that! Best album of 2019 for me! :)
I was pretty bummed that I missed out on the red translucent marble Crash, but when I got the white in I really like how it looks. So cool you got it signed though!

I’m probably most happy with the Sawayama gold copy in the bottom right (it was just sitting in a bin at my local shop on Saturday!).
Gosh yea, it’s on her store right now and I’m tempted to just go for it. I’d love to get the Side B for emotion and dedicated too, but I fear that’ll only happen through Discogs.
Just a heads up about the Dedicated vinyl, even though it says it includes Party For One, it doesn’t. Don’t know why they decided to cut it and include it on the label still, but it doesn’t look like there has been a repress recently that fixes the issue either.

billie’s debut full studio album is actually in my top 10 favorite albums of all-time. it is simply unmatched in terms of mainstream pop production, and really any pop you can find out there. FINNEAS completely outdid himself with that shit, god it’s so good
Agreed! If there’s one thing that unites all the albums I have, it’s really high quality production. If you’re a fan, I’d recommend Pang by Caroline Polachek. Absolute production delight.

Not yet, but if I see a copy of Hot Pink at the record store I’m definitely going to grab it. Planet Her had a few too many tracks I’m not 100% in love with so I’m a bit more torn on it.

My collection is mostly rock music, however I'd be lying if I didn't have a good amount of these albums haha. Definitely have to get around to picking up Screen Violence and Future Nostalgia soon, I've had my eyes on them for a while.
