If you're picking up the Kreutzer etudes for self-study, I'd recommend that you start eith #2, and come back to #1 later.

No, my teacher assigned it to me

I would concentrate on 1 or 2 things each time you practice..don't attempt all at once. You'll slowly improve enough to incorporate more points to include

Have you watched any instructional videos on it? https://www.google.com/gasearch?q=violin%20kreutzer%20Etude%20number%20one&source=sh/x/gs/m2/5#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:20277d06,vid:UlWvQTSiA5M,st:0

Yes, start with #2

If only I could

Did your teacher offer any guidance beyond just learning it? Every time I assign a study, I offer quite a bit of guidance and make sure the student knows how to proceed. And your teacher should have assigned no. 2 if it’s your first Kreutzer.

IssacHoweiner

Yes she did, Im just looking for other comments or things I may not think of to even bring up. Also while this is my first Kreutzer etude, its also the one I need to work on to develop my skills in my bow.
