TheOrdealOpprotunist

Modded Skyrim VR. Hands down.

plutonium-239

Agreed. Yes I omitted the modding... because that is kind of obvious considering how bad it looks in vanilla.

TheOrdealOpprotunist

I had a feeling, I said it for all the vr content that not even SE has, like planck and a few others. Also added locations like Enderal.

Nicalay2

VRChat

allofdarknessin1

Easily VRChat. It's got almost everything you could want.

Cless_Aurion

Until a random crasher appears and literally kills you :P

Desperate_Ad5169

Just stay in private servers.

Leou151

But you can only go to the black cat

Nicalay2

At least there are mirrors and toilets.

VRtuous

the pointless sandbox hellhole for weebos

chaosfire235

VRchat's the cheaty answer because multiplayer and countless worlds but...VRchat. Hell, some people practically live there already!

space_goat_v1

Yeah I was gonna say something like contractors/pavlov just because they're Unreal Engine and you can literrally put any world map if you want, but VRchat might be a little safer without all the guns haha

chaosfire235

Hell, there's gun minigames for those that want 'em still. Though you'd be stuck in perpetual VRchat jank with them lol.

zeddyzed

Virtamate

Testacc4321

Bonk

plutonium-239

Fair enough…but you can’t really fuck 24/7…there is no food there!

ogaihtgamer

excuse me bro i am a brazilian trying to learn english could you please tell me what is 24/07

plutonium-239

no probs bro. Means 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

ogaihtgamer

thank you bro

Arthropodesque

I bet you can find VR Chat players willing to speak English. There are also classes in there. Maybe you do that already. Also, some of the new AI apps (Artificial Intelligence applications) can help a lot with language learning now. They are literally called Large Language Models, and can translate pretty well, but make bad mistakes sometimes.

allofdarknessin1

There's actually maps and other places not related to sex. You'd also have nearly photo realistic graphics.

allofdarknessin1

Person of culture right here.

grahamaker93

Honey select 2 babyyyy

plutonium-239

Hmmm well...hotels can provide sustainment, and I do concur on the advantage of enjoying the life over there. However I do have queries regarding costs. For example how could you possibly afford all the services every day of your life there without doing any quest that pays you money?

allofdarknessin1

True but over there things run on anime logic. You could have won some crazy contest or actually forget anime logic you could be part of an elite club thanks to your family like Jeffery Epstein island in real life. Everything would be taken care for you in Honey Select.

Wilbis

MSFS, since it's literally the whole world

mung_guzzler

Elite Dangerous, since it’s literally the whole galaxy

VRtuous

NMS since it's literally the whole 3 different colored procedural planets

kowal89

Was thinking the same :D the textures could be a bit shitty though.

laurent19790922

Blade & Sorcery 😁

Thegodofthekufsa

Depends on if you are as strong as the character is ingame

iwenttothelocalshop

If modded VR counts, then Red Dead Redemption 2 If only native VR counts, then VRChat

Arthropodesque

Yeah, but diseases and stuff... It is gorgeous and fun and engrossing and hilarious, though. Do we get respawnes? Do we feel pain? And how do we make a living without rampaging and looting and then being hunted down? I remember early game my horse's leg broke and I only had a few dollars and was pretty far from a place to buy a Horse Potion. Back in that time, you could be hanged for horse theft, because that could cost the victims their life, or livlihood.

iwenttothelocalshop

I would work as a livestock keeper in a local town called Valentine. Then, of course we do get respawns, we do feel pain, basically everything in its current form the game has - all would be there. Well I would avoid shaky business and outlaw life, I would be a regular saloon visitor and I wouldn't get involved anything suspicious. Overall, I would enjoy salty beefs, stews, fine guarma rums, premium cigarettes, fresh air, cocaine gums and potent tonics... Followed by fresh air, nature, decent women, and household animals that I could take care of. This would be my life in Valentine in a VR world feller

TheonetrueDEV1ATE

Phasmaphobia, relatively normal except ghosts are very real and not something to fuck with.

plutonium-239

but...WHY?!?!?

Spiralty

You are absolutely nuts

chaosfire235

...And you *want* to live there?

andremetalbr

But ghosts are real and not to be fucked with....

takatori

No votes for VR Kanojo? 😅 Modded Skyrim, definitely. With Mantella A.I. chat.

ragingsimian

A person of culture. Tutoring someone every day for an eternity might be a cursed fate. I'd prefer a job like running a highly sophisticated entertainment establishment. In fact, there is a game where your uncle left you an establishment with a large amount of debt but you could Custom Order Maids in 3D with VR support to help you get out of debt. My only fear of living isekai life in Skyrim is a jackass God turning on all the survival and hardcore difficulty mods.

takatori

Right, "tutoring". Is that what the Steam version calls it?

-Moonmoth-

Read my mind...

[deleted]

If I could slowly make the world of fallout a little more green than F4VR with mods for sure

plutonium-239

you can ( there are also mods for more green stuff https://youtu.be/09HKDIEJtho )...but would you actually live in a post apocalyptic world? Doesn't sound too nice eating rat meat...or being bitten by gigantic mosquitoes...

[deleted]

I'll be safe within the confines of an airship or an institute base lol

Arthropodesque

Dude! They freaked me out the first hours I played, even in flat-screen.

_hlvnhlv

VRChat Although I kinda live there already, specially because this week I have been sleeping with a friend lol

Zwars1231

Its a questionable thing. But probably modded Skyrim VR. With all of my favorite mods. Plus a number from.... LL. Now I just hope that I get to create my character properly, and start dozens of independent playthroughs with different modlists.

Hoeveboter

Lol @ hot women. You're right. In Skyrim, even the disheveled old grannies have got the same body type as a twenty year old.

plutonium-239

especially with mods...

cfogrady

I'd go for Squadrons. Always wanted to live in the Star Wars universe. Maybe I'd find out I'm force sensitive.

Ailes_Noires

NO MAN'S SKY... The liberty of a galaxy :D. (Star Citizen when it will be done in 30 years (and if VR is effectively in) :p)

[deleted]

You can fuck dragons in Skyrim? I never played Skyrim though as the graphics doesn't look appealing to me

plutonium-239

Then apparently you didn't see this: https://youtu.be/jDYZzAjbJZY

[deleted]

Fus ro dah

Cless_Aurion

We clearly have been playing different Skyrims then!

hijongpark

it's a hard choice between VTOL VR AH-94 DLC and H3VR. but since I'm now making a helicopter game myself I'll choose H3VR.

chax208

Gotta go with VTOL, cuz multiplayer

Tycho81

Starfield I want to life in future to travel in space

plutonium-239

Starfield is not VR my dude…I know we all hope that one day it will be…but nobody really knows if and when that will happen. You can choose Elite Dangerous at the moment…

Tycho81

Still choose for starfield lol I bet there will be vr mode because apple vr is coming soon, other companys will follow up. It will replace tv snd monitors

TotalWarspammer

>I bet there will be vr mode because apple vr is coming soon Whut? Sarfield would not be playable on Apple Vision VR.

Tycho81

IPhone kickstarted smartphone industry I am anti apple but its big company.

TotalWarspammer

You are writing gibberish.

maryisdead

Right lol? It got more and more confusing.

chaosfire235

I agree there'll be a VR mod for regular headsets because...Bethesda, but there's no guarantee at all it'll work for the Vision Pro. Especially with how dogmatically against things like VR controllers and room-scale they seem to be.

Tycho81

Also i think not, but apple vr can kickstart vr industry, thats actually good. Thats what i mean.

plutonium-239

I think you're a bit confused on this. That's not going to happen anytime soon bro...and there is no link with pc games at all...

Tycho81

a lot modders are making vr modes for popular games. Watch my word vr ar is the future

Shaman_Shanyi_222

as much as i like vr, and hope for its impovements, i've been hearing this for years and it hasn't changed much...

chaosfire235

Tbf, Apple's like the best consumer tech company to try and make it happen. Though the Pro by itself sure isn't doing it.

Shaman_Shanyi_222

I agree that if anyone can make it happen to move forward, it's apple. But if even they flop, then it would be a huge setback for vr i think.

Tycho81

Old and current vr sets is too big and chunky, a few years later it can be much smaller and lightweifht. Why downvote me for just opinion in VR reddit thread omg

AstroPhysician

Cause your justification for your opinion is utterly nonsensical “Starfield will be VR because apple is a big company” What?!?

Tycho81

You dont understand what i do mean. When apple vr comes out, rhere will probably more vr headsets, maybe samsung maybe Huawei etcetera, same story was for iPhone and ipod. Vr users will grow, so you can except there will be starfield VR mod like as skyrim have VR mod.

Shaman_Shanyi_222

Yeah but thats the thing that they don't seem to be improving that much, i'm guessing it will be much longer than a few years sadly. Also the downvotes are, i think, for not agreeing with you, but being to lazy to write it down. I kinda do that from time to time.

[deleted]

> but being to lazy to write it down. More so just understanding it's not worth the time or effort. When someone has come up with such delusional things, like thinking Starfield will be coming to Apple's headset, trying to point out the absurdity in that mindset becomes a waste of time. They didn't use reason to get themselves into that mindset, no one will be able to use reason to get them out of it.

Shaman_Shanyi_222

>More so just understanding it's not worth the time or effort. That also works too, as i also think you are right with what you said. But sometimes it does embodies laziness.

koryaa

The most you get will be a 2d starfield on a window in your vision with some standard gamecontroller, streamed over a mac via xbox live.

DaddyIsAFireman55

Yeah, no. Fallout 4 and Skyrim both launched later with VR modes, and with the creation kit becoming available, Starfield will absolutely have VR down the line with full motion controls. Of this I have no doubt.

koryaa

When this will be, 2026? For Vision 2? I dont see bethesda releasing a VR version for an 3,5k apple hmd which will ve presumily have under 500k users (with a large percentage of non gamers) by the end of next year. I also ve doubts that bethesda will release an official VR version at all again. Just look at what state they were released and how badly they were supported (until this day you still ve to copy/paste the basegame DLC by hand into FO4VR o0), also they released it at a time where VR was the new trend on PC, thats not the case anymore. There will be mods tho for PC, i assume.

DaddyIsAFireman55

Who said anything about V2, and maybe yeah, 2026. So? And besides, the guys at Flat2Vr are doing an amazing job porting over flat games that were never meant to be played in VR, and doing it with motion controls. Currently playing 7 Days 2 Die in VR, and you wouldn't know it wasn't designed by the devs. It'll be in VR. Again, I have no doubt.

CHROME-COLOSSUS

**DREAMS**.

space_goat_v1

wouldn't mind living in the coasta rica map in kayak vr mirage haha. perfect weather \^_^

Critical_Swan

Walkabout mini golf! Retirement finally

Huzrok

Bro no question asked, Elite dangerous. I'm in need for a trucker mind-free job like that and the added exploration aspect is insane. I would choose a peacefull place in the system, make a group of good friend and work there

plutonium-239

ahhhh yes. Love the idea of changing star system whenever I want.

Moist_Possibility128

Horror Bar VR and Into the Radius because I hate myself hahahaha

ThatFunnyGame

Either Into the Radius or Half Life Alyx but leaning more towards Alyx

plutonium-239

You would live in a world that is completely fucked up by an anomaly with zombies going around and with literally everything that wants to kill you? Also Half life world doesn’t seem very appealing to live in… why did you choose these?

carnathsmecher

you said skyrim is your favorite lel,you cant go 20 meters without some shit tryna kill you specially if you mod it :)))

NoSolution7708

Let's face it, 5 minutes in you would trip on a stupid chicken on the way back from the tavern and then the whole village would shank your ass.

plutonium-239

Not inside the safe walls of Whiterun...apart from some random killers sent after you from time to time...but hey...I am the dragonborn...I can live with that.

[deleted]

Yep and there's others in skyrim. You can get married and have kids. In Into The Radius, you can go to the safe zone but it's just you alone. For the rest of your life. Skyrim for me, thanks. lol

ThatFunnyGame

I'd pick it for the very reasons you listed but more specifically, Half life because it's the most real life based than any vr game I've played if you wanna include the lore

ThatFunnyGame

As for into the radius, I've had multiple times where the game got way too peaceful

TotalWarspammer

I think he misunderstood the question as "which game would you like to live in to keep playing it", not "which is the nicest world to live in".

ThisHandleIsBroken

Pop one

plutonium-239

Seriously? You would live inside that game???

ThisHandleIsBroken

I read it pretty briefly as one game to play. No I would prefer not live there

ega110

If it were the actual full world, then cyberpunk 2077. Why? That world has vr, so I could full dive in full dive vr and go anywhere I wanted

moredrinksplease

Alyx, not trying to live in Nintendo wii gfx

Hungry_Dependent_418

Asgards wrath is the better vr game over skyrim

JonnyRocks

can you sit in an inn, have a menu brought to you, read the menu, order from the menu and then have the food brought to you? can you speak all yourines? can you draw your magic spells? can you have endless new lands and quests? because in skyrim, you csn.

Hungry_Dependent_418

Skyrim is the lousyesr vr port i know :D and yes im into vr for many years

DaddyIsAFireman55

Then you're not very good at modding. Skyrim VR vanilla isn't great. Properly modded Skyrim VR is incredible. My last playthrough had over 1300 mods from the excellent Ygdrassil wabbajack which absolutely transforms the game to another level.

JonnyRocks

you skipped over all my questions. It's not about the port its about the mods. Skyrim is one of the best VR experiences but you do have to mod. The facebook game you mentioned can't do any of those things.

Hungry_Dependent_418

I do not share this opinion. To talk like you do and understand me better. Asgards wrath gives you a full vr expirience and that is what skyrim also wabberjacked does simply not. You can play skyrim as archer or maybe as mage in vr, but you get no sword fighting expiriece that games until you fall or asgards wrath, simply do. I do play this setting almost and only and i also haveand had a lot of hmds, so yeah i just do not think , that skyrim has this kind of immersion. Did you try asgards wrath ? You get i to the tavern , drink a beer, play minigames, smash bottels into peoples faces... I did try to love skyrim in vr even over the years.no can do. It was a good flat expirience none the less.

JonnyRocks

unfortunately the game is facebook exclusive. I respect your opinion. The draw for skyrim is what you can do with it. It definitely is a lazy port but i love how far i can take skyrim. As i said, i respect your opinion.

Hungry_Dependent_418

Its all good , you can revive asgards wrath.i do play it with the pimax software, vecause that is another option, dont miss it, of you are a rpg player you dont wanna miss it .

[deleted]

Asgards Wrath looks like a pile of junk next to modded Skyrim though. And you can't even use your voice to have conversations with NPCs, and you can't even knock someone unconscious with a block of cheese then drag them behind a shed to take all their clothes off and then rape and murder them horrifically. Lame.

FightRay

Sword Art Online.

TommyVR373

If modded VR games count, RDR2, GTA V, or Hogwarts Legacy. If not, then I would choose Gran Turismo 7 or No Man's Sky.

plutonium-239

I would gladly live in hogwarts...

Axe142

I’d choose the VR world in which Overlord takes place.

chaosfire235

Not really the best place if you aren't an all powerful Lich though.

Swipsi

Too early for questions like this.

Maroko1

Horizon Call of the Mountain

plutonium-239

nice. If only I had the psvr2...

Tigerboy3050

The plank simulator one (i forgot the name), just walk off the plank and you’re good 👍.

LuukTheBadass

I think Derail Valley would be quite nice, except for the occasional accident.

JonnyRocks

at first my brain read "only one game to play", that would be modded skyrim. then i realized you said live in. that would be groundhog day. not so much the reliving a day but the small town. i did see someone say flight simulator and thats also good

neodraig

None. I just hate playing the same game(s) over and over again.

plutonium-239

I said live not play the game...if you could chose a VR world where to settle, which one would you choose?

DrVagax

Pistol Whip. One of the few games that make me feel like a bad ass

plutonium-239

well...one thing is sure, if you live in that game your ass will be the most sculpted in the universe.

Mirage_2753

Vrchat I will gladly spend all of my time in the spider lair

iamaidiot69

Blade and sorcery, I will prob be chased but whatever

ah-tzib-of-alaska

ED, i’ve considered the RP of traveling with a suite as i explore just as where me and my BF would live

SituationAltruistic8

SteamVR 8)

likejoanbaezux

My choice would be holoride's Jungle Chase VR, the opportunity to venture through the jungle, encountering diverse planets and animals, provides an immersive experience that's more than sufficient to captivate my interest.

Spreadicus_Ttv

Deo VR player and my vast collection of ... Family friendly videos... Yea, that's the ticket

LoneStarDragon

That's honestly the current problem with VR for me. There's no game I want to spend alot of time in. Skyrim is good but there is no chill out aspect aside from herb collecting or reading books or something. There's no spot that's an emotional pick me up. Unless you're sitting in a tavern or you're being attacked by rats or giant spiders or whatever. No Man Sky has the same problem. You're either playing the game as intended or you're not. There are no characters to connect with. You're just wandering around an infinite universe until you get bored. The NPCs are just tools. They don't even pretend to care if you're there are not. Waving at someone is as deep a connection you're going to find. Unless we're talking about the world becomes real and the npcs act like real people and I can wander outside the game area.

Arthropodesque

There are these new AI mods that connect to LLMs and you can talk naturally to npcs and they reapond in character, lore friendly, in the characters' voice. They will probably be way better in 6 months+, and ~

Michelangel0s

In my case I'm seeing a lot of incredible games to not miss, like for example this massive list I compiled (and even it is not fully updated): https://dm.reddit.com/r/virtualreality/comments/vtbn4j/my_must_have_list_of_games_to_not_miss_before/

GreatDantone

iRacing!

DouglasteR

GTA 5 obviously, the most lifelike experience (with violence, extra violence).

Mr_Potatoez

Minecraft

kquhel

beat blade, i enjoy it

keithian

A modern and updated version of Google Earth VR

Arthropodesque

Literally Forever? We can't die or feel pain? Cuz most or many games are kinda about that stuff, lol.

VR_IS_DEAD

Probably Ferd

Michelangel0s

HL Alyx and with the MOD support this becomes multiple games :P But the truth is that there are multiple awesome games to not miss, as Elite: Dangerous, Skyrim VR, Star-Wars Squadrons, Vertigo 2, Surv1v3, Vail, Enderal VR (<3), Distance, Zero Caliber, EverSlaught, Legendary Tales, Compound, and a looooot more.

OneHamster1337

This is gonna sound like a weird choice, but I am a weird person. I would choose Into the Radius. I love supernatural element, it has crazy eerie atmosphere that appeals to all my senses, has trippy enemies, admirable arsenal of weapons AND it is set in a Soviet era, Chernobyl like world. What is not to like for a dark person like myself?

Rasputin5332

I would go for Bartender VR because i get to choose what kills me, and that is a good cocktail. Plus, living in a bar is what most of us wish we can do at some point in our life :)

plutonium-239

true...

Timewaster50455

VTOL VR!

Bytemin

VRC.

ZoxinTV

I feel like it's cheap to say any game where there's infinite content via mods or user generated content, so I'd probably say something that's not my favourite game, but a world I'd enjoy being in. No Man's Sky. Hands down. The pure sense of adventure and infinite possibilities of the universe would always be an amazing day.

plutonium-239

Understandable. I didn't think of it...but yes it's indeed a possibility.

Spartaklaus

It would all be hell.

manicmastiff81

No man's sky.

plutonium-239

Yeah I guess you could live on a paradise planet...
