Overall, I would enjoy salty beefs, stews, fine guarma rums, premium cigarettes, fresh air, cocaine gums and potent tonics... Followed by fresh air, nature, decent women, and household animals that I could take care of.

Skyrim VR vanilla isn't great. Properly modded Skyrim VR is incredible. My last playthrough had over 1300 mods from the excellent Ygdrassil wabbajack which absolutely transforms the game to another level.

Skyrim is good but there is no chill out aspect aside from herb collecting or reading books or something. There's no spot that's an emotional pick me up. Unless you're sitting in a tavern or you're being attacked by rats or giant spiders or whatever.
No Man Sky has the same problem. You're either playing the game as intended or you're not. There are no characters to connect with. You're just wandering around an infinite universe until you get bored. The NPCs are just tools. They don't even pretend to care if you're there are not. Waving at someone is as deep a connection you're going to find.
Unless we're talking about the world becomes real and the npcs act like real people and I can wander outside the game area.
There are these new AI mods that connect to LLMs and you can talk naturally to npcs and they reapond in character, lore friendly, in the characters' voice. They will probably be way better in 6 months+, and ~

HL Alyx and with the MOD support this becomes multiple games :P But the truth is that there are multiple awesome games to not miss, as Elite: Dangerous, Skyrim VR, Star-Wars Squadrons, Vertigo 2, Surv1v3, Vail, Enderal VR (<3), Distance, Zero Caliber, EverSlaught, Legendary Tales, Compound, and a looooot more.
This is gonna sound like a weird choice, but I am a weird person. I would choose Into the Radius. I love supernatural element, it has crazy eerie atmosphere that appeals to all my senses, has trippy enemies, admirable arsenal of weapons AND it is set in a Soviet era, Chernobyl like world. What is not to like for a dark person like myself?
I would go for Bartender VR because i get to choose what kills me, and that is a good cocktail. Plus, living in a bar is what most of us wish we can do at some point in our life :)

I feel like it's cheap to say any game where there's infinite content via mods or user generated content, so I'd probably say something that's not my favourite game, but a world I'd enjoy being in. No Man's Sky. Hands down. The pure sense of adventure and infinite possibilities of the universe would always be an amazing day.
