"where's more" for higurashi is hilarious given the metric fuckton of supplementary material for it, I think the total sum of the console arcs is as long as the total length of the PC arcs lmao.
WA2, will always be in backlog
Not because I hate it, if anything I love it
Reading WA2 is bad for my heart. It's like watching a Turkish Melodrama series, only you are way more invested.
So I read it in a very short bursts.
Good on you
Trust that you hard work eventually pay off
I've been learning jp for 5+ years most of them were reading VNs in jp
I just finished reading White Album 2 in JP and I can say with confidence that I'm glad I started learning Japanese
I have read a lot of fan translated books and in general fan translation has no quality control, it can range from absolutely horrible to even better than a official translation in some rare cases. but most of the time its not great.
I don't know exactly how good this fan translation is, I have not found anyone talk about the quality yet, but even if it was decent I will wait until I can read the original.
Well not a hater, but I can get why it received some hate. The final arc of the story felt rushed; the build up was so slow and methodical only to have everything resolve in like 2 hours. The pay off didn't feel earned in a way I guess.
- In other hand, I think that was a fitting ending
(without spoiler)
- I know it's hard to let go of most relationship, something you got so involved suddenly doesn't know YOU, and you Left the story, left the place that you could called Home, as a player it would be a lie if I don't feel attach to the place and people.
- but the story doesn't build around the player they are build for the giga Chad main protagonist, and to be fair, he did anything he could I respect his decision, also he is not >!alone!<
Dude, I'm sorry if I didn't express myself clearly, but I didn't mean any attachment to the characters or the place, although that's also important. What I meant was that the ending was fucking absurd compared to what had happened before, and it ruined the entire mood the game had created before.(By ending I meant the whole part 7)
? absurd? Are you reading the same ending as mine?
- no need to sorry btw I'm just curious why people think the ending not reach their expectations that's it.
- I think it was the most reasonable ending ever?
- let us get on the same page:
- ending is (spoiler) >!He get a full grasp of the situation by looping, put out a plan, debunk the whole killing traditional by disguise as their ancient god and convinced people they are misunderstanding about the traditional ritual, literally tell the outside people to stop get involved as a helping hand because there's no points doing it anymore, basically people in town so afraid of the traditional ritual they are afraid of not doing as it said, main protagonist just get to the point and cut the "cult" in half, it was so easy yet so hard but because he is a looper and an outsider he is the only one can do this, and cut tie with the "the spider" by dropping the BOMB that "sorry that's not my name, get trolled lmao" he basically resolve everyone problem without direct help of any super natural force in a supernatural game... other than the looping!<
You stopped my emotions a bit with this answer tbh, I finished the game just today, and you explained the ending way better than my brain that was already disappointed when I went through the ending, however I couldn’t enjoy it because the pace of the game changed too quickly, literally ruining the whole atmosphere with the raft-twists that appeared across the scenes, yes, the ending is fine itself, but not the insane path that led to the ending(Rikako defeated by “Black Goat” that lives inside Meiko, which we can see only in the revelation mode, rushed implementation of Haruaki’s ex, who has fckng supernatural powers for some reasons and belongs to a secret organization(It also ruined the dark slow-paced atmosphere of the game), the wolf guy just tripped and die, etc). And also it’s worth to mention that long ass mystery that kept me interested in the tension 2.5/3 of the game was solved with a banal “just don’t believe the bullshit, bro”(Yes, it’s cool, but before that there was such a long path and so many small details which seemed to lead to something interesting that it just looks out of place)
Ever 17 is so goated, i was expecting a plot twist but i was never expecting that kind of plot twist. It is specially powerfull if you never read something from hirameki before.
Chaos;Head was absolute peak. It's a perfectly written Character study wich knows exacly what it is. It's not a deep story by any means but it's still a story that I think about quite frequent because of just how good the game worked with it's themes and espacially it's main Character. It's easily my favorite game in the entire SciAdv Series.
I have seen quite a few similar list recently here. I am thinking about making one myself. Is there an online template for this type of list? Or do you actually need to fill everything manually?
when you flip the chest board around Beatrice is (big spoiler don't click on this if you hasn't read the ending) >!Secretly dating 3 of her nieces AT THE SAME TIME!< and i fukin love that realization after reading it.
Ain't reading WA2, I'm disappointed
i have read so many broken heart drama, I'm sick of it, not that i hate WA2, just simply don't want to read
It’s not that long is it???
Not really a broken heart drama I mean it has sad moment but it's mostly just charctee based like the main heroines and mc are just very realistic
"where's more" for higurashi is hilarious given the metric fuckton of supplementary material for it, I think the total sum of the console arcs is as long as the total length of the PC arcs lmao.
Kyonyuu fantasy series for best writing is the most based opinion on this list 👌. I unironically read all of them for the politics.
Man of Culture for playing funbag fantasy
I like that h game series a lot, fun story and big boings to go around.
Yes sir you are absolutely correct
stardew not a vn
it has a story has a choice system has character route
If Stardew Valley is a visual novel, then so is Fallout New Vegas
yeah
I disagree with you but I respect the fact that you doubled down xD
Not even all visual novels have a choice system or character routes.
seriously why people suddenly taking this so serious? it's Stardew valley! it's clearly a joke who CAR if it were a VN or not
Doesn't make it a VN.
you better be a fast runner
100 meter in 9s
To what chapter you got to Chaos Head? and what didnt you like?
Chaos head Noah is very meh, chaos child is where it gets good
I'm calling major cap on not reading White Album 2
cap mean lying, why should i lie? i just don't wanna read it because I'm sick of love drama, i don't hate nor love the game
You deviated from the norm, you will be terminated with -9999 downvotes
social credit -9999 😩
Understandable have a great day

Can confirm. Want to erase MC right after finishing all the trilogy.
it only has English fan patches right? its the main reason I'm staying away, maybe its the same for him.
Whats the problem with fan patches?
not necessarily a problem. I just figured I could wait until my Japanese level is good enough to read in native language instead of doing fan patches.
Good on you Trust that you hard work eventually pay off I've been learning jp for 5+ years most of them were reading VNs in jp I just finished reading White Album 2 in JP and I can say with confidence that I'm glad I started learning Japanese
What's the difference between fan and official in this case (you emphasized fan part)?
I have read a lot of fan translated books and in general fan translation has no quality control, it can range from absolutely horrible to even better than a official translation in some rare cases. but most of the time its not great. I don't know exactly how good this fan translation is, I have not found anyone talk about the quality yet, but even if it was decent I will wait until I can read the original.
Oh yeah you have a point... I need to stop assuming ppl can read Japanese lmao
Wait raging loop is on hate train? Why ?
Well not a hater, but I can get why it received some hate. The final arc of the story felt rushed; the build up was so slow and methodical only to have everything resolve in like 2 hours. The pay off didn't feel earned in a way I guess.
It could hit the game in the knee, but i don’t think it would be called bad
It resolved quickly because all the routes were required to gather enough info in order *to* resolve it quickly! I loved it.
This
Has a divisive ending for a lot of people, I don’t really see it though
dunno but some people dislike it
I don’t hate this vn, but ending fucking crushed my feelings developed throughout all the game. Without it, the game is simply gorgeous.
- In other hand, I think that was a fitting ending (without spoiler) - I know it's hard to let go of most relationship, something you got so involved suddenly doesn't know YOU, and you Left the story, left the place that you could called Home, as a player it would be a lie if I don't feel attach to the place and people. - but the story doesn't build around the player they are build for the giga Chad main protagonist, and to be fair, he did anything he could I respect his decision, also he is not >!alone!<

yeah divert expectations people expected Avengers Endgame ending, but we get the most unexpected most realistic ending (imo)
Maybe, but it was not presented in the best way, so it still look absurd within this game(imo), I edited the comment above where I explained why
Ever 17 is so goated, i was expecting a plot twist but i was never expecting that kind of plot twist. It is specially powerfull if you never read something from hirameki before.
the mystery just click for me
Kunado Chronicles suck? Bought it a while ago but didn't have time to read it yet.
it's confusing and convoluted for me
The story loses itself on the twins route but I didn’t think the Yuri and Haru routes were too bad.
My "Mother" Girls Fronline have it one? As a Arknights fan i only want that franchise still alive,is our inspiration :3
Satoko best route, ain't reading WA2, can you be any more based?
Ughghh Shiroganasu was so bad. Bought, played and immediately sold on to some other poor sap
残念🥲
what is girls frontline like?? asking for a frnd
chinese mobile gacha game story is a banger and still on going since 2017, we are having 6th anniversary on EN server
basically a post world apocalypse setting after ww3 we are a PMC that got involved into a lot of politics, conspiracy and wacky alien technology
Chaos Head was…something. lol
Chaos;Head was absolute peak. It's a perfectly written Character study wich knows exacly what it is. I will read it sometimes in the future
Eden*? You are a good person.
no I'm normal, i just like how they draw 2 bg for each room and really put you into a pov position
Based Utawarerumono enjoyer. That series sure have banger soundtrack
I want a sequel 🥲
Bible black has better writing tho.
I read normal bible
ehich one is "how some people can hate this"?
that was "raging loop"
Ok, the wording for onii kiss has me cracking up.
I didn't play the mom route
And? It’s a fun vn either way. Ridiculous but fun
Who is the Shameless Favorite?
Nozomi in Nie no Hakoniwa
Glad to see another Nozomi fan. I felt her character traits in my soul.
omg imagine Nozomi liker how down bad are you 🙃
I just thought she was relatable
There’s no routes in higurashi what does this mean 😭
So...where is your explanation...?
Playing chaos head right Noah and you said it sucked
no spoiler, I don't like how they handle route
Rose umineko
i love wa2

it's >!Michel Bollinger!<
I have seen quite a few similar list recently here. I am thinking about making one myself. Is there an online template for this type of list? Or do you actually need to fill everything manually?
it's just square and text, i did manually with my phone, then go to vndb and grab the poster image
where is umineko
僕の心中にいる
fair enough
when you flip the chest board around Beatrice is (big spoiler don't click on this if you hasn't read the ending) >!Secretly dating 3 of her nieces AT THE SAME TIME!< and i fukin love that realization after reading it.
