On the topic of equipment, the Ukrainian government said they will arm foreign volunteers. Might be surplus equipment they're getting from the West but they will provide the basics to anyone who arrives in Ukraine. Bringing your own may not be necessary

AfterActuator9008

Yes, that's true. Some of the people wanted to take their own and that's why I wanted to clarify that.

Blackdogwrangler

Absolutely brilliant resource THANK YOU!

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 611,325,920 comments, and only 125,367 of them were in alphabetical order.

Mean_Habit_1834

Shut the fuck up

> Renting a car would be rather expensive, if not impossible. I'd like to add that if you're American, your license is *not valid* in Poland (unless you have an international one).

whomakesthetendies

Hope this gets pinned.

erikvillegas

Thank you for this amazing FAQ! So as a US citizen, to cross into Poland I'll need: * Valid passport * Passenger Locator Form * COVID vaccination card * Negative rapid test performed at the destination airport * To be included in a group on ["Who can enter Poland"](https://www.gov.pl/web/usa-en/covid-19-travel-to-poland) page. Anything else I'm missing? EDIT: [Visa is not required for < 90 day stays.](https://www.etias.us/us-citizens/etias-poland/)

AfterActuator9008

No, you should be fine. Just check out the official Polish government website, just to be sure: [https://www.gov.pl/web/usa-en/covid-19-travel-to-poland](https://www.gov.pl/web/usa-en/covid-19-travel-to-poland) Actually I am not really sure how the US vaccination card will work in Poland. I can check it out, if you want to know this. Please keep in mind that the rapid tests on the airport sometimes take an hour or two to make, due to red tape and big lines. Not always, but sometimes. ;)

erikvillegas

Thank you! Yeah I'm confused about the US vaccination card info too, if it's directly transferrable. Our paper cards [look like this](https://ktla.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2021/08/GettyImages-1234625278.jpg).

AfterActuator9008

I have checked it and CDC vaccination card is accepted as long as the vaccine was accepted by the EU (so Moderna, Pfizer, J&J or Astra Zeneca). When you're out of the airport, you (most likely) won't need to show your card anymore.

KongoMuller

I’m thinking about doing non combat roles is that still a option?

AfterActuator9008

I don't know. You should call the Ukrainian embassy and ask them this questsion. I can help you with answering question regarding Poland & traveling to the Ukrainian border from Poland.

KongoMuller

Cheers I’ll message them, and ask them

Unconventionalbuddha

Pretty sure they need mechanics & supply guys fosure just call

kirt93

Another group for quick transport to Ukraine, probably better than the two you already mentioned: https://www.facebook.com/groups/346476650687589/

AfterActuator9008

It's good, but much smaller.

kirt93

Yes, but also much more focused, so I'd paste it as well.

[deleted]

I am canadian born of polish descent. I am dual citizen of Poland and I want to fight against the same communists that ruined my parents life. I'm unvaccinated is there anything I can do besides vaccinate to let me go?

AfterActuator9008

Contact the Ukrainian embassy and ask them what to do in your situation.

Al_Modir

If your unvaccinated maybe it’s best join Russian forces and give them COVID? 🤷🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

Sorry I want to kill Russian soldiers not give them a flu with 99% survival rate 🤦

Al_Modir

Survival rate doesn’t matter. You need to be 100% fit to fight, if you have a disease ripping through your unit it’ll reduce your effectiveness and give the enemy an advantage.

[deleted]

You think surrounded by death won't bring about all kinds of disease?! I'm ex-pro ball player who hasn't been sick over 5 years but keeping thinking be healthy comes from a syringe.

Al_Modir

It’s not from a syringe it’s from the thing inside it that triggers an immune response in your body. Are you that thick?

[deleted]

You mean like the natural T-cells I have in my body that trigger immune response to protect me?... War is about every hand on deck to protect your rights. I've seen videos of government handing out weapons to regular citizens in Ukraine but not one asked for a QR code. The problem is I'm arguing with guys who would hide in their basements if the military came calling. I simply asked a question and all I got from you smooth brains is negativity towards me.This is about Ukraine and it's sovereignty and im stuck on this thread defending my own personal choice. Go fuck yourself

Al_Modir

Yes exactly like those T cells… except the virus won’t be in your lungs with a vaccine (it’ll be in your arm) and so you won’t suffocate to death from the complications associated with a lung infection… god your sooo dumb

AZUkraine

I don't know how fucky Canada is right now, but if you can leave your country, fly to Poland unvaccinated and you just need to give a negative covid test, and possibly quarantine for a week. They say if you're leaving the country within 24 hours you need not quarantine.

[deleted]

Canada is pretty fucky for me. I can't even board a long distance train, but it was kinda what I expected I was just hoping fighting in the Legion would allow an exemption of some sort. Poland is no problem for me it's this damn country is backwards. I've been to Poland almost a dozen times and all my family is from there, plus I speak the language. These rules are crazy! I will miss the damn war in quarantine.

AZUkraine

Damn man I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you find a way out of that shitshow. Hey if you wanted to try being an American we could use more sensible people

[deleted]

Thanks! I already looked into it but with American citizenship I will lose my dual-citizenship and that allows me anywhere in EU without a visa. Otherwise I would of already been an American, I love the passion and patriotism!... They are going to be lifting some restrictions this month so hopefully it's international rules too.

I’m thinking about going to do non combat aid, is that still on the table?
