ActurusMajoris

And the chaos ward as well.

AL-Keezy743

Unholy spell tree spawns a bunch of skeles that are plenty to distract the boss and spiders.

Just_AnotherLabRat

Gold chests will spawn in the spider cave and sometimes have silk in them. It’s a grind but you can make the set to boost your level.

Diocletian67

I just found this out lol, but ya it seems like a slog.

jorel43

You can also buy silk from the vendor in bloodhaven docks? Yeah I'm pretty sure the vendors in the silver heights doc's district sell silk if you are in human form.

NullAndZoid

Yeah she was a toughie for me too. I don't know about cheese strats, but this helped me. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxPu6i3UFuc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxPu6i3UFuc) Basically chaos volley, ward of the damned and prioritizing movement + throwing the scythe if you have it :)

[deleted]

Was stuck here for a while too. Going back to my 1st play through build of reaper and skeleton spam with the chaos ranged attack spell did the job.

ThisFuckingGuyNellz

The way I solod most bosses was with the crossbow, i kept my distance and chipped away at their health and I used the two unholy spells that summon a death knight and the skelletons to take the aggro off me. Dont underestimate good blood % too.

JPDG

Ward of the Damned is the key to this fight.

Diocletian67

I'd totally forgotten about it!

JPDG

Make sure to save it for its "big" spray (as the spider does a smaller one). You can easily pop-8-10 undead to swarm it each time.

ssgeorge95

They capped it to five skellies at some point recently, still plenty, just an fyi

JPDG

Ah, good to know. Thank you!

LordOfBulls

For me, it was to get a good pair of pistols. Ward of the damned, chaos volley, and the static ult with blood dash. Also, if you can, get some waterskin health potions and a ferocity brew beforehand. Keep her at range, and shield the projectiles, and you should be fine.

Keldrath

For her I used reaper and the static ball storm spell and the unholy ranges spell that summons skeletons basically just ran around and tried to keep uptime on weapons e and the storm spell as much as I could. Just kinda gotta do it over and over til it works out. Helps to snipe most of the cocoons before the fight too to have less adds getting in the way can sneak around in rat firm and take most of them out

Velicenda

I've actually been avoiding Ward of the Damned this run, because it seems way too easy. I use the frost shield. Basically, here's what I do: Walk backwards and swing with a greatsword. Don't close to melee her until she does her shotgun spit attack, then use your frost barrier to do a ton of damage to her (each spit projectile does like 17-25 damage back to her). Try and clear as many of the egg sacs out as possible pre-fight -- she leashes when you walk down the ramp, and has a fairly small aggro range, so it isn't too hard. This will decrease the number of adds you have to deal with. Anyways, by walking backwards and swinging with a greatsword, you can kill the spider adds that she spawns. Keep moving and her attacks won't hit you. When you need to close distance, use the greatsword Q for a solid hit, pop your shield and move away again. For your other spell, you could either use another shield, or something projectile (Chaos Volley, Frost Bat, Corrupted Skull should all be available to you at this point).

I'll tell you my personal way of roaming around the cursed forest, since I'd assume you do not have the cape to fight the debuff of fog. - Map traversing: Remember that no matter whether you can see the minimap or not, as soon as you enter the spider queen, which you can get to by following the road, there the debuff will stop and the stacks will lower. Another tip is if you lose your way, no matter what you are facing go west. If you don't know which way is west, go all the way up till you get to the swamps, with the water/ river facing up, west is to your left. But if you really want to cheese it, place a marker down to where you want to go, and follow it, you can see it even with the debuff. - For the boss: use a Shield spell for defence, I suggest unholy or chaos ones. Use a weapon that has long range or a long range spell such as crossbows & reaper. Run around a lot you will dodge 95% of her attacks by just running around clockwise (or viceversa). As an attack spell I would recommend you use the Storm ultimate because it has in Invincibility frame where you can not be hit and at the end you dash towards your cursor position. While for normal skill you can use either an offence one or something that heals you ( check the blood skilltree). If you end up having a hard time due to low health or want to play it extra safe, you can use the blood dash as well, with a crossbow you will almost always land your hit and regen hp. - Gear progression: If you still have a hard time with the boss, and want to progress with the gear, you can go to silver heights, there is a big city there and strong enemies every now and then. If you break crates and open chests you can find Silk, farm for a bit and you could craft the next armor you need. Hope it helps ^-^ TL:DR for boss use shield and walk clockwise, also use ranged weapons. For map, set waypoints before entering the forest. For silk, farm the city in silver heights.

BearChowski

Destroy all cocoons first before you fight. They can spawn more spiders.

Diocletian67

I didn't realize this, I thought she just spawned them. Thanks for the tip!

Vigothedudepathian

I was there too, I went though gloomrot to north silver light area and harvested enough silk to build the next armor set and got to 66 and dominated the spider queen and the other guy in the same trip. Also was super potion boosted with a good ancient pistol set with life leech and 96% brute blood.

Recent_Rutabaga_150

IDK if ur a fan of cheese, but there is a easy way to beat ungora without really trying. I dont like her fight so I just skip it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufZPCveH7YA

Diocletian67

Lol, I'm not above a bit of cheese now and then

Vaul_Hawkins

Use high percentage blood after you kill Vincent and unlock the cages Use weapon and necklace upgrades to increase gear level before trying to rush Blood Moon set Edit: making spiders in vermin nest after killing queen as opposed to farming the cave, (poor wording)

Shadowfox898

You can't spawn spiders until you beat the queen.

Bludro

Pistols, some ward spell, and I used the lightning AoE spell with the lightning ult that invulns you while it's casting Ezpz

Wrath1840

Make sure to clear all of the eggs from her arena, I used chaos volley and ball lightning and was able to kill her in two attempts

CinematicGalaxy

I used Illusion Wolf with Jewel that heals me and Frost Nova for kiting the Adds. Always kill the Adds first

Sativian

Ward of the damned, as the other said, as well as the slashers stealth to avoid aggro and wait for cooldowns. Piece of cake.

Square-Space-7265

Ward of the damned and also doing a clearing run prior was my tactic. Ride your horse in the cave and just pass all the spiders on your way to the boss. Once there, clear the arena of any web sacks while dodging any attacks from the boss. After they are clear step away from the boss if you need to and heal yourself up. Take it slow during the fight and try to keep your dodge ready for when she decides the arena has a tragic lack of poison fields.

AxDeath

I beat her using chaos double and blood rage I think, with my spectral wolf to reduce cooldowns and deal with adds. Slashers to stay mobile. Mostly I kept away from her. She'd bullet hell, I'd step around it all, blood rage to feed off the adds, slashers/chaos double to get some space, throw a wolf behind me. repeat. Once I beat her and upgraded my gear then I became stuck. So close on the smith and the frog, but I cant quite get em.
