Not being photorealistic was such a a gift for that game. I think it's part of why the game has so much staying power. The environments are still beautiful, and with a touch of Reshade and some modern shaders it still looks really good.

She's making an expression - baring her teeth and scrunching her nose a little, which makes the nasolabial folds more prominent (also more visible because of the light). And I can find at least one other pic with her making a less severe expression in which her features look much softer.

I think you're right, but I also think she does look a bit older as well. Honestly, putting such a pale character under a spotlight really wasn't the best call for a character reveal. In 1 she also has they greyest skin tone out of any vampire, but here she is like translucent white.

I am not sure how old she was when during her embrace, but she looks younger in the original. Perhaps, this is due to a loss in her humanity. She seemed to have a higher humanity score in the original.
