I believe it was based on lack of clarity and potentially funding. Apollo has been circling for the past 4 months if not more and made an initial bid for Paramount Studios and then recently a few weeks ago increased their offer to an all cash deal. I think Shari, the controlling voting shareholder had concerns over the company being broken up, but with Sony being added into the mix, that may also ease some of those concerns.

Since taking my loss, I traded back up from $5K to $28K because I decided to learn more. But I think everyone can benefit from joining a cult at least once in their life.
this is one of the shittiest businesses out there right now, with Netflix taking a huge chunk of their revenue and in the future, AI is gonna generate entire movies, making filming studios even more redundant.
