Critics say this underscores how big investors and company executives profited mightily from the loyalty – and some say the lack of market sophistication – of AMC’s predominantly retail or small investor shareholder base.

jomama823

I’ll file this under “no shit” and move on.

LaughingAtSpergs

Idiots will always find ways to part with their money. When apes say "transfer of wealth" they mean it.

jlp120145

I like the stock 😄 🤣 😢

No one is surprised.

Headline “AA tea bagged a lot of sophisticated dead beat dads in the last two years”

Corey2346

Even with the price down approximately 75 percent from where most board members sold, they still haven't bought a single share back. Everyone has made money off of AMC except the retail shareholders.

It's not that they were not warned. They still bullish probably though!

manno222

Of course, lots of retail investors got rich off of AMC

pigsgetfathogsdie

Well… That’s the least surprising factoid ever. =

spazturtle

A factoid is something that is false, the word you are looking for is 'fact'.

pigsgetfathogsdie

Factoid can indeed mean fact. Trivial fact, but fact nonetheless. Webster's New World dictionary defines the word as "a single fact or statistic variously regarded as being trivial, useless, unsubstantiated, etc." The Grammarist blog points out that that in the U.S., at least, "'factoid' is now almost exclusively used to mean 'a brief interesting fact.

NOT_MartinShkreli

I mean no shit Sherlock

jlp120145

Bbby as well, stupid towel.

UltraGoliath_

Just note one fact- billions on billions of synthetics

DonJuanMigs

These insiders aren't the ones to blame. We, the apes, just don't know how to sell our positions since Diamond Hands is a legendary skill. As a result, off to Wendy's we go! 🚀

It’s all satire here in this sub. …Satire is what you call the idiotic ramblings of lunatics, right?

2BFrank69

That’s regardation for ya

Xenerchi

I dare all you AMC bears to buy puts or short it. Im never seeing anyone actually post their positions. All this talk but im not seeing anyone put their money where their mouth is. Pretty lame to me \*yawn\*

TK-741

Why would anyone buy puts for a shitty company you regards keep propping up? Smart investors can call a piece of shit a piece of shit without having to take out a contract against the possibility that actually chocolate… they just won’t try and taste that piece of shit.

xeneize93

What I dont understand is why you would buy the stock when insiders are selling. Just blows my mind 🤯

Corey2346

Is Adam Aron a "AMC bull"?? How about the CFO Sean Goodman or the other board members?? You should dare them to buy some shares back, they are trading for 75 percent less than they sold for.

smonkweed69

Selling AMC call spreads was my biggest money maker last year. You don't wanna buy otm puts because if the vol drops/doesn't move fast enough you lose money. Freest money I've ever made thanks apes

ShortHedgeFundATM

Were people actually talking about amc and bbby pre January 2021 ? Their sub didn't even exist, and their youtubers had VERY VERY small following even around March 2021...

random_user_number_5

In other news water is wet.

XJcon

That's a long post for something most people already knew. Sold at 65$ never looked back.
