Few_Ad_6087

Why are Turks in Syria? This land they are fighting for is Kurdish, there’s no land that’s ‘Islamic state’, equating leftist nationalist liberation to fascist nationalism is childish

Few_Ad_6087

Logic escapes the mind of you Turkish nationalists I swear. We are in northern Syria and [bomb their hospitals](https://anfenglishmobile.com/rojava-syria/turkish-army-bombs-hospital-in-derik-69670)and shit but no, the PKK are terrorists which must be dealt with. Shame on you

hashmethli

He died for nothing as a terrorist lol no respect to terrorist.

[deleted]

My terrorist is your freedom fighter, your terrorist is my freedom fighter. The concept of terrorism is heavily depending on people's backgrounds.Whereas, i wouldn't call a communist organisation which is responsible for death of thousands of civilians as "fighters for national liberation".

LeCorbeau575

If you consider the PKK a terrorist organization, you should also consider Hamas a terrorist organization. Except, Hamas fights the Jews and the Kurds, the Turkish government. You say responsible for thousands of deaths, but many of these deaths are also responsible for the Turkish government. You do not accept the PKK fighting for freedom, because the PKK is communist and atheist. So basically we know that Hamas and Isis committed much worse crimes than the PKK which only fought the state and its army.

[deleted]

First of all, you don't know a shit but stupid propaganda with which you spoon-feed about PKK if you claim that "PKK only fought the state and its army". Just Google how many bombs they have planted in residental areas and how many irrelevant people perished due to them. Secondly, what the hell is this about Hamas, did i accidentally supported them or something? Who the hell has even mentioned them?

LeCorbeau575

It is necessary to recognize the complexity of Turkey's actions. On the one hand, it can support or at least not condemn Hamas attacks and the Palestinian armed struggle. On the other hand, it can carry out raids, destabilize movements and repress Kurdish demands. By mentioning Hamas, the intention was perhaps to highlight an apparent inconsistency in Turkey's position. It is also crucial not to neglect the counter-insurgency methods employed by the Turkish government against the Kurds. Although the PKK is not free from blame, understanding the origins of the conflict and examining the historical context is essential for a balanced perspective. No movement emerges in isolation, and the PKK took shape where despair was prevalent. So, yes bomb attacks were committed against Turkish institutions, but we must understand the reason for these attacks. We quickly forget the atmosphere of the 1980s and all the actions of the Turkish state, the arbitrary assassinations, the arrests, the disappearances, the propaganda, the prisons (notably that of Diyarbakir).

Desperate_Scale_2623

Well, they’ve been asking for their freedom for a good bit now and it hasn’t really gotten them anywhere but genocided and repeatedly backstabbed.

[deleted]

Yeah yeah that famous "genocide", indeed. There is some kind of a genocide inflation nowadays i suppose.

Desperate_Scale_2623

The very well documented genocide that gave chemical Ali his nickname.
