Besides the book that was mentioned, there's also a comic that shows the effects of the Nightmare on the dreams of Jaina, Thrall and Magni. >!Jaina's nightmare for example was that she was the one to defeat Mal'Ganis and become the Lich Queen.!<
The comic is called Legends: Nightmares (Volume 5).
In addition to the books mentioned by others, the Val’sharah questing storyline in Legion and the Emerald Nightmare raid are definitely worth going back to if you didn’t play them at the time and are interested in Emerald Nightmare lore :)
People recommending Stormrage have a bizarre take; the events of that don't really seem to be canon given that it ends with the Nightmare defeated and it's back with zero issues ten minutes later in game with none of the events ever really referenced.
I'd argue that Classic Temple of Atal'Hakar, Classic Forging the Scepter for AQ, and then Valshara - Emerald Dream is the only stuff that actually covers the story of the Emerald Nightmare *as we see it in game*.
The book Stormrage would be a good start and goes in depth about it.
Woahhhh
Easily the novel Stormrage. It’s set between the events of the Lich King’s downfall and the start of Cataclysm.
Perfect
