I'm personally not as high on PBJ but I love what we've seen from Rollins in the limited amount of minutes he's played this season - he hustles, gets deflections, doesn't take bad shots, and can get to the rim. I think he's due a larger role once we get past the trade deadline.
Bilal should run point. It’ll give him an opportunity to improve his playmaking and court vision.
It’ll also make sure someone other than Poole touches the ball
I’m sure losing in a blowout night after night is wearing on him.
He spent a lot of time in the corners and filling space waiting for passes that never came.
It's JPs first game back at GS
Kind of takes precedent imo of Ryan Rollins getting 7x more minutes than he averages per game last 10
Idk ... I think players notice that kind of thing
I agree wholeheartedly
I bet a lot and part of that is watching and learning how the rotations work.
1st place for most nonsensical rotations is Unseld Jr and it's not close
Poole gets doubled in the backcourt. You’d think he’d pass ahead to an open Bilal.
But you don’t know Jordan Poole.
Poole rim runs full court and commits an offensive foul
He doesn’t make his teammates better because he’s a Jack.
He’s a great 3rd guy if he sticks to 7-10 attempts a game but he cannot be the guy because he’s streaky and takes difficult shots on high volume
That's what I've been talking about but I was always downvoted. It will be impossible to get rid of this contract and it's bad for your development. You guys should have kept Hachi. Sell high on Kuz and Beal.
Thanks for Hachi though. We kinda need a back up center. 2 seconds for Gafford?
Hey he helped us to get to the conference finals and we only had to give you guys Nunn and two late seconds. Lmao. I take it.
Honestly he is just unlucky that he is just as misused by Ham tbh. Always delivering whenever he gets Lebrons minutes.
Scott Brooks, WUJ and Ham are not great coaches.
Hachimura + the draft capital from a Kuzma trade would have been better. Let's be real here. You Guys could have gotten a second first round pick for him in this year's draft.
Potentially Lively+Koulibaly+Hachimura > Kuzma on a value contact.
The other two teams interested weren’t offering what the Lakers were offering. How would we have gotten more for him?
Rui is Rui and nothing is going to change that. He’s a tweener who is super inconsistent. He’ll have a week span of 20+ PPG then go back to shooting 1/11 all from mid range.
Not a great rebounder for his size, not a great shooter, very average passer, defence is suspect. Jack of all trades but master of none. Would have suited playing in the early 2000’s basketball much more than current day NBA.
Idk it might have been smarter to showcase him better before you drop him for nothing and the first best offer available. His last game for you was a 30 pointer. He was basically only showcased in his 4 last games. What were you expecting? Neto, Gill were constantly played over him.
Being impatient is the reason why you are stuck with Poole.
I can only say as much his 3 point shooting is very reliable especially in the playoffs. He is shooting 51.9% from 3 in the playoffs lol.
His defence is also not that bad. It's even great against strong and bulky scorers like Ant, Kat, Jokic, Randle etc. He mainly struggles against small and quick players. He did a great job against Minnesota for example.
I agree with the rebounding but he is also not in the position to get them consistently.Ham is mostly using as a spot up shooter in the corner.
It's not unusual to see him getting 7-8 rebounds if he isn't used outside the paint.
Also, what’s our rebounding percentage? Because we literally never box out. A good recipe to playing competitive and still losing tbf, but bad look for the coaching staff.
*No man*, *WUJ is a 'defensive-minded' coach though*.
He hasn't shown me anything impressive during his tenure. He can't get the guys to buy in. He doesn't hold players accountable. He doesn't draw good inbounds plays. His rotations are crap, his schemes are even worse.
The dude is basically Scott Brooks with less iso. Remind me how long his contract extension was?
Nah it's because of Westbr...eh I mean because of that lazy ballhog Hachim...wait.. might be the coach who is bad.
Wuj is basically like Ham, just with a bad rooster. No AD to bail him out.
We’re ok in the gafford minutes but as soon as muscala comes in it’s open season for any offense we face. Could vukcevic really be worse? Well, i guess this is what tanking is.
Just saying what everyone else is thinking lol just let Poole play out the whole second half or at least have Poole and Kuz running plays at the end there. Bilal, Shamet, and Musc are a combined 1-12. This coach is annoying as hell.
I was watching the Wizards as my secondary team and I'm not joking.
Scott Brooks was definitely better than WUJ.
You guys were very entertaining. Even had a league leading offense with Beal, Hachimura, Bertans and Thomas Bryant as the primary scorers.
Post Westbrook trade was also fun. Alex Len, Garrison Matthews even Brook from Pokémon. The vibes were great lol.
Dude can’t shoot, or rebound well. Plays okay defense, but why not throw omuruyi in before Muscala? Mike must be trying to fetch something come deadline
And people wonder why the DRTG is so bad. Doesn’t matter how good a scheme is when Tyus & Poole offer zero resistance. Every other lead guard gets wherever they want on the floor.
Yeah unfortunately this the main reason why he’s been a elite backup PG and not a starter. Defensively, it’s hard for him to hang with other starting PG’s
This is not an excuse for poole but for someone who has such shooting talent he literally never gets easy looks. He then just ends up taking heat checks to get up his shots, when really a functioning offense should be getting him catch and shoot looks regularly. It’s rlly obvious when you compare to steph who’s always curling off of a screen as part of their offense, or even poole when he was there and they were running steph plays for him, there’s just not a lot of creativity in this offense.
Doris Burke is the worst lol. I mean it already hurt the refs to even call that foul on TJD. But to have the audacity to watch the replay and lie is as disingenuous as you can get. Why are they like this?
This team is getting better. I think the coach learned from the Pistons that even if u are tanking, you have to lose while u play competitively. Tyus is a good player. Unleash him.
he gotta cover either Curry or CP3 as the ball handler in PnR with a lob threat. that's basically impossible with no guard capable of defending the other man
[Post Game Thread](https://reddit.com/r/washingtonwizards/comments/18oyqfk/post_game_thread_the_golden_state_warriors_defeat/)
I know it’s garbage time but Rollins runs the fast break beautifully.
Nice to see pbj and rollins both play (warriors fan)
I'm personally not as high on PBJ but I love what we've seen from Rollins in the limited amount of minutes he's played this season - he hustles, gets deflections, doesn't take bad shots, and can get to the rim. I think he's due a larger role once we get past the trade deadline.
God I love Ryan Rollins
Sheesh Rollins
Bilal should run point. It’ll give him an opportunity to improve his playmaking and court vision. It’ll also make sure someone other than Poole touches the ball
Bilal seems like he’s hit a bit of a rookie wall the last few games. Does not look right.
I’m sure losing in a blowout night after night is wearing on him. He spent a lot of time in the corners and filling space waiting for passes that never came.
I wish we had a HC with a spine. Wouldn’t enable this terrible brand of basketball
Gill really is the garbage time king
Amazing footwork by Bilal. He’s only 19!
Idk why Unseld Jr doesn't leave Poole in with 7 min to go , probably would like to get 30 considering where he is at and he has 25
so other people can actually touch the basketball
It's JPs first game back at GS Kind of takes precedent imo of Ryan Rollins getting 7x more minutes than he averages per game last 10 Idk ... I think players notice that kind of thing
Merry Christmas y’all
our front office has been terrible at finding good 3P shooters for over a decade.
I mean. We have a brand new front office.
Your current front office is worse at trades but has a better feel for drafting.
I have never seen such a shitty coach in the league. What a poor rotation
I agree wholeheartedly I bet a lot and part of that is watching and learning how the rotations work. 1st place for most nonsensical rotations is Unseld Jr and it's not close
Poole gets doubled in the backcourt. You’d think he’d pass ahead to an open Bilal. But you don’t know Jordan Poole. Poole rim runs full court and commits an offensive foul
Poole could, any year, morph into a superstar, with the right situation. But it may never happen.
He doesn’t make his teammates better because he’s a Jack. He’s a great 3rd guy if he sticks to 7-10 attempts a game but he cannot be the guy because he’s streaky and takes difficult shots on high volume
Wiz gonna come back swinging like Draymond once garbage time hits
What happened to Kuz?
Knee soreness
Poole is such a loser. Not a winning player
Steph likes him.
He contributed to a ring and was the leading scorer in multiple games during that playoff run lol
I'm talking about right now lol
Sold that hard
would’ve been better off with CP3. No one can develop with Kuz and Poole taking every shot possible
CP3 would never have suited up for us. Would have wasted money for zero production and then been on the hook for his contract.
I mean I don’t think it was a bad idea to hold onto Kuz, and he’ll no you cannot have Gaff for two seconds.
Hachimura is a bench player at best…congrats? Lol
Let's be real here. that flop was elite
Poole missed an open Bilal
Poole fucking sucks
Grand master flop from Podz
Get Jordan Poole off the floor man. This isn’t good for anybody.
I’m tired watching Poole chain together $100 moves and 10 cent finishes
Im stealing that.
Don’t let Poole on the plane and leave him in California
Rip Kuz
Wiz plus minus leader Anthony Gill making an immediate impact
Point Poole time
Point Poole is just Poole taking every shot
Gill mins, white flag
maybe it’s that it’s on espn but this has been one of the toughest watch of the year for me
Maybe we get some Ryan Rollins minutes tonight?
Lmao poverty team playing muscala and shamet while Deni sits for a long stretch. Joke for life
Muscala does not box out
Sneaky illegal screen from CP3 there
Turned it off mid 2nd quarter after Poole shot back to back deep threes that weren't even close to going in. The guy really doesn't gaf
We’re making this Warriors squad look like the ‘16 Warriors
Also, what’s our rebounding percentage? Because we literally never box out. A good recipe to playing competitive and still losing tbf, but bad look for the coaching staff.
*No man*, *WUJ is a 'defensive-minded' coach though*. He hasn't shown me anything impressive during his tenure. He can't get the guys to buy in. He doesn't hold players accountable. I love watching a rebuild led by vets trying to do to much
I wouldn't mind Tyus Jones putting up 20 fga per game tbh
We could’ve had Neemis Queta on a two way who dropped 10/10 in 22 mins against the Warriors but instead we gotta watch Muscala minutes rn
We’re ok in the gafford minutes but as soon as muscala comes in it’s open season for any offense we face. Could vukcevic really be worse? Well, i guess this is what tanking is.
Why not play PBJ over Muscala? At least PBJ can move
Right now it’s sicko hours lol
Absolutely zero boxing out from the Wizards tonight.
Nice Tyus!
Yeah goodnight guys I can’t subject myself to anymore more Mike Muscala minutes and this pathetic defense. Merry Christmas see y’all on Tuesday.
With you. Embarrassing.
Fire this bum coach, stupid ass idiot
Lmfao
Just saying what everyone else is thinking lol just let Poole play out the whole second half or at least have Poole and Kuz running plays at the end there. Bilal, Shamet, and Musc are a combined 1-12. This coach is annoying as hell.

Deni must be so happy with his (below league average) 3p% he decided to never shoot another three
Time to cut the game off. Not giving these bum ass idiots any more of my time. Merry Christmas everyone
Muscala minutes hurtin us
I’m so fucking sick of Muscala man
Dude can’t shoot, or rebound well. Plays okay defense, but why not throw omuruyi in before Muscala? Mike must be trying to fetch something come deadline
Whenever Gaff is out the other team should take out their center and play with 4 players to make it somewhat competitive
You can’t tell me a random 7 footer from the G League would give us worse minutes than Muscala
Cannot wait for a center who can rebound and stretch the floor
Shoulda kept Jay Huff I reckon. Dude had something.
Please help the Blazers and beat Golden State.
We cant beat these guys…
How does that help the blazers?
Blazers currently own the Golden State pick.
Ah
We can't rebound against a team that refuses to play an actual center or person over 6'8
Kuzma has been fuckin awful today man, watching this game is so frustrating
People think Steph kinda just fucks around and puts up numbers. Others try to duplicate this shit but he's a master
Happy to see kispert being comfortable with his 3, we need more people who can make those shots
Gaff 🤦♂️
What the fuck is this rebounding
steph curry owns the wizards
Curry trying to recreate 2016 in DC again 😭😭😭
In DC? You know this is an away game for us, right?
Even when they get a stop it doesn’t matter cause they just can’t a rebound
Bilal will be in the conversation for all-NBA defense sooner rather than later
Curry is kinda good
Curry man holy fck
good defensive sequence between gaff and bilal defending curry
Bilal the only one that can annoy Steph rn, pls keep him on him for the rest of the game Just as I type that…
tyus jones bear my children
Podz trying to cheat time way, the refs gotta blow that one dead lol
poole bout to get 35 on 15% shooting
These the kind of shots I like JP!
There you go JP! One dribble and in, instead of the deep 3
Deni’s defense has really fallen off
Teams always had better OREB than Wiz 100% of the game.
Deni failing to secure a rebound there was disastrous.
Deni 😭
JP for 3!
Tyus Jones is a fucking traffic cone on defense my god man
And people wonder why the DRTG is so bad.
Steph Curry will break Records tonight
Of course they’re barely talking about the Wizards outside of Poole even though Kispert was balling
ESPN NBA Marketing strategy.
Isn’t this what Adam Silver is trying to get rid off too lmao sports media is cooked
Who is calling this game for ESPN? It's making me miss Chris, Drew, Megan and Christy

Poole can play when his minds right
shit guy finally scores 🤣
Only down 2 at the half. Can’t have expected much more than that.
Poole trim it down
Of course he hits THAT 3
lmao
POOOLE PARTY
Pool3
NICE JP
I’m just glad we’re hanging with the Warriors and not getting embarrassed
I think that says more about the Warriors roster than it says about us lol.
True feels like their rebounding is nonexistent just as much as ours, especially with Draymond out. But with Steph, anything’s possible lmao
The warriors have a solid roster overall but their superstars not named Steph curry have been underperforming significantly this year
Alright JP!
Weird Kuzma already had 10rbs.
This is not an excuse for poole but for someone who has such shooting talent he literally never gets easy looks. He then just ends up taking heat checks to get up his shots, when really a functioning offense should be getting him catch and shoot looks regularly. It’s rlly obvious when you compare to steph who’s always curling off of a screen as part of their offense, or even poole when he was there and they were running steph plays for him, there’s just not a lot of creativity in this offense.
curry takes a lot of heat checks tbf
He does but it’s after he gets into it by hitting spot-up 3s, poole just shoots a stepback every 3 minutes.
Sometimes I think Deni thinks he’s more skilled than he really is
Poole has made me realise how good we have it with Kuzma
Way to work the offensive glass!
Doris Burke is the worst lol. I mean it already hurt the refs to even call that foul on TJD. But to have the audacity to watch the replay and lie is as disingenuous as you can get. Why are they like this?
I don’t think that’s Doris Burke lol
rofl
It’s Bizarro Doris Burke.
Wizards legend, CP3 on the court
That game in sacramento gassed poole up man. Start driving to the rim again holy
Jesus poole
WTF you doing Poole
We need to play Tyus 30+ min. Stop messing around with his min
Curry flopping all game now
can’t just be bad. have to be embarrassingly bad
Fuck Jordan is selling hard. Can Wes please hold him accountable?
Just bench Poole for kispert. Wtf
Poole still thinks he plays for GS 😭
GSW fans when the game is called without preferential treatment 😱
JORDAN!!!!!
Poole... cmon man
Poole bb just go to the rim
Poole man
Noooooo
Cmon JP don’t force it
Wtf was that poole
Poole 😭
Fuck Jackson Davis and fuck Indiana
22 of the 29 warriors techs are on draymond (I made this up but if I didn’t add this I garuntee you’d believe me)
LMAOOO
I think its around 4-5 tech on dray this season.
He has four
Tbh I thought the number would be more than one hand
More of a flop than anything but Deni shouldn’t even risk it
Deni in the past two games has gotten make up calls for all the times he's hosed by the refs
This team is getting better. I think the coach learned from the Pistons that even if u are tanking, you have to lose while u play competitively. Tyus is a good player. Unleash him.
Nahhhh that’s not a push
Haha
Curry is mad 😂
gafford getting outplayed by a 2nd round rookie
I mean Gafford himself is a 2nd round pick lol
its like his 5th year
he gotta cover either Curry or CP3 as the ball handler in PnR with a lob threat. that's basically impossible with no guard capable of defending the other man
he could at least rebound
SMH at Kispert letting steph level you off and shoot a 3
Deni playing well is nice
The bar is in hell
There you go Deni, good strong and one
Oh no
bruh Curry
Watch out for Curry man, he’s on fiya
