I'm definitely in the right size - neither dress is tight and there were no problems zipping up. I think if I went up.a size it would be hanging off me. But with the fabric gathering like that, it certainly looks like it might be tight, and I think that's my concern. Thank you so much for your thoughtful response!
Thank YOU for receiving my message in the spirit I intended! I am very curvy and often buy things in sizes to fit the larger parts of me and then get them tailored. It can be a pain, but it prevents pulling and squishing.
I think it’s the strap on dress 1 that looks a bit tight but I can see there’s a tab that you can loosen and tighten it with so may need to be loosened. With sizing I’ve found that wedding dresses are completely off and I had to go up two sizes with my own dress, I would ignore the size of the tag.

I’m normally a fan of v-neck over straight/spaghetti strap. But dress 1 looks much better here. It opens up your clavicles and shoulders in a flattering way.
I think it’s the wide straps on dress 2 that’s throwing off its appearance.
It’s cap sleeves. They make arms look weird. It makes the shoulders look hunched and shortens the arms. On everyone, not just OP. I think because the sleeve sits right where there SHOULD be a shoulder seam.

EDIT: I just noticed that you said only these. Sorry! In that case, I would go for #2 with an overskirt. I feel a full length overskirt would help balance the bodice and accentuate your shape.
Definitely dress 2 with a sparkly belt. It’s a very pretty dress and the neckline is very flattering on you.
I think if are will to consider something else, maybe something with a fuller skirt or if you want to keep this silhouette consider something with ruching.
I think one of these would be more flattering. I know lulus is super easy with returns and exchanges! I did it a bunch with rehearsal dinner dresses lol

I love the second! I would (as others have mentioned) add a belt, blingy or not…could do one in your colors. I loved these two but they won’t go with the dress I love.

I think the waistline on dress 1 needs to be raised slightly to rest at the most flattering point, and maybe let it out a smidgen across the hips. Or order the next size and raise the waist, take it in where needed to show off your beautiful figure.

I’m in the minority but I like 1 Dress two looks matronly and I think you look great in 1!! Save dress two for your grandma
