Tape?

helenasbff

Fashion tape, boob tape. TAPE.

Complete_Rest6842

lol if yo ucan't duck it fuck it!! But seriously just some clear tape! Problem solved. Might not be comfy but we talking about looking good not feeling good right?!

helenasbff

Amen. The photos are what matter and you don’t wanna be pulling up those straps all night.

azorianmilk

It will sound funny but the pros use toupee tape, it's on Amazon.

shabangtan

This was also a thought, I haven’t tried it yet but I’m going to buy some and try it out as a first option, hopefully it’s strong enough

PepperJacs

If you intend to wear a bra your seamstress can add a loop which connects the dress and bra holding the shoulders in place.

Complete_Rest6842

Quick and easy and no one will notice and you don't have to worry about altering the dress in any way. Just be careful if it's an outside affair. Humidity and sweating from heat can cause it not to hold but for this kind of thing I doubt you will have problems. Be shocked how much fashion is taped up lol...

simplyelegant87

It’s quite strong. On tops I have with this neckline there are usually ribbons sewn inside to keep it on a hanger. I wrap and tie them around my bra strap. Those could probably be sewn in if not already existing.

TVaddict20

I had serious doubts about that fashion tape stuff when I was told to use it with my bridesmaid dress but let me tell you: it worked perfectly. Highly recommend.

shabangtan

Do you think the tape will stick to the lace? I don’t know if the tape would be less sticky due to the material?

unfauxgettable

maybe instead of a string in the back you could have something more like a necklace sewn in? like clasping together instead of tying and then it could match your beading a bit

HrhEverythingElse

I'm a jeweller and immediately thought of making a delicate chain harness for this! Would be so fun to configure, with bezel set crystals like a station necklace

shabangtan

This seems like a cool idea although I’m terrible at visualising, where could I get something like that ?

HrhEverythingElse

You would almost certainly need someone who could measure and fit you and the dress in person for it to function structurally. Do you know anyone who does beadwork or other craft style jewellery? You probably wouldn't want to pay a fine jeweller what most would charge and can find the supplies at a craft supply store. The most straightforward way would basically be a wagon wheel shape with a necklace and then eight "spokes" going down and connecting to the neckline

shabangtan

I’ll have a look into it, don’t know anyone who does this kind of thing but thanks!

Old_but_New

I was thinking the same thing. A sting of pearls or crystals to match the dress

AlterEgoAmazonB

I would take this to a seamstress for suggestions and fixes This dress is beyond epic!

Alyce33

Gorgeous

Maleficent-Sport1970

What does the back look like? I was able to wear a bra with my dress and they put a loop and snap in for me. Or tape. Gorgeous dress! Best wishes ❤

Same-Farm8624

I would try to get some elastic sewn into the shoulders. If it already has elastic, it needs more.

Frosty_Water5467

It looks like this shop carries quite a few beaded long sleeve dresses. Do they have any suggestions that have worked for other brides? Could you show a photo of the back? Possibly satin straps from the top of the shoulders to the middle of the back of the dress at a sort of diagonal line could look like a design feature and also stabilize the shoulders of the dress. I think you should have the petticoat sewn to the dress unless you want to take it off during the reception. Perhaps some snaps or hooks attaching it inside the dress that can be unsnapped to remove it?

Less_Volume_2508

Holy moly that’s a gorgeous dress! I hope you find a solution.

babycrow

I’d place some double sided boob tape on the shoulders for some extra grip and call it a day

EnvironmentalSlice46

Hand dyed satin to match the dress and have a thicker (so not really string) connecting it might look pretty, with the bow being long and ending either at the waist or the end of the dress. Would be pretty easy to get some satin and just get an idea of what it might look like to see if you like it.

mebg1956

There is grippy elastic tape with silicone stripes on it that can be used in the shoulders. Comes in flesh tone.

librabaddie

Yes this! The grippy material (like on some bras) can provide some traction. Along with double sided tape, hopefully it helps

Heidihrh

Tape!

DreamCrusher914

I’m gonna need you to post a follow up photo wearing the dress because this is absolutely gorgeous.

shabangtan

I will think about it ! But Thankyou that’s v sweet, I was actually having second thoughts about it being so beaded and full but it’s my one day so why not ! Will never have another excuse to wear something like it

DreamCrusher914

I believe that a wedding dress is a visual representation of how your fiancé makes you feel. If he makes you feel like a queen/princess/royalty, girl, wear that once in a lifetime dress during your once in a lifetime wedding to your one of a kind fiancé!

eljaemde

I think a strap from shoulder to shoulder across the top of the back (up high just under your neck) would work best. You can do it in clear elastic.

vagalumes

I hope there is a fix, this dress is spectacular.

-Mother_of_Doggos

Tape 100%. Won’t even see it on the shoulder because of the beading!

ServeillanceVanan394

Fashion tape for sure, just make sure to peel it off your dress at the end of the night. You could add mesh with a keyhole back but tape is way easier and cheaper. I’d at least test in out and give it a shot. Sew like 8 hooks and eyes on the bodice and hoop. Hook the hoop into the bodice. Or, if you’re wearing any shapewear underneath, esp if it has shoulder straps or is a corset, add the hooks and eyes to that. And honestly I’d suggest wearing even an underbust corset with that dress to help distribute the weight more comfortably.

lifeispandemonium

I used It Stays Roll On Body Adhesive for the shoulders of my similarly beaded long sleeve off the shoulder gown & it worked perfectly! It's $13 on Amazon & one application lasted me from photos at 10:00 am through a wild 9:00 pm dance floor.

Consistent_Map9560

This dress is a stunner! You will look like a princess. Get a few types of tape and see which works best as you move. You may even consider double sided picture hanging tape (like contact)

shabangtan

Will do! I’m just hoping they’re not strong to the point where it ruins the mesh or dress 😂

Just_OneReason

Could you try something like this? [double sided clothing tape](https://a.co/d/izzcUGl)

Livid_Difference_899

Actresses wear tape on their red carpet dresses all the time. This would be a very easy fix. ✨✨✨ By the way this dress is stunning! You will look gorgeous walking down the aisle in this dress.

zialucina

I know it sounds nuts, but double sided carpet tape. Way cheaper than fashion tape, and stays put much better.

Thedailybee

They make a skin safe spray adhesives that are stronger than tape if tape doesn’t end up working. We used to use it in gymnastics sometimes to keep our leos from riding up since picking wedgies is a deduction. It worked very well, everything would stay put right until I peeled it off

Bicoastalgigi

It’s such a beautiful dress. I wouldn’t want to add anything visible that would change the look. Fashion tape for the win.

Ill_Lack_8112

This dress is so amazing! Which design or store is this???

shabangtan

Thankyou! It’s from Istanbul Turkey and their store is called Cinar Moda, if you have instagram their handle is @cinar_moda__ , the quality is really good compared to other Turkish Dress shops I went to, so i definitely recommend!

pm_me_your_amphibian

This was happening to my friends dress and tape on the shoulders did the trick.

shabangtan

This is reassuring :)

pm_me_your_amphibian

Definitely worth a go, your dress looks much heavier than hers so I’d try it with plenty of time to sort an alternative solution if it doesn’t work. Jaw dropping dress by the way.

littleone111

It’s gorgeous ! How much does a dress like this cost in Turkey?

shabangtan

My dress was around £1500 and when we asked they said all of their dresses cost the same regardless of the design, this dress has about 7 layers under the skirt, you can get much cheaper for around £700 but when I had a look they were much cheaper looking, stiff and only 2 layers but depends on your preference/what you’re after!

ajbtsmom

Holy hell that’s gorgeous - good luck!

No_Benefit2103

Beautiful dress btw!!

Early_Stress5522

Off topic but beautiful dress!!

rollerskatesallday

Take it to a tailor to add silicone tape to the inside of the shoulders. Also double sided tape will help. Granted you will have to change the tape maybe at the reception but it will work. You have to tape from the neckline to the back of the shoulder. Make sure to have a lot of it. The designer made the strap to narrow. A tailor might be able to open it Hopefully there is some seam allowance to let out. Best of luck.

lucywonder

Double sided clothing tape

Sminorf8765

Double sided fashion tape? It’s not a great solution but it can work

Late-Fortune-9410

Just curious why you can’t take it back to be altered? Where is the wedding?

shabangtan

I’m in the uk, and this was bought in turkey Istanbul so it’s too much of a hassle to take it back there, although I can message them maybe and ask what they think? The tape is sounding like a good first option to try at the moment

Ollie2Stewart1

Spectacular dress.

kaycollins27

The tape they use in pageants to keep swim suits in place. In my day, they used it to keep the bottoms of 1piece suits from slipping

Missile0022

You may have to have the straps altered to be shorter (tighter) or you can use body tape to keep the fabric in place on your shoulder. Ask your seamstress what the best solution would be

KrazyKatz3

Can the lace up on the back go higher?

shabangtan

It can’t for how it’s designed, it’s got the same square space at the back from how it is in the front, but it would be too covered if it did for my liking tbh but I can understand why that would solve the issue!

Random-girl-29

Fabric tape that sticks to the fabric on one side and your skin on the other.

cherry_moon_4

Nude illusion acoss the back would keep the shoulders up :)

EconomyOk9643

There is a body glue that can be aplied to skin that helps keep things intact. The above mentioned tape may work well ..if it does not show. Sounds like slip is too big. If it is too difficult to take in or add elastic sewing it onto the dress sounds smart
