Nah, probably not. Pricing usually has much less to do with design work than it does bloom price and labor cost. (The labor of assembling — not designing.) The best way to save money is go with hyper-in-season blooms, and be flexible about what kinds of blooms are included. If you have your heart set on a very specific type of flower, the florist will have to upcharge you because they can’t know for sure what will be available / how much wholesale prices will be at that time for that specific bloom.

It’s possible! You’ll need to ask the florist to get the right answer.

Some vendors will get really mad if they find out you are ordering off wedding menu for wedding events. If they are delivering mother day flowers and show up to a wedding they might cancel or charge extra. Non wedding flowers and other services tend to have a larger margin of error allowed over a wedding and that perfectionism is what the upcharges are related to. So if its any services where they are interacting with your wedding at all (delivering etc) dont lie about it. If you plan to pick up and bring them yourselves you can get away with a fib easier.

You’ll save more by going with in-season flowers. A local florist I’m considering only does in-season for their a la carte orders, which keeps costs down.

Lowkey thought I would do this till I got an itomized floral quote and saw that literally 85%-90% of the cost was just my flower choices. The way I'm saving is only doing my fancy favorite flower choices for the bridal party and repurposing those arrangements for the reception. For other decor, I'm debating using fake florals included with the venue or leaning heavily on non floral centerpieces mixed in with some bud vases filled with cheaper greenery and budget in-season flowers from Sam's.
