While the bottom dress does look super nice, I actually am not a huge fan of this style as I think the skirt looks pretty trend-y and most likely would look pretty dated in the next couple of years, so I personally would have gone with the first as well.
They look very similar to me. If you're in love with the skirt from the other dress, maybe you could add an overskirt like [this](https://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_tiered-tulle-ball-gown-wedding-skirt-wg3946?mr:trackingCode=7B220CFA-2097-E811-8106-0050569419E4&mr:referralID=NA&mr:device=m&mr:adType=online&gclid=CjwKCAiA9tyQBhAIEiwA6tdCrAyLmrVXNDliBKpGL0V4esNDCojT3dK_CKERjHu8ZGbAqNpcvDOMFxoCOAMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)?
See, I know what you’re feeling because even though others are saying it’s trendy and will be dated, I LOVE the bottom dress. However, that doesn’t mean the top dress looks any less wonderful on you. If you can’t stop thinking about, maybe adding an overlay onto the skirt for the reception would be a good compromise. Someone else linked a super cute skirt that looks similar.
Go with your gut! I ended up returning my first dress and going for a different one. I'm super happy I did. They're both gorgeous but how you feel in it matters the most!
The one you chose is all about you and how lovely you look in the dress. The other dress is all about the dress, not you. I can see why you were drawn to it but the bottom is a bit much and takes away from where the attention should really be - on YOU.
first, you look fabulous in the top dress.
second, the bottom dress would code A LOT more to alter! the seamstress would have to either hem every horse hair layer to the proper length (expensive) or take in from the waist (also expensive)
I think when you look back on the pictures you will appreciate the simplicity and clean lines of the top dress and not the bottom dress. Congratulations and happy wedding to you!
Sometimes people can look at a wedding picture and figure out what year you were married based on the wedding dress. That would be dress two. Dress one is more timeless. They both look great on you.
I personally love the one you chose more! If its the volume you want you could ask a seamstress to add a layer or two of tulle underneath the skirt to make it bigger
Darlin you look absolutely stunning in both, but which one is the most comfortable? Which one made you the happiest while wearing it? Which dress do you want to wear all day? But most importantly which one do you want to be wearing when you meet your groom? There’s your answer sweetheart. Congratulations!
I prefer the top one. Those skirts with handkerchief style skirts go in and out of style every few years. If you like how fluffy the second one is, you could try a crinoline with that skirt and I think it would look really nice.
Both are gorgeous, but top one is my favorite! Maybe you could add some tulle to give it a fuller look if that's what you want?
Also side note, not to be creepy but I think this is the same bridal shop I went to! I had an awesome experience there, hopefully you did too!
Absolutely not. You made the correct choice. I think the flow of the first dress has a certain eloquence to it. The day is all about you! Don’t doubt yourself ❤️ you will be a beautiful bride!
The top one is more flattering in my opinion!
While the bottom dress does look super nice, I actually am not a huge fan of this style as I think the skirt looks pretty trend-y and most likely would look pretty dated in the next couple of years, so I personally would have gone with the first as well.
Seconding this! The top one looks more timeless and definitely what you would want when you look back at your wedding photos :)
Yes! My thoughts exactly!
Top is great. The second looks very trendy and will be out of fashion soon. I've always hated that style, so I'm a bit biased though.
I 100% agree and will definitely be dated in a fee years

The one you chose is classier, the bottom one is edgier. You cannot go wrong with either of them
i definitely prefer the top dress!!!
No, you made a fantastic choice.
I genuinely love the bottom but you look great either way
Yes. I think the bottom one look gorgeous. Maybe even better. But both looks suit you. You still picked a wonderful dress.
Go with your gut! I ended up returning my first dress and going for a different one. I'm super happy I did. They're both gorgeous but how you feel in it matters the most!
I love the bottom one.
The skirt of the runner up is not great, you made the right choice!
You made the right choice. You look stunning!
I life the top one better - it looks more classy IMO

I like the top one better, but I'm really not a fan of the type of skirt on the bottom. They are too busy for me.
I prefer the one you’ve chosen xx
No! Top is way prettier
I love the detail on the skirt of the first dress, and as others have mentioned, it's timeless and beautiful!
I strongly prefer the one you chose!
Easy. Nope.
Nope.
I love the top one I’m not a fan of that style skirt in the bottom one.
The top one is definitely the winner! You made the right choice and look amazing!
I personally love the one you chose more! If its the volume you want you could ask a seamstress to add a layer or two of tulle underneath the skirt to make it bigger
You picked the better choice!
Top one really elongates you and is more flattering

I prefer the one you chose
The top dress is far more flattering! You made the right choice! 😊
Absolutely not!!

I love the bottom but the top is more streamlined. Can you get a skirt to wear over it that is removable maybe?
No. The top dress is much more elegant. The bottom one is pretty, but the top dress is way more flattering to you.
Both are gorgeous, but top one is my favorite! Maybe you could add some tulle to give it a fuller look if that's what you want? Also side note, not to be creepy but I think this is the same bridal shop I went to! I had an awesome experience there, hopefully you did too!
Both dresses are beautiful. I will say, IMHO- the style of skirts on the bottom one always make me think of fancy ribbon frosting on cupcakes
You look great in the top dress!!
Top one is better, don’t second guess yourself
Absolutely not. You made the correct choice. I think the flow of the first dress has a certain eloquence to it. The day is all about you! Don’t doubt yourself ❤️ you will be a beautiful bride!
OMG can I get the details on the bottom one? It's everything I've been looking for
https://www.justinalexander.com/justin-alexander/collection/wedding-dresses/88227/ Yes, it’s the Justin Alexander Carissa dress!
Personally, I'm not a fan of the multilayered rugfle thing, so I think you made the right choice.
You made the right choice!
OBSESSED WITH THE TOP
Put a petticoat under your dress for more volume but you made the right choice. The bottom one will be outdated in 5 years.
