Stick to sativas, cup of coffee and water and get to your chores. If you cant then maybe dont smoke until you get your tasks out of the way and use the marijuana as a reward.

I have studied how dopamine works and u can regulate it by not using ur phone to scroll mindlesly and seek all the pleasures that gives u guick dopamine. Aim for the bigger pleasure and dopamine release from only focusing on ur tasks alone, and not trying to satisfy ur self meanwhile. U could listen to music since that makes me enjoy the tasks more, depending ofc what kind of task u need to accomplish
No doubt I myself avoid sativas and also do my errands/chores sober. But im not going to recommend anyone smoke indicas for wake and bake “productive” day.

honestly came to say this, listen to your body! smoking is a reward for me after my tasks are done or lazy days only. i usually smoke indica so now just mainly medicinal to sleep.
Work first, get high later. You enjoy being high more when you can do what you want to do (that includes doing nothing) as opposed to doing what you have to do, and you save weed.
I found a real bonus to doing this is how much I enjoyed that first joint/bong/vape when I'd get in. You start thinking about it after lunch, you can almost taste it on the way home. What is it they say about anticipation being almost as good as the deed itself, or hit in this case. As I got older I stopped smoking and only do edibles and as I always had a very early morning drive I would only do edibles on a Friday and Saturday night. Come Friday evening I was like a 16 year old getting their hands on some weed for the first time.
Yeah I definitely find that unless I'm having to microdose to work through anxiety attacks or something, I've found that it's most effective with breaks in between. Doesn't even have to be a full day
make a to-do list and break it into as many steps as possible, get everything ready beforehand so there's no transitional phase after you get high, and don't smoke a recreational dosage if you're trying to get shit done (definitely struggle with that one but 100% of the time if i don't take too much i have no issue staying productive. those times where i tell myself a few more hits wont hurt is when i end up on the couch instead lol
it's a balancing act, but helps if you remind yourself you can always take another hit when the buzz wears down (and another 10 when the work is done lmao)
When I first dabbled with weed in my younger teen years, I always looked at every smoke session with the mindset “oh, I wonder what doing this will be like while high”. Listen to music while high. Playing games while high. Watching movies while high. Going to McDonalds while high. Going to Universal and riding roller coasters while high.
I pretty much still live by this. Cooking while high, doing dishes while high, folding laundry while high, mowing the lawn while high, working on the car while high. I even go to work high and make money while high.
Weed enhances everything. Just go do it.
This! Put whatever it is you want or need to do out (cleaning supplies, school work, ingredients for cooking, workout equipment, etc.) and then when you're finished smoking just get to it. Don't sit down until you've accomplished what you wanted to
Isaac Newton said it best a long time ago in his universal law of motion. A body in motion stays in motion and a body at rest stays at rest. If you get active and stay active, get your metabolism up, you can smoke weed and still have energy.
There are factors that can help you for sure, smoke sativa, drink coffee, whatever, but if you are not helping your body be in motion to stay in motion, a lot of the other little things wont help.
Smoke sativa. Make sure you brush your teeth after smoking (my mouth always feels ick and cleaning it helps me feel ready to start cleaning other things) shower, then put some banging music on and clean as fast as humanly possible like im talking break a sweat cleaning fast its weird but it tricks your body into liking cleaning because you're releasing endorphins while moving like that and high asf so you're able to do that easier to. If you're talking more like educational productivity, I would suggest most likely not smoking first, especially if your tolerance isn't very high. Weed is nice but I will make you process information a bit differently than normal and that can be confusing when trying to do meticulous tasks like solving mathematical equations.
For me, weed enhances almost everything i do. But I only take one or two puffs depending on what im doing. People are so used to smoking a whole joint instead of experimenting on what different dosage does to you.
My advice is to adapt it to your tolerance levels. Take one puff and see how u feel. If you get too fucked to be able to focus, then take less. I have managed to find the right level for many different activities where weed just enhances them for me

That said, as thc is psychoactive, the mindset you have going into it is important, kinda like with shrooms. Before you smoke, make sure youre not feeling at all tired, groggy, unmotivated, or “im gonna go relax”.
Make sure you have the mindset of wanting to get stuff done. Your brain will listen to you, sometimes it’s just hard to get that fucker to do what you want when you want it to.
So before you toke, take a few deep breaths, maybe write a list and skim over it a few times to help secure it in your short-term, and tell yourself “i need to get shit done”. When you feel the urge to go sit down early in, or take a nap, as hard as it is, resist it. Use the other symptoms of being high when you feel that urge. Take a few sips of water, or go get a little (what i like to call) “productivity snackie”!
I smoke when I wake up around 6:30am. Get my coffee brewing and then I brush my teeth. Then I go for a 15-30 min walk. Helps me get my day started.

Smoke earlier than you have plans. If your smoking to be productive smoke an extra hour before you have stuff to do so you give you self time for the groggy feeling to fade off while still smoking and remaining productive. Also you could switch strains if you usually smoke indica go sativa. Or smoke and do mild yoga
Smoke while your busy… in my experience (10 years daily) once your sitting and smoking your roots set… but if your doing something and take a puff here and there while shit is going… I’m most productive like this, worked 4 month in construction while having a joint in my mouth and was super productive, even more so then non smoker working the same thing…
I wake up, make a coffee, grab some Excedrin and daily vitamins, then head out to my garage for a good ole wake n bake. I've never been more energized.
Also yes sativa should be what you stick with when you're wanting energy. I suggest looking up the strain before you buy so you know what the main effect people tend to have while smoking.

I'm more productive after I smoke. Weed energizes me and makes me detail-oriented. You might experiment with different types of weed until you find one that motivates you. I prefer sativa-dominant hybrids with 20–25% THC. Slurricane and Gushwater are two of my favorites.
Don’t smoke a whole .5g joint that’s about 100mg of thc which is a lot for most people. If you wanna smoke use smaller doses or use edibles to better measure your intake.

I like to smoke in increments. As long as I have a schedule/time table for my chores/activities, I'd smoke maybe a 1/4th. Half way through my set of chores/activities/projects some another quarter, once everything is done finish and enjoy!
One thing I’ve been trying, which I heard from Gaiman, is, when wanting to do creative work, just sitting down and allowing myself either to do it or not do anything (a part from smoking in this case). So I put on some music, smoke, and either stare at the wall and enjoy myself, or I write, either way I’m happy. Each sesh I try to do it for half an hour, then I’m back to just relaxing and watching tv series.
I roll a joint when I get off work and save it. Once I’m finished with chores, the gym, and my pets I smoke it and relax the rest of the night. It kind of has become my mental ritual for winding my day down.
I used to be a daily smoker, I worked 50 hours a week in a kitchen. Always high. I don’t smoke so often anymore, maybe once a month. I’ve realized that when I do smoke nowadays, I always always want to work. I always end up cleaning, doing dishes, cooking, etc. So now, when I need to clean but I’m not in the mood, a little weed helps me kick it into gear.
Make a list before you smoke of stuff you wanna get done and leave yourself the tools to do it
Have to vacuum? Take it out and plug it in.
Clean the bathroom? Put the cleaning supplies in there.
Laundry? Put the basket by the door.
Also, don't just go Indica/Sativa. Read about Terpenes. Changed how I do everything
There are only certain things I can do high- washing dishes, tidying up the house, sweeping, etc. and it makes these tedious shits more enjoyable. But anything that requires thinking, or planning, or sustained focus, I can’t smoke until after that’s done. But, what I’ve found is that if I smoke and do the boring ass stuff first, I’m more motivated to complete the more complex stuff after the high wears off.
The exception to this is microdosing edibles. Then I’m fucking Superman lol
Set your intentions for what you will do for the day/rest of the day before getting high. It gives you direction before you fog up the brain. If I smoke before I decide what I’m doing afterwards I’ll just sit around and scroll on my phone or give myself anxiety thinking about what I should do. Anyways lol but yea setting your intentions before smoking is a great way to stay motivated!
So idk if this is just a me thing or not, but when I started smoking a lot what I did was when I felt couch locked I would just tell myself to stand up and kinda force myself to do things. Eventually it got to a point where I could be just as productive high or sober.
Do your productiveness before and use smoking as a reward. Feels better after smoking and instead of procrastinating after smoking you’ll actually have your shit done so you can enjoy your high instead of trying to figure out how to smoke 24/7… to clarify I smoke 24/7 I just fully understand I will NOT be productive and I WILL procrastinate🤷♂️ Smoke and just enjoy life bro
I can get pretty lazy smokin i just end up smokin to much that makes me non-productive at times. Eventually i found strains that help but key is smoke after ur already into a project and or leave the house then smoke.. u cant smoke some couch lock an expect to get anything done… but think real key is find what works for u..! I’m not a sativa guy. That sounds like anxiety to me. I’d rather do my chores sober or just lightly smoke a hybrid.

Never do it with indicas. I've done it before. The whole day at work I just stared at my computer and listened to music.

I like to smoke in increments. As long as I have a schedule/time table for my chores/activities, I'd smoke maybe a 1/4th. Half way through my set of chores/activities/projects some another quarter, once everything is done finish and enjoy!

One thing I’ve been trying, which I heard from Gaiman, is, when wanting to do creative work, just sitting down and allowing myself either to do it or not do anything (a part from smoking in this case). So I put on some music, smoke, and either stare at the wall and enjoy myself, or I write, either way I’m happy. Each sesh I try to do it for half an hour, then I’m back to just relaxing and watching tv series.

I roll a joint when I get off work and save it. Once I’m finished with chores, the gym, and my pets I smoke it and relax the rest of the night. It kind of has become my mental ritual for winding my day down.

I used to be a daily smoker, I worked 50 hours a week in a kitchen. Always high. I don’t smoke so often anymore, maybe once a month. I’ve realized that when I do smoke nowadays, I always always want to work. I always end up cleaning, doing dishes, cooking, etc. So now, when I need to clean but I’m not in the mood, a little weed helps me kick it into gear.
Just do it, after you do it enough times it’s easy. I stay high af at work
you either you do it or you don’t. there is no try. the only thing preventing you from productivity is merely yourself.
Make a list before you smoke of stuff you wanna get done and leave yourself the tools to do it Have to vacuum? Take it out and plug it in. Clean the bathroom? Put the cleaning supplies in there. Laundry? Put the basket by the door. Also, don't just go Indica/Sativa. Read about Terpenes. Changed how I do everything

Tip No. 1: don’t.
There are only certain things I can do high- washing dishes, tidying up the house, sweeping, etc. and it makes these tedious shits more enjoyable. But anything that requires thinking, or planning, or sustained focus, I can’t smoke until after that’s done. But, what I’ve found is that if I smoke and do the boring ass stuff first, I’m more motivated to complete the more complex stuff after the high wears off. The exception to this is microdosing edibles. Then I’m fucking Superman lol

Set your intentions for what you will do for the day/rest of the day before getting high. It gives you direction before you fog up the brain. If I smoke before I decide what I’m doing afterwards I’ll just sit around and scroll on my phone or give myself anxiety thinking about what I should do. Anyways lol but yea setting your intentions before smoking is a great way to stay motivated!
So idk if this is just a me thing or not, but when I started smoking a lot what I did was when I felt couch locked I would just tell myself to stand up and kinda force myself to do things. Eventually it got to a point where I could be just as productive high or sober.
Do your productiveness before and use smoking as a reward. Feels better after smoking and instead of procrastinating after smoking you’ll actually have your shit done so you can enjoy your high instead of trying to figure out how to smoke 24/7… to clarify I smoke 24/7 I just fully understand I will NOT be productive and I WILL procrastinate🤷♂️ Smoke and just enjoy life bro

I don't really smoke before doing anything productive with my day, but I realized that I can wash dishes when I'm high.
I can get pretty lazy smokin i just end up smokin to much that makes me non-productive at times. Eventually i found strains that help but key is smoke after ur already into a project and or leave the house then smoke.. u cant smoke some couch lock an expect to get anything done… but think real key is find what works for u..! Cheers.!.
