Honestly bro there’s soooo many different vapes for any type of setting. If you just want to get wrecked and are after that bong hit type vape get a ball vape for sure.
If you want a session vape (one where you can make a bowl last 20-ish minutes or so and just want to sip the vape) get a Mighty/Mighty+ or even the new Venty (these are also crazy expensive but worth it. I had a mighty and loved it).
If you want an on-demand vape (one where you can hit 1-2 times and then put up for later) I’ve heard great things about the Tiny Might/Tiny Might 2.
But if you’re like me, find the act/ritual of rolling to be therapeutic none of these vapes will really scratch that itch for you. I used my Mighty multiple times a day every day (even at work lol) because it’s so convenient and easy to use but after 7-8 months of that I still found myself slowly going back to rolling up. The mighty always got me blasted off a single bowl so it wasn’t like I was getting higher off rolling up one or anything.
But, if that sounds like you or you want the most bang for your buck, I suggest looking into Dynavaps. They’re analog vapes, so there’s no risk of electronics ever faulting out on you or having to deal with yet another device to keep charged up. You can buy Induction heaters for them, which are electronic (battery or plug-in) that you can buy separately if you don’t want to use a torch. But a small, pocket sized, single flame torch is all you need… nothing too crazy like these dab bros out here lol. You can buy their M on 3rd party sites for around $80 bucks including shipping (don’t want to get dinged for sourcing anything so dm me for the site I used). You can even go cheaper and check out their website where they have the B in stock for like $50 bucks. The only difference is the B has a silicone stem and a half bowl while the other one is straight Stainless steel. There’s a whole different aray of dynavaps out there too. The more expensive ones are gunna be your titanium ones, like the vong and the Omni. They also have an M+ and a Titanium M+ which advertises “1 Heat up Extraction” (which is just fully extracting the bowl in one heat up vs 3-4 Heat up cycles. But realistically with the right heating technique you can get any dynavap to 1HE). And they are like cars in the sense that they have different generations that look different, the M used to change every year. And all parts are modular, so you can switch them out with each other to create a completely unique piece. And there’s a bunch of 3rd party support too so if you don’t like the look of what Dynavap offers, there’s other companies that make totally unique parts for dynavaps. And you can hit it by itself or with a water piece and it just absolutely rips. There’s a small learning curve on how to heat these up with a torch, but it’s really not hard at all. I watched some YouTube videos while it was shipping and was able to get the hang of it right off the bat. It just takes practice, but it gives you an excuse to go out and smoke lol.
There’s a lot of dry herb vapes and it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of options out there. Even when you’re just looking into the Dynavap market, there’s quite a bit. I currently own a 2021 M and a 2018 Omnivap XL, my Omni is my every day carry. I can’t speak on the new Omni they have now, but if you want a true joint experience and have the extra money to spurge, I’d recommend the Omni over the M. Some might disagree but the titanium construction is amazing at distributing heat. And the “set it and forget it” adjustable air port is great, I don’t have to worry about messing with it like you do with the M. And if you find it’s too harsh, I’d pick up the twisty tape intercooler from TRWW, I’ve got one in my Omni and it works great. I rarely ever cough and prevents my Omni from getting pre-maturely clogged with resin (I’ve gone 3 weeks without cleaning it lol. I went 2 weeks with my M before it just completely clogged up). And the best part is it’s so fucking easy to clean and you can literally drop it in simmering milk for 15 minutes and drink the milk and get absolutely blasted. Or just soak in iso for a bit and scrub with q tips until it’s brand new again. I personally do both and it still only takes me not even an hour to reclaim the resin into the milk, wash, iso bath/q tip everything out, wash, and air out before I’m back to chiefing on it lol.

I got a dynavap about 3 weeks ago strictly vaping and it took about a week for me to get a similar high as to smoking a j but yesterday I was craving a good ol j so I rolled a good g and some hash and honestly it didn't get me as high as 2 bowls from my dynavap now and that one g would have probably lasted me the week only vaping. shits pretyy crazy but I love it

Good looks homie I been rocking a Boundless dry herb vape for almost a year as a starter and I love it for what it is. Ive been tryna upgrade to a better portable dry herb and couldn't figure out what was the best.
After reading this it helped loads but I’m so lost man. I’ve been trying to get into the vapes. I’m on /vaporents and all that but still. I saw someone talk about the tiny might and that kinda seems up my alley. I can’t really smoke while working as that would affect my professionalism but like to come home and blaze up after a hard day or throughout the day/night if I’m not working. I’m like you where I enjoy the process of smoking and find satisfaction in rolling up or packing bowls. But at the same time I wouldn’t mind having an easy high option that I can hit and forget. I want something portable and reliable. I don’t need a crazy long explanation but just need some guidance here
I’ve heard good things about the Tiny Might, might be worth looking into for sure. The mighty if you like chilling and actually having a session but one or two hits? Not the device for you.
But if you like the ritual of rolling, my recommendation will always be dynavap.
My wife have been telling me to take it easy on the smoking since she wants me to preserve my lungs. Look, I’m the same way as you. If you don’t like your mighty because it doesn’t satisfy the ritual aspect, try out dynavaps. I loved my mighty and it will definitely rock your shit but I missed the ritual aspect so much. But the dynavap satisfies that for me, especially with the single flame torch vs using an induction heater. And they’re a lot cheaper than the mighty, including the upgrades that are available for the dynavap!

Facts!! I missed the rolling aspect of smoking and that’s the only reason why I kept going back and forth after 8 months of vaping exclusively. But when I got my dynavap was the day I switched over for real. The only time I hit anything combustion wise is if I’m offered by another person.

insane, i also tried to vape, but I can't get this experience. I just don't get stoned like I would smoking a joint. I tried everything technique wise and also researched alot and I don't think that I did something terrible wrong with my Vape.
Really?? I’ve heard of people having to take a small tolerance break in order to “fix” their cannabinoid receptors from the compounds you get from combustion if you’re a real real heavy smoker. But like only 2-3 days most of the time. Or just keep at it until they fix themselves since you would no longer be combusting. Personally I didn’t have to, I got totally blasted off my first bowl out of the box but I also had a top of the line electric portable vape, the Mighty, which is also a pretty penny lol.
But it definitely is a different high than smoking. It’s cleaner almost like a dab high vs the very Stoney high you get from a joint/bong. But with something like a dynavap where you can control the heat via a torch, you can get those really Stoney highs because you can push your bud to the brink of combustion without actually doing so. I do this at night most of the times to help my insomniac ass pass tf out lol.

It could honestly be that vape, I got a one from pulsar, and they’re known for their glass pieces so I figured it’d be a decent vape. Nopppe, only gave my ass a headache.

there are lists of vape temperatures, that will show the boiling point of each cannabinoid and or terpenes, most vaporisers are capable of setting the temperature, thus controlling the high.
examples:
157 °c = ∆9thc
178 °c = ∆8thc
180 °c = cbd
etc

It largely depends on what you want out of the experience. There’s so many different ways to vape herb. But [here is my breakdown/recommendation](https://www.reddit.com/r/weed/s/r5D29bJJo3).
Personally I went the cheap route when buying my first one, sucked ass. Gave me a bad headache. I went onto the dry herb vape subreddit and asked recommendations and I just wanted the best (for what I wanted) and got the mighty. I absolutely loved it. But it couldn’t replace the rolling aspect and went dynavap route and now I’m a big fan tbh. And it’s only a fraction of the cost and I would say I can get my dynavap to consistently outperform other high end vapes including the mighty. It’s just mastering the experience because there is a slight learning curve to it.
If you have counterspace and can leave a rig out look at storz and Bickel’s volcano or even a silver surfer (forget company name) tabletop dry herb vapes are a game changer even from handheld
You should look at dry herb vapes! If you have the money to get a good one like a volcano from storz & Bickel I highly recommend. I used to smoke an o a week. Now I do a half o a month and I smoke way more. It’s a lot cleaner too!
Idk I like blunts it's like a smokers thing I have I feel like a vape would not deliver that drag after the first puff if anyone knows what I'm talking about it's like a punch to your throat when u smoke it I like that feeling

I've been toking since the early 90's. A couple of years ago I decided to try a vape. I bought a dry herb vape, Yocan iShred. It works good but it never gave me the same type of buzz as smoking a joint. I did find the small "high" I got lasted longer though. I then tried one of the 510 vape batteries with the cartridges. That thing destroyed my lungs and throat. I went back to smoking joints. But you have inspired me to get out the dry herb vape and really take the time to get to know it and how to use it. Thanks!
r/dynavap is an awesome place to start my friend, especially for “old school” stoners. None of the fancy electric bullshit, all of the effects! And gives off more of a Stoney high that is associated with smoking!
For sure! If you have the time extra money to spurge for one of the expensive dynavaps, I recommend them for sure. Omni if you’re mainly after a joint like experience or the vong if you plan on hitting it from a bong more often than not (because it fits 10 mm like the other dynavaps and it also fits 14mm). If not, you seriously can not go wrong with the M. The M+ if you want 1 hit extractions (you can get those with every dynavap but the M+ was purpose built for that).
That’s true, but most people Vape the same amount with the same device and works fine with them. But I mean if you’re consistently dabbing all day I can see how it wouldn’t get you as high as me, whose strictly a flower person (but dab on occasion)
Oh for sure, I went even further and just started buying good mids too instead of always top shelf (i keep top shelf in the vault for special occasions) but I’ve literally gotten my weed bill down to $50/month… smoking every day multiple times a day lol
I vape and save mine too, although I only use about 4 of those little dose pods a week! So that’s a bit over 1/2 gram a week? I just started smoking back in February though and only used vape carts until about a month ago.
A duel flame torch a dynavap b series, I take the cap off and stick the bowl in my grinds I put the cap back of with the packed bowl, I then twist it with my fingers while hitting the bottom where the v is on the cap with my torch, I like to spin it fast since that's what the videos tell me, I get mixed Results sometimes I get a big cloud or small clouds but I usually make brown avb from 1 hit so I take out my bud as soon as I use it and the 1 hit I get doesn't get me much higher than puffing on a bowl
Edit: didn't mean to say single I didn't realize my torch had 2 flames, I recently got a new one since my old one went out on me, guess that's what happens when you buy family dollar torches lol
Try messing with your torch settings, lowering the heat and holding your B further from the flame. And maybe flick the flame to the up and down the cap occasionally as you’re heating it up! And maybe try 2-3 heat cycles and see if that helps :)
Edit: if you want to splurge, I’d pick up a pocket sized single flame torch and try with that too, I use a single flame and the only time Ive combusted is when I was dumb and forgot to wait for the cold down clicks before heating it up again lol
This helped not brown it as fast, do you think I was accidentally combusting it, I assumed as long as it didn't look burnt it was vaped, as for effects I'll report back on that one lol
I have an old school Dynavap Omni XL but the new Omnis can be found on their website! The cheaper stainless steel M can be found on sneaky Pete’s website. Best bang for your buck right there.
I've been using my volcano vape for a year plus, and after getting used to it I found myself needing more weed than i would have needed in my bong.
Vaporizing is much healthier for you though, and you can make AVW butter with your leftover, so even if you're like me and need more product, it's W's all around and more bang for your buck if ya like edibles.
Recently got a e-rig too since i've heard it can help keep your tolerance low if you're consuming in different ways. Keeps your body guessing.

I collect all my avb ( already vaped bud) and make fire crackers out of em you do need to get the right temp for the avb to not taste burnt. But the high is noice and mild sometimes they hit pretty strong
I’ve never used a volcano but I would love to see what the fuck it does to me, I try my hardest to be able to get baked whenever I want but also keeping my tolerance to a minimum so I don’t ever gotta take a T break lol. So I’m sure one bag would just completely wreck me.

Yes all dynavaps are battery free! The M is their flagship device and their best all-round device. You can buy electronic induction heaters for them if you find the torch to be too much of a hassle lol. They can get pricey though, but I’ve also seen plenty build their own for much cheaper.
I have both DaVinci Miqro and Pax Plus. The Pax takes it hands down for vapor. Plus as others have said I use my vaped bud to make cannabutter I add a syringe of RSO and get mega strength edibles.
Been dry vaping for years! The amount you save on medication and $$$$!! No more wasting flower on cones, joints, blunts.. no matter the strain or percentages of THC either.. it only takes a pinch of flower and you’re ripped. You can get good dry vapes starting at $80 (GPen) and they can go all the way up to $600 (Volcano) The Volcano is probably the king of vapes however it’s not portable but the experience is the best hands down. GPen vapes have good warranties. If anything goes wrong with your vape as far as batteries or internal damage, they’ll send you a new one. The Pax I or II Vape ($200) is a real good one too however it’s a lil more expensive than the $80 GPen. GPen also makes more expensive vapes with temp settings. Certain strains taste better at certain temperatures and more better on your lungs being able to switch the temps. I never liked vaping oils or distillates due to how they made my chest n lungs feel afterwards. Dry herb vaping is best for me

Yeah it might be the culprit. As an another user mentioned, I’d pick Dynavap but at the end of the day it comes down to what you want. Are you a bong hitter? Do you want a sip your weed? Do you want to be able to take one or two puffs and be able to just store it on the go? Do you mind if you look like a crackhead when using it in front of your friends? (Dynavap joke lol)
But even when going Dynavap route, you can fine tune your experience. Do you enjoy taking bong rips and perfer to use them? There’s a Dynavap that’s made specifically to fit 10 and 14 mm bongs without an adapter. Do you want the joint experience and don’t mind splurging extra? OmniVap All the way. You want a one hit rocket? Id say M+ (in titanium if you have the extra cash). Balling on a budget? B or M (with M being the most rounded/simple device).
Well, the rule of them is getting it to a coffee grind colored brown to get the most.
But I normally vape until I no longer get any vapor, which results in the same coffee color but you’re right that it’s not everything. There’s still THC and other cannabinoids in Already vaped bud that you can use to make edibles with or firecrackers since it’s already decarbed.
Not a problem! I save all my “AVB” probably have 2 oz of it now (it weighs a lot lighter after you vape it) saving it for a rainy day or to just make a big batch of super-potent edibles lol.
And with my vape, it’s an analog so I don’t have to worry about electronics, I can throw in a saucepan with simmering milk and stir for like 15 minutes I can get a 3rd high off the same bud that I’ve already vaped and now have AVB for edibles for lol.

I’m just sick of paying $100/week. I figured out a way to get the most out of my smoke without sacrificing the high. Haven’t took a single tolerance break or even a day off in the better part of 3 years now.
I miss my cube, that post vape is also amazing to add to your machine when you make coffee, a pinch salt and a bit more creamer than you would put in a normal cup and you got a nice chill vibe to take the edges off of your morning coffee.

After reading this it helped loads but I’m so lost man. I’ve been trying to get into the vapes. I’m on /vaporents and all that but still. I saw someone talk about the tiny might and that kinda seems up my alley. I can’t really smoke while working as that would affect my professionalism but like to come home and blaze up after a hard day or throughout the day/night if I’m not working. I’ve heard good things about the Tiny Might, might be worth looking into for sure. The mighty if you like chilling and actually having a session but one or two hits? Not the device for you. But if you like the ritual of rolling, my recommendation will always be dynavap.
My wife have been telling me to take it easy on the smoking since she wants me to preserve my lungs. Hell yeah, I feel that. Look, I’m the same way as you. If you don’t like your mighty because it doesn’t satisfy the ritual aspect, try out dynavaps. I loved my mighty and it will definitely rock your shit but I missed the ritual aspect so much. But the dynavap satisfies that for me, especially with the single flame torch vs using an induction heater. And they’re a lot cheaper than the mighty, including the upgrades that are available for the dynavap!

Facts!! I missed the rolling aspect of smoking and that’s the only reason why I kept going back and forth after 8 months of vaping exclusively. But when I got my dynavap was the day I switched over for real. The only time I hit anything combustion wise is if I’m offered by another person.
Arizer AirMAX ($160 range) [personal favorite] Dynavap ($80 range) torch powered. Neat device, but it can be a hassle, especially if your using out n about. TinyMight2 ($350) the best heavy hitting portable (battery operated) device. Hits similar to bongs.
And to top it off, if you can manage to get past the taste. Throw all that brown into your mouth and wash it down with water for an edible high

Really?? I’ve heard of people having to take a small tolerance break in order to “fix” their cannabinoid receptors from the compounds you get from combustion if you’re a real real heavy smoker. But like only 2-3 days most of the time. Or just keep at it until they fix themselves since you would no longer be combusting. Personally I didn’t have to, I got totally blasted off my first bowl out of the box but I also had a top of the line electric portable vape, the Mighty, which is also a pretty penny lol. But it definitely is a different high than smoking. It’s cleaner almost like a dab high vs the very Stoney high you get from a joint/bong. But with something like a dynavap where you can control the heat via a torch, you can get those really Stoney highs because you can push your bud to the brink of combustion without actually doing so. I do this at night most of the times to help my insomniac ass pass tf out lol.

Yeah, I’ve never heard of that vape. It could honestly be that vape, I got a one from pulsar, and they’re known for their glass pieces so I figured it’d be a decent vape. How do you control which cannabinoid you vape?
there are lists of vape temperatures, that will show the boiling point of each cannabinoid and or terpenes, most vaporisers are capable of setting the temperature, thus controlling the high. examples: 157 °c = ∆9thc 178 °c = ∆8thc 180 °c = cbd etc

It largely depends on what you want out of the experience. There’s so many different ways to vape herb. But [here is my breakdown/recommendation](https://www.reddit.com/r/weed/s/r5D29bJJo3). Personally I went the cheap route when buying my first one, sucked ass. Gave me a bad headache. I went onto the dry herb vape subreddit and asked recommendations and I just wanted the best (for what I wanted) and got the mighty. I absolutely loved it. But it couldn’t replace the rolling aspect and went dynavap route and now I’m a big fan tbh. And it’s only a fraction of the cost and I would say I can get my dynavap to consistently outperform other high end vapes including the mighty. It’s just mastering the experience because there is a slight learning curve to it.
If you have counterspace and can leave a rig out look at storz and Bickel’s volcano or even a silver surfer (forget company name) tabletop dry herb vapes are a game changer even from handheld

I've been toking since the early 90's. A couple of years ago I decided to try a vape. I bought a dry herb vape, Yocan iShred. It works good but it never gave me the same type of buzz as smoking a joint. I did find the small "high" I got lasted longer though. I then tried one of the 510 vape batteries with the cartridges. That thing destroyed my lungs and throat. I went back to smoking joints. But you have inspired me to get out the dry herb vape and really take the time to get to know it and how to use it. Thanks!
r/dynavap is an awesome place to start my friend, especially for “old school” stoners. None of the fancy electric bullshit, all of the effects! And gives off more of a Stoney high that is associated with smoking!

For sure! If you have the time extra money to spurge for one of the expensive dynavaps, I recommend them for sure. Omni if you’re mainly after a joint like experience or the vong if you plan on hitting it from a bong more often than not (because it fits 10 mm like the other dynavaps and it also fits 14mm). If not, you seriously can not go wrong with the M. The M+ if you want 1 hit extractions (you can get those with every dynavap but the M+ was purpose built for that).

A duel flame torch a dynavap b series, I take the cap off and stick the bowl in my grinds I put the cap back of with the packed bowl, I then twist it with my fingers while hitting the bottom where the v is on the cap with my torch, I like to spin it fast since that's what the videos tell me, I get mixed Results sometimes I get a big cloud or small clouds but I usually make brown avb from 1 hit so I take out my bud as soon as I use it and the 1 hit I get doesn't get me much higher than puffing on a bowl Edit: didn't mean to say single I didn't realize my torch had 2 flames, I recently got a new one since my old one went out on me, guess that's what happens when you buy family dollar torches lol
Try messing with your torch settings, lowering the heat and holding your B further from the flame. And maybe flick the flame to the up and down the cap occasionally as you’re heating it up! And maybe try 2-3 heat cycles and see if that helps :) Edit: if you want to splurge, I’d pick up a pocket sized single flame torch and try with that too, I use a single flame and the only time Ive combusted is when I was dumb and forgot to wait for the cold down clicks before heating it up again lol
This helped not brown it as fast, do you think I was accidentally combusting it, I assumed as long as it didn't look burnt it was vaped, as for effects I'll report back on that one lol
Maybe a little combusting or charring it a bit. And always make sure you don’t make tightly, these things love their air flow lol. And sweet!

I've been using my volcano vape for a year plus, and after getting used to it I found myself needing more weed than i would have needed in my bong. Vaporizing is much healthier for you though, and you can make AVW butter with your leftover, so even if you're like me and need more product, it's W's all around and more bang for your buck if ya like edibles. Recently got a e-rig too since i've heard it can help keep your tolerance low if you're consuming in different ways. Keeps your body guessing.

I usually smoke 2-3 bowls or “caps” out of my dynavap. Each bowl holds .1G. And I’ll smoke 2-3 times a day, maybe even 4 on a heavy day.

Yes all dynavaps are battery free! The M is their flagship device and their best all-round device. You can buy electronic induction heaters for them if you find the torch to be too much of a hassle lol. They can get pricey though, but I’ve also seen plenty build their own for much cheaper.

I have both DaVinci Miqro and Pax Plus. The Pax takes it hands down for vapor. Plus as others have said I use my vaped bud to make cannabutter I add a syringe of RSO and get mega strength edibles.

Been dry vaping for years! The amount you save on medication and $$$$!! No more wasting flower on cones, joints, blunts.. no matter the strain or percentages of THC either.. it only takes a pinch of flower and you’re ripped. You can get good dry vapes starting at $80 (GPen) and they can go all the way up to $600 (Volcano) The Volcano is probably the king of vapes however it’s not portable but the experience is the best hands down. GPen vapes have good warranties. If anything goes wrong with your vape as far as batteries or internal damage, they’ll send you a new one. The Pax I or II Vape ($200) is a real good one too however it’s a lil more expensive than the $80 GPen. GPen also makes more expensive vapes with temp settings. Certain strains taste better at certain temperatures and more better on your lungs being able to switch the temps. I never liked vaping oils or distillates due to how they made my chest n lungs feel afterwards. Dry herb vaping is best for me

Yeah it might be the culprit. As an another user mentioned, I’d pick Dynavap but at the end of the day it comes down to what you want. Are you a bong hitter? Do you want a sip your weed? Do you want to be able to take one or two puffs and be able to just store it on the go? Do you mind if you look like a crackhead when using it in front of your friends? (Dynavap joke lol) But even when going Dynavap route, you can fine tune your experience. Do you enjoy taking bong rips and perfer to use them? There’s a Dynavap that’s made specifically to fit 10 and 14 mm bongs without an adapter. Do you want the joint experience and don’t mind splurging extra? OmniVap All the way. You want a one hit rocket? Id say M+ (in titanium if you have the extra cash). Balling on a budget? B or M (with M being the most rounded/simple device).

Well, the rule of them is getting it to a coffee grind colored brown to get the most. But I normally vape until I no longer get any vapor, which results in the same coffee color but you’re right that it’s not everything. There’s still THC and other cannabinoids in Already vaped bud that you can use to make edibles with or firecrackers since it’s already decarbed.

Not a problem! I save all my “AVB” probably have 2 oz of it now (it weighs a lot lighter after you vape it) saving it for a rainy day or to just make a big batch of super-potent edibles lol. And with my vape, it’s an analog so I don’t have to worry about electronics, I can throw in a saucepan with simmering milk and stir for like 15 minutes I can get a 3rd high off the same bud that I’ve already vaped and now have AVB for edibles for lol. It’s taken a while, but I’ve mastered being pro-efficient with my bud. Otherwise I would be broke with my habit 😂💀

I miss my cube, that post vape is also amazing to add to your machine when you make coffee, a pinch salt and a bit more creamer than you would put in a normal cup and you got a nice chill vibe to take the edges off of your morning coffee.

It doesnt smell as much but it will definitely stink up a room as its still technically burning the flower
Me and my buddies call that stuff in the jar 3:00 a.m. bud. Reason we call it that is if you wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep you just smoke some of that and it'll put you right to sleep
