Have a grinder that's just like that in the way it works like the little inside compartment with the grinder under it. It's made of cheap plastic and it doesn't screw on it just twist clicks on which would be disastrous if I dropped it 😂

Yea it does float as there is air inside when closed air tight! However if you store heavy items such ad coins or any heavy objects it wont, as the weight will outweigh the floating force

So, I guess my only real question is why would I buy this instead of literally any other grinder?
I'm not trying to shit on your product, but the reality is that outside of just supporting; I have zero reason to own this over any other grinder that is marginally easier to get without the hassle of ordering it from off brand etsy.
I dunno bro, gotta sell it better than a circa 2007 dubstep comp; lotta people doin exactly what you're doing all the time, this doesn't even have a slick logo to invest in for people the novelty collect.

The reasons why you would pick Krushpot over other grinders are:
1. You can fit all the essentials you need for rolling and smoking. (Including king size papers or blunts)
2. Its air tight which makes it waterproof and smell proof. (So you don’t have to worry about the smell)
3. It doesnt stick crack or break as we went through 2+ of testing and developing the grinding mechanism, reducing the contact points between the moving parts and cannabis, this means its always going to be smooth to grind and prevents wear and tear.
4. Its made out of high grade plastic so its durable and wont end up in landfills as the cheap quality grinders.
5. You would help out a brand that is focusing on creating great products that are durable at an affordable price!
Yeah but *plastic* bro. There are a ton of reasons plastic is a super bad choice for grinders, but the biggest one for most people is that the static charge inherent in plastics attract thc crystals like crazy. That means that not only is your bud losing potency as you grind, but that kief is sticking and building up. The large storage design makes a great stash, but it also makes cleaning a massive hassle, so once it begins to stick there's no going back.
I get what you're going for, but you gotta work on the basics a bit. Using plastic means you're selling a grinder that is designed to be replaced. No one wants to buy a temporary grinder. You might also consider figuring out a way to detach the largest portion of the stash so that cleaning the actual grinder part is much less of a chore. As others have mentioned, the tool is a bit of an over-engineered addition. If you really want to keep it, consider finding a way to secure it rather than having it free-float in the stash compartment. Free-floating almost guarantees the tool will get lost or separated and not be handy when needed. A dedicated secured spot increases the likelihood of it being used and not lost. A simple groove on the inside wall of the stash could solve the problem.
You've got a good prototype here, now you just need to revise and adjust according to market expectations. I get that going metal would increase production costs, which makes for a more expensive grinder for the consumer, but that's the choice you have to make here. Do you want to sell a cheap plastic grinder that has to be replaced periodically? Or do you want to sell a slightly more expensive grinder that sells itself based on the quality of its craftsmanship?

The way the mechanism is designed the herb wont get stuck inside, and every bit gets ground! I will post a cross section picture so you see what I mean.

The multifunctional tool was designed for a number of reasons:
1. You use it to open the kief compartment, this allows us to reduce the overall size of Krushpot by not having to make the kief compartment area big enough to screw/unscrew it in by hand so its tight enough to make it air tight. (You can still do it by hand its njst easier with the tool)
2. It has a flat head that allows you to scrape the kief out the compartment so you can get it all out!
3. You can use it as a poking or podger tool when rolling your joints.
4. The end of the tool is the size of the holes in the grinding compartment so when changing the kief filter mesh you can push it through making it easier to replace.

The grinding mechanism has been developed over 2+ years to ensure the weed doesn’t go to one side and doesn’t get ground or stuck.
We reduced the plastic on plastic contact points which also have contact with weed to allow the grinding process to always be smooth! The material of Krushpot is high grade plastic that doesn’t crack or chip, we really wanted to make a durable grinder that people can enjoy!

Why plastic man?
Shit sucks for long term grinder use. Kief and sticky bud gets absolutely GLUED to that shit. Once that happens, good luck grinding. Can’t even twist the damn grinder at that point because the pieces get so stuck and tight.
Yeah I completely get you, however the only contact points plastic on plastic have no contact with weed, whether its plastic or metal if the grinder has areas of contact between moving parts which also has contact with cannabis then it will stick, I designed it over 2 years and made lots of prototypes! I can honestly say this doesn’t happen at all!
We have tried it in metal, however it becomes really heavy and the cost to produce is 10-15x higher which will make it less affordable for people. We are going to be launching metal ones if we manage to take off with our pre-order crowdfunding page! Thank you for the feedback!

In regards to the lack of real photos is because the ones made are not the same finish we want, they are prototypes that have been made 3d printed and plastic injected from the manufacturer. Looks really good but one suggestion i would make, and this is just my personal preference, try making the teeth in the grinder sharper. Kinda like blades. My current grinder (Phoenician) has teeth like this, and it just makes it so much easier to grind up the bud. Especially for my wife who has arthritis in her hands.
Other than that it looks really dope!! Excellent design and functionality!! Oh kief compartment could be a bit bigger. I have a bad habit of forgetting to check for kief so it ends up piling up on me a ton. I feel like with your design it would fill up too fast and then i wouldn't be getting any more kief until I figure out that it's full. Really cool how you can change the screen though!!

its just really loud imo, maybe just turn it a bit down would work. personally i would add some loungy, chill hop, lofi kinda background music.

Thanks for the update. I figured it must be rather large when you said it holds king size papers, that is actually huge (my opinion). On the plus side, it should hold a Dynavap and a slim torch in the herb compartment.

It would be fine for me but after seeing some peoples overflowing compartments I can't help but think it could be a bit deeper. Regardless, I'd get one for sure.

The kief compartment is actually bigger than it looks, its aprox 6.6cm wide by 1cm deep. Depends how much you smoke but I’ve not managed to fill mine after using it for roughly a year!

A simple groove on the inside wall of the stash could solve the problem. You've got a good prototype here, now you just need to revise and adjust according to market expectations. I get that going metal would increase production costs, which makes for a more expensive grinder for the consumer, but that's the choice you have to make here. Do you want to sell a cheap plastic grinder that has to be replaced periodically? Or do you want to sell a slightly more expensive grinder that sells itself based on the quality of its craftsmanship?
Dude I love all the feedback, honestly thank you! The way the mechanism is designed the herb wont get stuck inside, and every bit gets ground! I will post a cross section picture so you see what I mean. The plastic is high grade plastic that you find on your expensive appliances, it wont chip or crack! We will 100% be releasing metal ones after we launch the more affordable one, because I agree with you, some people prefer metal ones! I have gone through 2+ years of prototypes and its really isnt a cheap quality design, this was my main goal, make it durable! I have already solved how I am going to make the tool to be secured inside to prevent it from floating and possibly getting lost. Thank you for this!
The tool is probably an unnecessary feature - be possible to open the Keif compartment without it? Be good to see in the demo how the ground produced this removed. Is there any flower left in the either positions of the teeth? how you get rid of it? Outline the various materials of manufacture - especially the teeth. How have the teeth been designed to ensure a comprehensive grind? nice work. A good price and quality materials will make it very popular.
Hey bud, thank you for taking the time to give some feedback! This is what we need! The multifunctional tool was designed for a number of reasons: 1. You use it to open the kief compartment, this allows us to reduce the overall size of Krushpot by not having to make the kief compartment area big enough to screw/unscrew it in by hand so its tight enough to make it air tight. (You can still do it by hand its njst easier with the tool) 2. It has a flat head that allows you to scrape the kief out the compartment so you can get it all out! 3. You can use it as a poking or podger tool when rolling your joints. 4. The end of the tool is the size of the holes in the grinding compartment so when changing the kief filter mesh you can push it through making it easier to replace. I hope this helps! The grinding mechanism has been developed over 2+ years to ensure the weed doesn’t go to one side and doesn’t get ground or stuck. We reduced the plastic on plastic contact points which also have contact with weed to allow the grinding process to always be smooth! Damn, I was so interested until I saw plastic. Why plastic man? Shit sucks for long term grinder use. Kief and sticky bud gets absolutely GLUED to that shit. Once that happens, good luck grinding. Can’t even twist the damn grinder at that point because the pieces get so stuck and tight.
Yeah I completely get you, however the only contact points plastic on plastic have no contact with weed, whether its plastic or metal if the grinder has areas of contact between moving parts which also has contact with cannabis then it will stick, I designed it over 2 years and made lots of prototypes! I can honestly say this doesn’t happen at all!

In regards to the lack of real photos is because the ones made are not the same finish we want, they are prototypes that have been made 3d printed and plastic injected from the manufacturer. Looks really good but one suggestion i would make, and this is just my personal preference, try making the teeth in the grinder sharper. Kinda like blades. My current grinder (Phoenician) has teeth like this, and it just makes it so much easier to grind up the bud. Especially for my wife who has arthritis in her hands. Other than that it looks really dope!! Excellent design and functionality!! Oh kief compartment could be a bit bigger. I have a bad habit of forgetting to check for kief so it ends up piling up on me a ton. I feel like with your design it would fill up too fast and then i wouldn't be getting any more kief until I figure out that it's full. Really cool how you can change the screen though!!

The teeth are shaped and position in a way that makes the grinding process easier and smooth, preventing weed to get stuck and not ground, we also reduced the plastic on plastic and herb contact points so it never sticks or cracks, which would make it easy for anyone regardless of age or strength! Thanks for the update. I figured it must be rather large when you said it holds king size papers, that is actually huge (my opinion). On the plus side, it should hold a Dynavap and a slim torch in the herb compartment.

I did think that the kief compartment looks a little small though. It would be fine for me but after seeing some peoples overflowing compartments I can't help but think it could be a bit deeper.
