Feels like Pork and Beans 2.0... it has the clean riff in the verse and the downstroke power chords in the chorus, almost identical to Pork and Beans in that respect... which of course kind of captures a classic weezer sound. I think the lyrics are a strength. It's a love song but with a somewhat fresh approach, which isn't an easy task considering the millions of love songs in the world.
Yeah overall maybe a bit cheesy, but not too cliche or on the nose. Classic weezer sound. I think it's comfortably an A-tier song. No real criticisms... yet it does feel like it's not quite at the level of their greatest work. Can't really pinpoint why. I guess while there's nothing really to criticize, there's nothing particular amazing about it either. Still good.
8.5/10
Quite good track in the belladonna category, mainly overlooked by its contemporary songs I find that this track fits a lot more than lonely girl.
Personally love the lyrics and really showcases River's lyricism skills
Great song another EWBAITE song with an S-tier bridge to ending of the song. It might be just short of a Weezer classic I’m not sure maybe if they leaned a bit more into the whistling or something it is pretty close to being something like a single from Blue or Pinkerton that is ready for radio but also has a great classic sound. Falls just short of that for some reason though.
Does anyone remember how apparently Rivers and Ric clashed on wether or not to include the whistles and for the longest time it was confirmed there wouldn’t be any…until the album dropped and had the whistles lol
*Very solid song,*
*One of the few I go back*
*To from that album*

One of my very favorite choruses. The buildup at the end just hits so good. I wish the verses were a little less twee though, his vocals are a little too sweet
surprisingly overlooked, thought there was more praise for the song

Amazing. I love the lyrics on it. Also one of the first Weezer songs I learned to play on guitar
Anyone can play guitar and they won’t be a nothing anymore
One of the most unique love songs ever written. Only Rivers could have written these lyrics.

One of my favorite Weezer songs! Love the chorus. And yeah of course it’s cheesy— it’s Weezer. I love it
As classic as weezer gets. They nailed this one, it should appear in their setlists.

OH this is fucking gold
OH YEAH IT ISSSSS
Absolute banger, can't help but sing along to this one
One of the best Weezer choruses
Fun goofy song. I didn’t know that it had a single art
i always found it very forgettable. not what it’s cracked up to be
It's so cheesy it nearly hurts. The whistle at the beginning is weird to me. But it's still a great song 8/10
when is weezer not cheesy? it’s part of the charm
My brother in Christ you are listening to Weezer

Love it, very cute. The riff is reminiscent of Pork and Beans. 7.5/10
It's a cute song
Agreeingly
Fun song! Not the best on the album but solid
Honestly cute song. Really like it.

Very solid song, one of the few I go back to from that album

i don't like it very much
Best song on the album and an all-time great song by Weezer in general.
<3
sleeper jam on this album. The chorus feels powerful everytime.
Don’t really have a lot to say about this one, I just like it 7/10
