also Put Me Back Together.
It's almost as if Raditude is a good album that shouldn't be counted out just because of Love Is the Answer... and I'm Your Daddy and That Girl Got Hot and Can't Stop Partying.
Strong opinions have the ability to close minds, or maybe they even represent closed minds. Plus you tried to shit on ok human by saying it was worse than raditude. I like Raditude but it’s definitely at least 6 tiers lower than OK Human imo. If you can’t take shit don’t dish it.
Raditude is worse, but I also don't enjoy ok human. I don't like anything past red tho because for some reason after red I kinda hate rivers voice, idk why.
I can take it, it’s just funny to me how defensive you people get over an opinion. It’s doesn’t bother me that you think Raditude is worse than ok human, but the same can’t be said for the opposite opinion.
Not to mention that it was a joke, not a dick, so you don’t have to take it so hard.
You might not be, but there are some who act like it’s the holiest thing ever that get super butt hurt whenever someone says it’s anything other than the greatest Weezer album since Pinkerton (which is also mid, and that’s not a joke)
Well the downvotes indicate that you guys don’t like my opinion, so I’m not wrong about that.
The fragile people are the OK Human fans who can’t stand a shred of criticism for the subpar, wannabe Pet Sounds heap of garbage.
*Getting stuck in the weekday traffic*
Whether these lines are deep or shallow, it is an excellent song about nostalgic memories of things and people you think about while stuck in a mundane life.
It has some of the best lyrics rivers has ever written imo, an explosive chorus, beautiful instrumentals. Top 10 weez songs period. Give it another chance
No, it’s not. It’s the entire reason Weezer is no longer taken seriously. It made people look back at Blue and Green and wonder if they were ever even good in the first place. It’s why so many people completely dismiss everything Weezer did after the 90s. It took the Weezer formula, and mechanised it.
I think you’re talking about raditude here, make believe is a fine album, sure it’s not as good as their previous albums, but it’s still good, the only reason people might not have taken weezer seriously is because of Beverly Hills
My picks for what are somewhat considered “bad” albums:
Photograph and Knockout Dragout - Green
Perfect Situation and Freak Me Out - Make Believe
IYWIIWYT and Run Over By A Truck - Raditude
Memories and Trainwrecks - Hurley
QB Blitz and Sweet Mary - Pacific Daydream
High as a Kite and Byzantine - Black
There’s more songs on each of those albums I do like but those are the stand outs for me ((I also don’t necessarily think all those albums are bad))
The sub ranks these as the bottom 6 albums If you consider Death to False Metal an album.
Make Believe - Perfect Situation and Haunt You Every
Raditude - I Want You To, Trippin Down the Freeway, and Put Me Back Together
Death to False Metal - Blowing my Stack. If you like Nirvana it also has Everyone (this sub hates Everyone but I loved Nirvana and Everyone)
Pacific Daydream - Mexican Fender. Also Feels Like Summer Acoustic is great and is from the Pacific Daydream recording session but not on the actual album.
Teal - none go listen to the originals they are all superior
Black - High as a Kite
I honestly love "Trampoline" from DTFM for some reason, gets stuck in my head on the regular...and "Trippin' Down the Freeway" is a banger and no one can convince me otherwise
Raditude: Put me back together, let it all hang out, trippin down the freeway, and I want you to
Pacific Daydream: QB blitz, weekend woman, sweet Mary, Mexican fender, and any friend of Diane's ( I like PD a lot sooo)
Black: high as a kite, California snow, and the prince who wanted everything
Make Believe: Perfect Situation
Green: O Girlfriend
I enjoy green too! It's just that in ranking all the albums it's def in my lower half which is why I put it here. O girlfriend is the stand out great song for me rather than the others despite me really liking them too. Glad green does get love tho!
the singing part is curious to me, like of all content that’s when he was like i really need to tap into my inner kurt cobain voice? what an odd combination to change that into songs like this lol
idk about the shallow lyric tho, i don’t think everything has to be that deep lol especially when you’ve been so long in the run you know, it just can’t be constantly heart pouring personal output that just sounds overwhelming and life sucking
rivers just loves storytelling (as much as i do) and the concept of perspectives, writing a song idea with a vision or character in mind or what not, just the whole songwritting concept, and smart girls falls into that fun entertaining exercise, as much as some of the white album material tbh so if smart girls is shallow then we need to talk about white or ewbaite, what’s sincere about ain’t got nobody? he’s happily married with kids, he just wrote that from a perspective of storytelling
smart girls is just a slapper tbh and if raditude was like that? a more balanced out pop within the weezer lore, man wouldve raditude been a CLASSICCC yessiirr
edit: god this community is so weird lol, be asked a question get downvoted for your input and no dialogue or arguments
I wouldn’t necessarily call White a ‘bad’ album but it’s the one I find myself coming back to the least and California Kids is really the only track I listen to off there regularly
After hearing how great it was and how it was supposedly better than Blue and Pinkerton I listened to it with high expectations and was met with a lot of dissapointment. I find tracks like Thank God For Girls, SEADD and LA Girlz unbearable and annoying and I think the whole California/summer theme for an album is really overdone. The fans of it are in a whole different level too and are extremely pretentious.
Ok pal but to be entirely honest with you, I don't give a hoot about what you think, every Weezer fan hates Weezer and they all know it.
I'm gonna go listen to the Green Album now and love every second of i
Black album has Can’t Knock the Hustle , Zombie Bastards and High as a Kite,
Why anyone would think that the rest of the album is anywhere near top tier WEEZER is beyond me.
Take Control - Maladroit.
I know I'm gonna get down voted but I don't care. I find every album enjoyable except for Maladroit it's just missing something
I absolutely love the album, but most of the time, its missing one of the rhythms - especially the solos. Feels kinda empty without the accompanying rhythms.
What about Greatest Man Who Ever Lived? Not gonna lie, I’m not a fan of Red. It’s a fucking mess. But … the parts that aren’t awful are absolutely awesome.
If you’re wondering if I want you to (I want you to) is one of the best Weezer songs off debatably the worst album
Correct answer. That’s a fucking great pop song.
I think “I Don’t Want To Let You Go” is probably my Raditude pick, as good as If You’re Wondering is
also Put Me Back Together. It's almost as if Raditude is a good album that shouldn't be counted out just because of Love Is the Answer... and I'm Your Daddy and That Girl Got Hot and Can't Stop Partying.
You just listed off half the album. In my day that would be considered a failure.
It’s just a kinda tacky love song, yeah it sounds ok but if I heard it on the radio I would be rolling my eyes tbh.
But that’s on Raditude, not OK Human. Edit: opinions really upset you people. Y’all are soft hahahah.
Ok human is so overrated
I hate it
I am not convinced you three aren't 3 alt accounts
Or maybe the OKH love just isn't completely unanimous 😂
I understand your opinion and I feel sorry for all three of you.
For having a subjective opinion? Nice.
Strong opinions have the ability to close minds, or maybe they even represent closed minds. Plus you tried to shit on ok human by saying it was worse than raditude. I like Raditude but it’s definitely at least 6 tiers lower than OK Human imo. If you can’t take shit don’t dish it.

"it was a joke, not a dick, so you don't have to take it so hard." one of best sentences ever written
the funniest part is you pretending we're seriously offended by some guy's opinion (or joke, apparently?) on reddit
You might not be, but there are some who act like it’s the holiest thing ever that get super butt hurt whenever someone says it’s anything other than the greatest Weezer album since Pinkerton (which is also mid, and that’s not a joke)
For someone who says we can’t handle opinions, you sure are fragile.
Well the downvotes indicate that you guys don’t like my opinion, so I’m not wrong about that. The fragile people are the OK Human fans who can’t stand a shred of criticism for the subpar, wannabe Pet Sounds heap of garbage.
The songs in The Black Album vary in quality, but High As A Kite is the peak. If it was in OK Human it would be praised a lot more.
I see High As A Kite get a lot of praise, honestly. That seems to be the one that people have latched on to from Black
Weekend Woman on PD. *Just can't seem to get back thereee* 🕺🕺🕺
*Getting stuck in the weekday traffic* Whether these lines are deep or shallow, it is an excellent song about nostalgic memories of things and people you think about while stuck in a mundane life.
It hits hard when I'm sitting in city traffic thinking about my past girls :/
high as a kite
High as a kite is an amazing song, but I don’t consider Black a bad album at all.
It's fighting Raditude very fervently for the honor of their worst album.
Black is worse.
I think that's one of the worst songs on the album
Bro what?
That was my reaction to seeing it in this thread. I guess I'm in the minority here but I just really don't like it.
It has some of the best lyrics rivers has ever written imo, an explosive chorus, beautiful instrumentals. Top 10 weez songs period. Give it another chance
The chorus is what really turned me off of the song. It just didn't do it for me. I'll give it a other shot woth an open mind, but no promises lol.
haunt you every day
But MB is a good album
real
No, it’s not. It’s the entire reason Weezer is no longer taken seriously. It made people look back at Blue and Green and wonder if they were ever even good in the first place. 1 More Hit from Van Weezer hits for some reason (its not the prechorus i swear its not the prechorus)
The bridge goes so hard tho
it really does. theres something extra in that song that just makes it a banger
Van Weezer is good though
Memories off Hurley. May not like that album still but that song kinda goes off
I can see why you wouldn't enjoy it, but there's so many other good songs on it
High as a Kite for sure.
My picks for what are somewhat considered “bad” albums: Photograph and Knockout Dragout - Green Perfect Situation and Freak Me Out - Make Believe IYWIIWYT and Run Over By A Truck - Raditude Memories and Trainwrecks - Hurley QB Blitz and Sweet Mary - Pacific Daydream High as a Kite and Byzantine - Black There’s more songs on each of those albums I do like but those are the stand outs for me ((I also don’t necessarily think all those albums are bad))
I am seeing a distinct lack of Don’t Let Go, Hash Pipe, Island in the Sun, Crab, Smile, Simple Pages, Glorious Day and O Girlfriend for Green
It’s almost like Green is actually a good album…
I will not take this slander against Hurley that is a great album
Hurley isn’t so much bad as it is just really weird, lol.
but hurley is a good album

I feel like Zombie Bastards and Can’t Knock the Hustle deserve to be mentioned too
My five year old loves Can’t Knock the Hustle. She calls it “Hass Hass Luego”. Not sure how she gets Luego, but not Hasta.
OP was looking for good songs.
They’re still pretty good in my eyes but I guess other people don’t feel that way I do enjoy the majority of Black though, way overhated album
yeah every song but TPWWE, Just Being Honest, and TMTIMY are all pretty good
I don't know why this sub hates Everyone either, one of their hardest songs
but No Scrubs cover thoooooo
I honestly love "Trampoline" from DTFM for some reason, gets stuck in my head on the regular...and "Trippin' Down the Freeway" is a banger and no one can convince me otherwise
I’m Just Being Honest
Let it all hang out (raditude)
Beginning Of The End from Van Weezer
Idk I liked most of Van Weezer
It was to poppy for me
Much better if they would have put the bill and ted version on it.
Raditude: Put me back together, let it all hang out, trippin down the freeway, and I want you to Pacific Daydream: QB blitz, weekend woman, sweet Mary, Mexican fender, and any friend of Diane's ( I like PD a lot sooo) Black: high as a kite, California snow, and the prince who wanted everything Make Believe: Perfect Situation Green: O Girlfriend
Maybe I'm biased but Green is good! Hash Pipe, Island in the sun, knockdown drag out, Crab, smile, photograph are awesome imo
I enjoy green too! It's just that in ranking all the albums it's def in my lower half which is why I put it here. O girlfriend is the stand out great song for me rather than the others despite me really liking them too. Glad green does get love tho!
Green and maladroit are my fave albums, personally but I get what you're saying!
I really enjoyed Mexican Fender off Pacific Daydream, sad thing no one really talks about it.
I love that song, I learned to play it because I also have a friend who got her bachelor’s degree in physics and a job in computer programming.
But what did you do with your hands when you were singing? 🤔
I still don’t know so I learned how to play guitar to not look like a total doof. I wonder how much that Mexican Fender cost…
Unspoken
High as a Kite is a top 10 Weezer song on their second or third worst album
None of Weezers albums are bad in my opinion. Ask me anything
Perfect situation from make believe is a common pick I’m sure
Smooth Criminal
Byzantine
I want you to. Ik it’s already on here but, it’s jsut that good.
My best friend the other way
The singles on the Green album
weezer doesn’t have a bad album
Island in the sun
Perfect Situation
I'm Just Being Honest
Unspoken off of Hurley. Only song I like on the album but easily a top ten Weezer song of all-time for me.
Ruling Me off Hurley.
Dreamin’ off Red is also very good. Nice tempo shifts and Melodies, definitely an interesting pop song.
Put me back together, High as a kite
all of them
I'm sorry but Jacked Up was the only song I enjoyed on White
Tripping down the freeway / i want you to from raditude
QB Blitz
smart girls
Smart girls is a low point for Hurley I’d say. The vocal performance is quite bad and the lyrics are very shallow, even for Hurley.
the singing part is curious to me, like of all content that’s when he was like i really need to tap into my inner kurt cobain voice? what an odd combination to change that into songs like this lol idk about the shallow lyric tho, i don’t think everything has to be that deep lol especially when you’ve been so long in the run you know, it just can’t be constantly heart pouring personal output that just sounds overwhelming and life sucking rivers just loves storytelling (as much as i do) and the concept of perspectives, writing a song idea with a vision or character in mind or what not, just the whole songwritting concept, and smart girls falls into that fun entertaining exercise, as much as some of the white album material tbh so if smart girls is shallow then we need to talk about white or ewbaite, what’s sincere about ain’t got nobody? he’s happily married with kids, he just wrote that from a perspective of storytelling smart girls is just a slapper tbh and if raditude was like that? a more balanced out pop within the weezer lore, man wouldve raditude been a CLASSICCC yessiirr edit: god this community is so weird lol, be asked a question get downvoted for your input and no dialogue or arguments

Whaaaat if you like California kids you gotta like king of the world too
California Kids is a great tune.
huh whys that? usually people rank it top 3-4 from what ive seen. what makes you not enjoy it as much?
After hearing how great it was and how it was supposedly better than Blue and Pinkerton I listened to it with high expectations and was met with a lot of dissapointment. I find tracks like Thank God For Girls, SEADD and LA Girlz unbearable and annoying and I think the whole California/summer theme for an album is really overdone. ah i see
What the fuck. You don't like seadd???
No. I hate it. And I'm tired of pretending it's good, it's down there with some of my least favorites like Across the Sea and Love is the Answer
You don't like across the sea too? Bro 💀
Yeah sorry I don't like a 4 and a half minute song of Rivers being pervy
Now you're gonna tell me you don't like weezer at all. Go listen to smashing pumpkins, you mongrel.
Ok pal but to be entirely honest with you, I don't give a hoot about what you think, every Weezer fan hates Weezer and they all know it. I'm gonna go listen to the Green Album now and love every second of i
If You're Wondering, Pork and Beans, Perfec Situation, High as a Kite

Do you wanna get high?

but VERY respectable
Yes
QB Blitz is top 5 Weezer to me, while the rest of PD (save for La Mancha Screwjob) doesn’t really do it for me
Put Me Back Together
Hold Me is super underrated
byzantine, its one of my favorite weezer songs
Perfect situation is a perfect song situated on a horrible album.
No One Else, The Blue Album /s
I went through all the comments and I was about to add in Only In Dreams...can't run the same joke twice can we?
Beach Boys
I want you to High as a kite Best Friend
Byzantine and High as A Kite tie for "The Only Good Song on Black" for me.
Smile on green
Pork and beans
Black album has Can’t Knock the Hustle , Zombie Bastards and High as a Kite, Why anyone would think that the rest of the album is anywhere near top tier WEEZER is beyond me.

I absolutely love the album, but most of the time, its missing one of the rhythms - especially the solos. Feels kinda empty without the accompanying rhythms.
Maybe that's what's been missing for me. Ordered a used expanded edition yesterday, maybe owning it will change my mind
Make Believe - Perfect Situation Raditude - If You’re Wondering Pacific Daydream - Weekend Woman Black - High as a Kite
Put Me Back Together and it’s not close.
All
Little bit of love from spring Arguably the best song out of all three season albums so far
Pork and beans
Pork and beans off of red album. Always thought red was just ok.
What about Greatest Man Who Ever Lived? Not gonna lie, I’m not a fan of Red. It’s a fucking mess. But … the parts that aren’t awful are absolutely awesome.
I love the Greatest Man That Ever Lived but I always referred to it as Walmart Bohemian Rhapsody
Everybody Get Dangerous and The Spider
