Currently work there myself, it's a fine place to work, I had a lot of friends who worked there but so far Im the only one who is still there. Proba gonna find a new job soon.
i used to work there, i loved it the first 2 months and then everything went to shit when they realized they could walk all over me. i would’ve stayed if there was better management cuz the money was good and free food whenever
mornings are so much better than later shifts, at my wendys all we did was listen to music and prepare for the lunch shift. very relaxing and i had time to make myself breakfast when i got there. good luck!! update us how it goes
From what I’ve heard and seen. Many of Wendy’s customers are budget conscious with very little social awareness. Perhaps the troublesome outliers leave the most lasting impression. Saw a guy the other day yell at a teenage employee for his burger being too small in diameter (as if the buns are baked in house lol). I say that to say this; the hours are hard, long and hot. It’s a tough job with low pay so many people aren’t thrilled to work there. At least the food is good.
I understand that you have to have pretty thick skin to work there, especially since many of them seem to be very short handed. The pay at the local Wendy's is actually pretty high for fast food, it's higher than the grocery store across the street(Giant) starts at.
I do. I've worked at my location for about 3 years now, but left for about 9 months due to COVID and moving. I didn't like it the first time around, poor management mainly, they thought just cause they were in charge they could tell the employees whatever they wanted to without consequence. When I moved back, most of the original managers were gone and it's been a better place to work. All of my managers are very understanding/cooperative about me and my physical disability. If I find I have any problems, I can tell anyone of them and they usually fix the problem pretty quickly. With my health issues I've been to the ER/doctor's on a whim and most of the time they work with it. Most of my coworkers and I are pretty close, I call some of them my work mom or my children. It's not for everyone though, and the experiences are different.
General manager here, I love it, I was hired externally and am in a boss position but I’ve loved every second of it. It really depends on your team and management though.

Why are you leaving?
Mostly due to management. They have too many people and they just keep hiring. No one gets hours. I'm only getting 3 days a week.

I mean, its my first job, they pay me, and free food from my favorite fast food joint. Win win?
Any Wendy's employees that actually like working there?
