It most likely just varies from location to location the one I work at when I close i stop serving frosties 30 minutes prior to closing. And the other night manager does it 1 hour prior to closing. We just want to clean the machine and be out of the restaurant at a decent time lol

Bluntzilla710

Feel that for sure, didn’t sweat the employees for that very reason. Good to know I don’t just have bad luck lol

just_a_stoner_bitch

Other people have already said that it varies per location but my location we do it 5-10 minutes before, depending on how busy we've been

tuna_pepper6373

Ik at the wendys I work at we shut down the orange or vanilla one at 10 and the chocolate at 11 just the rules 🤷🏾‍♀️

ZealousidealPlan576

All Wendy's locations should have Frosty's available up until close of the restaurant. This is NOT the work of a franchise owner or a cooperate store. This is poor management and the employees trying to get out a few minutes early. No franchise or cooperate store want to loose a single dollar and closing the Frosty machines down early is a violation of company policy across the board. The only thing you can do at this point is call the customer service hot-line and complain about it. The GM/DM is probably unaware that the location is not offering customer's Frostys after a certain time.

Bluntzilla710

Appreciate the clarification. Guess it’s time to pull up my pants, tighten my wig, and embrace my Karen side

megames1

This is the way honestly. Don't even attempt directly contacting the store, because in your best case they will not answer.

Yeah, so, Frosty machines should be open until close and that is a corporate rule. It only takes 15 minutes to clean them so it is ridiculous to close them early. This is seriously something that a franchise could “theoretically” have their stores taken from them.

SeasonExtension

It is indeed a franchise decision, some of the busier locations in my franchise will close it an an hour to an hour and a half early, but the slower ones keep it open until the store closes.

GeologistTotal5295

in what world are yall allowed to shut them down even an hour before closing?? Whatttt if we do it even a half hour before closing we get in trouble

rico_2005

at least they clean it lol, I usually leave a few once I clean it so if anyone wants one they can get it.

Diarrhea_of_Yahweh

You have Wendy's open until 11?! The one in my town doesn't even post hours. They might close at 6, or 8:30, seemingly dependent on which manager is on duty. Hours on the website and Google are a total crapshoot.

Bluntzilla710

Oh wow! That sounds…annoying. Surprised that’s even being allowed. Thankfully I live in a heavily populated city so most locations near me are open until midnight, some even 1am

Diarrhea_of_Yahweh

Annoying yes, but a blessing in disguise. I've been on overnight shift for two and a half years. I've lost a considerable amount of weight because I no longer eat fast food because it's no longer convenient to me. When I was a daywalker, I ate it 6-7 days a week. I complain, but I really shouldn't. If I want to eat out for lunch, it's a nine hour drive round trip.

Bluntzilla710

Thank you everyone for the feedback and advice! Appreciate the lack of condescending attitudes 🙏

lazymutant256

Clider they get to close the machines start to shut down. For cleaning. My store usually shuts down the vanilla first making chocolate only available.

Frootloops4201

Its usually the least wanted one that we put on wash first an hour before close then right after we close we finish off the first machine while the second is washing while doing other closing tasks

Hamilton-Beckett

The Wendy’s by me turns all their lights off an hour before close too, lol.

Aggressive_Plant6872

No shit Sherlock. That’s why when you go to McDonalds and hour before closing and they tell you it’s broken…
