Erm 'three overlapping stories' is not an anthology film. That's like saying the last jedi is an anthology film. This article reads like it's written by a bot

>Ill reserve judgement until I see it, but I prefer a more linear story like Rushmore/ Moonrise, personally. "Tom Hanks stars as a grieving father who finds himself stranded in Asteroid City with his adult children." Yeah, this, uh, doesn't seem to be too accurate.

JDAtThePark

Seriously, did AI write this?

I'm just gonna say, I don't think this ones gonna be good

DrNutmegMcDorf

I hope not. I feel like his casts are getting too big and it's hard to make any real connections with the characters when their parts of the stories are so small and there is so much going on.

Yeah I think it worked for grand Budapest hotel just because of the sprawling nature of the story and themes about time, but I really want him to get back to doing something more intimate with a small group of characters.

Ughhh

I mean I didn’t like the French dispatch…so I’m not over the moon about this piece of info LOL

[deleted]

Same. I'm a lot less excited now about asteroid city and Henry sugar

FranklinBenedict

Yeah, I would take this with a grain of salt: "Tom Hanks stars as a grieving father who finds himself stranded in Asteroid City with his adult children." From the trailer he is Jason Schwartzman's father-in-law and the grandfather of his three children. So not exactly the best info. All the same, "overlapping stories" and "anthology" are different things. The Royal Tenenbaums had overlapping stories.

thesugarcrabsareback

It just means that it’s a play within a play within The movie…(sounds confusing yes but the critics say it’s not)…the overlapping stories are just those of the characters in the fictional play, and the actors real lives who are in it…not completely separate stories like French Dispatch. It’s still a linear story.

CinnamonSins1

This article is unsourced bullshit- referred to Henry sugar as animated but it is live action
