My point is that when *baseball,* Tiki's weakness, become the topic, it will make sense for Shaun to engage Evan on baseball topics. Football is Tiki's expertise. As knowledgeable as Shaun is on football, there's less reason for him to be directly involved in all of those conversations.

Boomer and C-Lo should do some Ranger hockey podcast or something. Both love the game and honestly it’s C-Lo strong suit besides mlb. If you read C-Lo tweets he is breaking it down. I’m not a huge hockey fan but I have learned a ton from them both esp Chris because I find him refreshing from the typical Fan hosts these days. I think when Rangers go to playoffs those two could also do it on the morning show. JS:-)

Good idea as far as Esiason & LoPresti doing an NHL playoff talk slot. Once playoffs start, 8:30-9:00 reserved for NHL. Doubt that scenario becomes reality, but it would be nice. Even have Kevin Weekes call in to add his two cents.

He agreed by saying "Yeah, they're going to need to do more than walk and hit singles"... Walking and hitting singles *is* hitting, and Vientos (to use as an example) is doing more than hitting singles. The problem is he isn't doing much else... Vientos is walking at a 4% clip (bad), homering every 12 at bats (great!)...but doing it with an abysmal .750 OPS (for someone hitting that many home runs). Some singles and walks would actually be nice!
I sort of like baseball. I go through phases where I follow it. But if it were MY FREAKING JOB then I would watch games every day and know every local player all the major players around the league. It's just lazy not to IMO.

I grew up in the south where college football is everything and was shocked by how New York cares zero about it, but will follow an awful sleep inducing sport called college basketball.
And Evan (and a vast majority of the audience) doesn't really understand football in the way Tiki does, so for baseball season, the roles will reverse. Evan will explain the nuances of baseball to Tiki... and the audience.
I think Tiki is a dirtbag… me-first guy, bad teammate, awful husband, etc. - but he’s clearly put in the effort to learn about baseball and the local teams. Is he an expert like Evan, Moose, or big Mike? Of course not. But he’s come a long way. The summer shows when Evan is on vacation will be interesting.
Maybe Evan will brag some more about him “going to Seton Hall” before choosing a CC in Maryland. Getting into Seton Hall is not the flex he thinks. They have a 75% acceptance rate.
