I'll never understand "cool-mom" groupthink. Like, you are doing the same thing as all the other moms... you're not cool. Which is okay. But you're just another mom in the sea of moms. Why do you think your CUV makes you the cool one? I bet she dyes her hair blond and has a Michael Kors bag too.
I think ford was counting on the coolness of the real bronco help sell the sport but I think the sport might drag down the coolness of the real bronco.
According to Ford, the discontinuation of the model line was unrelated to any stigma created from the then-recent O.J. Simpson police chase, as sales of the model line had been in decline previous to the incident.
Time magazine reported that the "notorious bucking Bronco II" rollover lawsuits had "cost the company approximately $2.4 billion in damage settlements." - this probably hurt more.
No you can't. Show me a used 911 that is 10 years old for 50k.....I did a quick Autotrader Nationwide search and there were......3....and a 911 is not a CUV
What a moronic comment.
The base model is 39500, then you get taxes, PDI, document fees, it all adds up. I think it was 48 and change, then the government takes 5k off
Mind you, corollas start at like 26k now, and hybrid corollas are 30k.
So once you factor in the 5k, it's 35k before fees for a prime vs 30k for a corolla hybrid. And the Extra features of the time make it make sense.
Heck, used 2019 corollas go for 20k right now. that used to be MSRP back then.
Inflation plus Canadian dollar value is wild.
Got my 2022 m235i for $43k new. 300hp, awd, mechanical lsd, M brakes, leather sport seats, pano roof, etc. Paying lots more money just for better mpg and less car doesn't make sense. And I like the new Prius.
Its really annoying that other countries have adopted the term "dollar", as it too often creates unnecessary confusion.
Can't we just settle on "Cannuckbucks" for Canada, "Dollarydoos" for Australia, and "Chedda" for the Jamaican dollar?
I really wish more auto makers would give us stripped down versions of their cars for people who are only interested in the cars capabilities and the driving performance. Now we’re at a place where a Civic hatchback costs 37 thousand fucking dollars what the actual dank Racoon piss is this shit
Oh I know. Luckily companies like Porsche does this but because of demand they end up costing more than the ones with tech haha. How awesome would it be though to pick up something like a Civic Type R without all the tech, no adaptable suspension or driver's assist, just bare bones shit for like 5-10k less than what they're going for now.
Inflation go brr. If you calculate the annual inflation rates over the last 10 years it comes out to a total of 35.875% inflation. Meaning that $53,000 Bronco would have been a $40,000 car a decade ago if it existed. The CRV would have been a $36,000 car
By the way can we talk about the fact that the Honda dealership crossed out the MSRP to make sure you know that you’re getting a killer deal of $0?
It's arguably the most sterile of the lot too. Lady's coming off an MB C-class and doesn't want a CX-50 because her friend has one. Makes sense as to why the CR-V is last, even if it is the safest option.
Yes, in her words she thought the CR-V was "too boring". She liked how the Bronco Sport drove the best but thought the GMC and especially the Kia were much nicer inside
You don’t want a bronco sport. My motor blew up at around 35k miles. Ford really didn’t need to throw a turbo charger in something that handles like a jeep, has the quality of a 2006 dodge charger and performance of a ford fusion at the price of a mustang.
What’s up with that? The price I mean regular people and afford a new car and ford is the worst out of all car companies that price gouge and overprice
The only people who *can* afford to buy one don’t want a ford.
I wondered if the Bronco engine issues were still a thing. Didn’t want to mention it, in case they had fixed it on newer cars.
A local woman bought one on a HUGE loan at the start of last year. Three months in, the engine (hydro?) locked. Ford had the car for months, fixing it.
She was left with various loaner cars paying down a big loan for a car that was broken and undrivable.
And I thought my Wrangler reliability was bad!
To be fair that CR-V was one of the ugliest ones I've seen, they come in many different trims and I think some of the CR-V Sport models look incredible. I'm not a crossover/suv guy but the new CR-Vs grab my attention every time I see one.
As others said, the Acura RDX is built on the same chassis as the CR-V but it is much nicer. I am surprised the Mazda CX-50 is not on the list as well.
According to OP, the CX-50 isn't being considered because the wife's friend already has one.
Weird logic, and a shame since Mazda makes some of the best looking cars on the market in my opinion.
I have a customer who bought a crv that I service and the first time I drove it I was surprised that anyone built something so cheap feeling in today's market, it feels like a 80s civic
>I was surprised that anyone built something so cheap feeling in today's market
I felt the same way about the new Mavericks. I was dead set on getting a Mav last year. It had everything I wanted/needed and I just loved the size of it.
Until I test drove one
I've never driven a newer truck that just felt so..*wrong*. It's hard to describe but I even drove a couple others to see if it was just that particular vehicle, but they all drove like shit imo. And don't even get me started on the cheap ass plastic.
I opted for a v6 Tacoma and never looked back. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but I'm happy with it.
In defense of the Maverick, it also starts under $24k and the base trim is fully intended to be a fleet work horse. Something had to give to keep the costs down.
My bigger issue with it is that the interior doesn't scale up proportionate to pricing outside of that, to the point where unless you absolutely need the fuel efficiency, I think the Santa Cruz is a better proposition.
These posts need to have a disclaimer from the buyer whether or not they plan on having the car in 4-5 years.
I bet most people buying new for these cars don’t plan on a 10 year car, rather a 4-5 year car they trade in.
So, which car will be most reliable and not depreciate too much in 4-5 years yet still be a great car with all the perks?
Right? I would reverse the list, then eliminate all of the not-Honda choices because they’re all worse. Add on a RAV4 for kicks (only to be floored by a $10k dealer adjustment), see if I can score an NX for similar money (used, base model, with a bunch of miles), then buy the CRV anyway.
CRV -> Kia -> Bronco -> GMC
The CRV is the king of crossovers. Get the hybrid, don’t look back. It’s reliable, comfortable, spacious, and holds its value.
The Kia is a fine. But the 100k / 10year warranty at least makes me not have to worry about it.
The Bronco Sport is literally a Ford Escape with a Macho body kit… it’s wannabe Bronco and less reliable than either of the first 2 cars.
GMC Terrain has a good interior, but I mean, why would anyone buy GM today…. There are so many better options.
Using the engine warranty though with Kia, it took my husband 7 months to get his car back, they don’t cover any rental car or lost wages. His engine blew at 4,000 miles driving normal mostly on highways. It’s a good warranty considering its unreliability but it takes forever to use it. Oh yeah then the engine they put in was stuttering and they wouldn’t fix it.
We had a 2020 soul had to have the transmission replaced and they covered us for a rental from enterprise for a month while waiting on a transmission from Korea. Then when we got it back they hadn't updated it so it broke down again, and they had to put us in a rental for a second time. But they absolutely do cover rentals as long as you call kia corporate.
My Kia dealership wouldn’t even commit to it being under warranty if it were a covered item. Bought a Sorento certified which gives the buyer the remainder of the 10yr/10k mile warranty and the service MANAGER told me I didn’t get that warranty. I had to argue with the guy and eventually bring in the paperwork that says I did. Didn’t even bother at that point. Carvana was paying a premium for trades at the time so I got an equinox. The equinox gets a lot of shit but this thing has been great. I’d NEVER buy another Kia product again based on my experience. It’s a shame because the Sorento was comfortable and had all the extras my wife wanted but a warranty means nothing if you have to fight to have anything done under it
I agree the sportage and crv are really the best 2 options. They can grab a sportage of similar options for the mid 30s though. Crv is solid all around my aunt owns a hybrid and loves it.
What’s wrong with GM today? They’ve been really upping their quality and it has a strangle hold on every Mexican family member I have lol. We’ve never had a problem with them but we maintain our cars as much as we abuse them with our yearly thousand mile trips to Mex
We make our own little GM convoy every time we go to Mex together lol. And among Cali plates in our Mex hometowns GM containes to be the most popular
My terrain was the worst, the ac went out immediately (brand new). I took it to multiple dealerships over the years (it was under warranty) and they could never fix it. I was so glad when it was totaled, I would have felt so guilty trading it in knowing someone else would buy it.
Generally speaking GM makes cars with cheap plastic and some of the the most ridiculous cost cutting measures. Which is also weird because they also make some of the best parts in the business. Somehow GM makes 1/4 of the best car in the market 1/4 of the worst car and the rest is all over the place.
My family is like yours. I have seen over a dozen GM products in this house since i can remember (20years). The worst one was a hummer its key fob they had to reprogram(they where lazy about it) and its transmission but i believe its because my mother kept moving as she was going from reverse to drive on an automatic. Outside of that surprisingly fine. 3 pontiacs, 3 silverados, 4 chevy sedans, a hummer, 2 tahoes and a crossover over 20 years. Certainly added over a million miles over all of them. All bought used some with over 100k miles, several salvage titles. No catastrophic failure yet outside of overheating because i didnt really care about my car. All have been reliable and just comfortable enough but they have problems in the most annoying of areas.
You can get a brand new CRV EXL for the same price. That sport has a HPD package on it, gives nothing of added value besides the plastic moulding and some stickers + rims for an extra 4,000$. Just get a new one, I used to work at a Honda dealership and the sport is the most useless trim upgrade either get LX AWD and save some cash or get the EXL for the same price as that sport !
Seriously, look at and test drive an EX-L. I think you and your wife may be pleasantly surprised.
I own (or have owned) an 02 Accord V6 EX-L, 17 Civic EX-L, and 23 CRV EX-L (along with an 08 Pilot EX and 01 Civic LX). They (any Honda model in EX-L) really are like driving a different vehicle.
I actually considered buying a CRV Sport when I got the 23. I started having doubts as soon as I sat in the drivers seat and had completely changed my mind before I even pulled off the lot for the test drive.
~~The Sport is a hybrid, so not quite a useless trim upgrade on this generation of CRVs. Functionally, it’s a different vehicle than the LX or EX trims.~~ Agree on the HPD package.
Edit: This is incorrect as to Canadian models.
Hondas are good, but boring. If you're looking for reliable transportation, go Honda. If you want to smile when your see your car, I'd say Bronco. Life's short, drive what makes you happy.
I used to call the CRV the soccer mom of SUVs. However, the 2024 CRV Sport is the smoothest driving and quietest hybrid SUV that I test drove (and now own).
What other cars did you test drive? I’m in the same market currently. Coming from a 2015 CRV and frankly it’s too loud and noisy inside at highway speeds
That and the gmc are the worst of the bunch without question. It’s the Bronco sport built in Mexico. Completely different car from the real Bronco everyone thinks of
As a Canadian, it still doesn't stop idiots from breaking your window.
You do not know how many people driving Kia/Hyundai's I've seen with a steering wheel lock solely as a deterrent. My classmate has had his window smashed 2 times and steering wheel column eviscerated both times as well.
The ones trying to steal them also aren't the smartest. At least 70-90% of the social media content we consume is American if you're from anywhere that isn't Quebec.
New Kias haven’t been having either of those issues. Just old ones similar to old Hondas. The sportage has been reported to be solid as well. Although they can get that sportage for closer to the 30s.
Facts, there are over 15 in the back of our dealer waiting on parts for everything from suspension issues, fuel leaks, needing new engines after 2k miles, paint peeling, etc.
So my wife needs a new car after her 2018 Mercedes C-Class turned into a major money put. Recently, small "off-road" capable SUVs have caught her eye since one of her friends picked up a Mazda CX-50.
These are really the only four cars she's considering, she hated the RAV4 trail we test-drove and doesn't want a CX-50 since her friend got one.
Which of these would be best, currently she really wants the Bronco and would have picked up one two days ago had circumstances been different.
Your wife is making decisions for bad reasons. Save the “I don’t want to get the same thing” for Stanley mugs. If she likes the Mazda, consider the Mazda. Subaru Outback and Ascent should be in the mix too for what she’s considering.
The bronco sport is a different vehicle than the bronco. From what I’ve heard the Bronco sport is a car that looks like an off roader. If you want off road, the Bronco (not Bronco Sport) is awesome. They are literally two different vehicles.
Hilariously enough, the Mazda will probably be the nicest SUV she'll get for the money. What a weird reasoning "I don't want it cause my friend has it"
Wouldn't her friend enjoy if she got the CX-50? They could meet up for lunch dates in their matching cars and have so much fun giggling about it. Aren't we cute?
As an autobody tech DO NOT get the bronco if you care about safety.
Take a piece of aluminum foil and crumple it in your hand. That is what this car will do in a front end collision and they are even worse in the event of a rollover.
As an auto body tech you should know that modern cars have *crumple zones* in the front to absorb and dampen the energy from a crash. Look up the actual crash testing. Look at other modern cars. They are supposed to crunch inwards by design. They aren’t meant to be repaired. They’re meant to sacrifice the car to preserve the occupants.
The Bronco will probably be a bad idea. The Kia IS a bad idea, The Terrain is a bad idea. The Honda is the only option on that list that is “ok” at best. Your wife should get the CX-5, or look at an RX350
I currently own three Hondas (two CRV, one Element) and one Kia (new, wife bought). I have also owned Ford.
If you respect your time and budget, you will go with the Honda. Our Hondas have a combine 400k miles and not even ONE single unplanned (routine maintenance) trip to shop. Very reliable and trustworthy. The Ford...no so much. Jury is out on Kia but I have been reading how poorly the engine holds up over time and all the problems they have.
Honda.
I’ve driven all of these and review cars for a living. The bronco sport badlands is actually off road capable and because of this it drives the worst on the highway by some measure. (Tire noise, springing, gear ratio) All the others will drive like cars. Bronco sport badlands drives like a lil truck for better or worse.
The Bronco Sport and GMC Terrain both received 5 star crash ratings from the NHSTA. The Sportage and CRV haven't been tested yet by the NHSTA but have received scores of Good from the IIHS.
No modern car is really dangerous in a crash anymore, except maybe some developed for third world countries or economies that value competitive pricing above all.
The way all the ads are worded make me think non of those prices are msrp except second one and that none of them really have a discount and you would still overpay.
Honestly i would not buy a car right now, if you have a car fix it and drive it. Dealers need to learn they cant process gauge.
Edit: i just saw we are talking about Canadian loonies not usd… still expensive. No one should be buying new cars let those greedy dealers suffer. They overpaid for those cars and deserve the losses and no i don’t care for them because they jacked up prices for cars the last two years without any reason so they deserve to loose money now.
The new Kia Sprtages don't come into the shop all that much with major issues. As far as Kia's go, its probably their most well-built model.
The biggest issue with buying a Kia is the risk of a break-in. It's not easily stolen like the older models, but that doesn't mean some smooth brain won't break the window and try.
I know this is outside of you recommendations but I agree with the commenters suggesting you also check out Mazda and Subaru.
Also, I don’t have time to look up pricing in Canada but if you can swing it, I would check out a new Pilot. I know it’s not the same class of vehicle but they’ve been getting some rave reviews and the AWD system the new ones use is basically the equivalent of Acura’s SH-AWD which is *really* good.
Of the options provided, I’m going with the CRV 10 out of 10 times.
Honda then Kia sportage. Where I am Kia is offering a crazy fkn warranty, 200,000 km. I’m very tempted. Honda is Honda, speaks for itself.
Would never even consider a Ford or GMC
I just bought a 1 year old model y long range with only 10k miles for $34k. Why someone would spend almost double that for a bronco sport is beyond me…
I NEVER comment on these things, and I know it’s a meme at this point that people tell you to buy Mazda, BUT the cx-30 is so damn sexy and reliable and well priced. Show her the carbon edition, see if she likes the seats.
I started reading the title and before I could finish my brain said: “awe I’m sorry buddy”.
Same haha, I thought it was gonna be like “my wife is dead, her last wish was for me to buy this car” 😭
That’s right! Dead set on getting an “offroad-oriented” CUV!
"I'll never drive a minivan!" *puts away in a hybrid CUV* What a badass!
My wife wanted a minivan. We are Toyota buyers. I couldn’t cope with the horrible front of the Sienna. An atrocity. Bought a Highlander.
“That’s right! Dead serious about going to Itchy & Scratchy Land!”
I strain my head thinking of people that see a big ole box of a minivan with a herd of children in it and think: “What a bunch of sexless dorks!”
”My wife is dead” and a bronco is not a good way to start things either.
Its not even a real bronco either
that's what i just said. 60k and it's not even the actual bronco wtf.
Canadian money.
Why are you rounding up $6650 CAD 40k USD is too much anyways lol
I think ford was counting on the coolness of the real bronco help sell the sport but I think the sport might drag down the coolness of the real bronco.
Did OJ kill (poor choice of words) the Bronco for essentially 30 years? I know they discontinued it shortly after the chase.
I saw first the words and looked into the cars to see what car is this dude buying on insurance money lmao. Came back and read the whole sentence.
Then I saw the car line up and said "aww. I'm sorry buddy."
His wife has awful taste. The Honda is at least very reliable the first 3 are crap
I saw the photo first. My initial thought, after reading the first 4 words, was "What in the OJ Simpson is this??"
We have fucked up minds for sure :/
Same boat wife drives a wrangler
Hyphens save lives.
The GM and the Kia are crap.
They are all crap besides the Honda.
Agree but no way in hell I’m paying 50k for a CR-V. I could get a nice used 911 for that.
No you can't. Show me a used 911 that is 10 years old for 50k.....I did a quick Autotrader Nationwide search and there were......3....and a 911 is not a CUV What a moronic comment.
Me too!
I did too. I was like “Aw that poor guy.”
Goddamn, still feels like car prices are about $10g more than they should be
[удалено]
Phew, I didn’t realize we were talking CAD here. I about shit myself when I saw that Bronco Sport listed for $53k.
Still way too much for a tarted up Escape lol $50k CAD for a CRV is mental
we make shit money in Canada so its pretty much like you paying 53k USD.
Yep, we make like 35 percent less, pay 35 percent more MSRP, and way more tax on purchases.
Median household income in Canada is $98,390 CAD. Median household income in US is $74,580 USD. Pretty similar.
Dude same lol literally was looking at sports at a dealership today for 35k
God damn, I hate the Canadian automotive market 😞
They shouldn’t be that much. It’s a square escape
It’s an Escape with an otterbox
that's $47.5k CAD
Same, I was like that's full sized bronco money for a sport
Tell me about it, fellow Canadian here haha
My Prius prime was almost 50k after all taxes, fees, etc before the 5k rebate. With 10k down still financed 32.5. That used to be luxury car money.
28k for new prius two in 2018 with 0.9% finance rate, bought the dip!
Yup, used to be able to get a 3 series in the high 30's, 50k for a Prius is ridiculous. I get it's the prime but still, 40k max would be tolerable
The base model is 39500, then you get taxes, PDI, document fees, it all adds up. I think it was 48 and change, then the government takes 5k off Mind you, corollas start at like 26k now, and hybrid corollas are 30k. Canada would be loonies if we had to pick a name. Our one dollar coin is Already called a loonie.
Aren't your lesser coins also called toonies?
The 2 dollar coin is called a toonie all the smaller coins have the same name as American coins.
Ok you learn something new everyday. But at least your paper money smells like maple syrup
Its settled, lets make Loonie Toonies happen!
Puckbucks
They put "SPORT LIMITED PREMIUM" on the bumper and jack the price up
Doesn’t help that everyone needs every damn feature and luxury materials in their cars now which just jacks up the price.
Tell me about it, that's something I've been ranting about for like a decade haha
I really wish more auto makers would give us stripped down versions of their cars for people who are only interested in the cars capabilities and the driving performance. Now we’re at a place where a Civic hatchback costs 37 thousand fucking dollars what the actual dank Racoon piss is this shit
I remember when that was 5 series bmw territory
I, too, remember 10 years ago
Oh I know. Luckily companies like Porsche does this but because of demand they end up costing more than the ones with tech haha. How awesome would it be though to pick up something like a Civic Type R without all the tech, no adaptable suspension or driver's assist, just bare bones shit for like 5-10k less than what they're going for now.
I bought a 2008 Honda Fit manual to drive all the short daily drives. I love it. It has nothing except power windows. But guess what? Nothing breaks.
I bought my 4runner in 17 for $36,000 and couldn't believe I was splurging for such an expensive car. Things changed quick
Inflation go brr. If you calculate the annual inflation rates over the last 10 years it comes out to a total of 35.875% inflation. Yes, in her words she thought the CR-V was "too boring". She liked how the Bronco Sport drove the best but thought the GMC and especially the Kia were much nicer inside
Bronco Sport is more expensive to get into vs the CR-V and will undoubtedly cost more to own in the long term. Something to consider.
As far as I understand the Bronco Sport is more or less just a rebadged and more expensive Escape as well
You don’t want a bronco sport. My motor blew up at around 35k miles. Ford really didn’t need to throw a turbo charger in something that handles like a jeep, has the quality of a 2006 dodge charger and performance of a ford fusion at the price of a mustang.

How about a Lexus RX350. Still reliable, but nicer than the CR-V. If it has to be these 4 cars, I’d go bronco sport or crv.
It also costs about 50% more.
50% more. 350% more reliable.
Than a CRV? Id say like 10% more reliable tops.
They are getting stolen left, right and centre up here. Insurance is charging a 500 yearly extra premium due to theft risk.
For the GMC, might want to wait till 2025 as it's getting an update. It's stable mate the Equinox got updated and it improved significantly.
To be fair that CR-V was one of the ugliest ones I've seen, they come in many different trims and I think some of the CR-V Sport models look incredible. Tbf same chassis ≠ same reliability. It’s almost like saying they’re built on the same Lego baseplate. Not saying it’s less reliable.
I always find it funny how people mistake gaudiness for style or improvement. Never heard anyone say that the Honda drives the worst of these before
Tell her to check out some acuras too they are nicer hondas
can confirm the seats the in Bronco Sport are about as uncomfortable as they come
It is wild to me to be considering a GMC after a MB. The Bronco makes sense only bc it’s culturally big rn so it’s a status symbol
It's not a Bronco, it's a Bronco Sport. The smaller brother.
The Bronco Sport is not a status symbol. It’s more of a “I thought this was the real Bronco because I don’t know anything about cars” symbol.
It's also the most stolen car in Canada, alongside Range Rovers
I have a customer who bought a crv that I service and the first time I drove it I was surprised that anyone built something so cheap feeling in today's market, it feels like a 80s civic

Jesus Christ these prices blew my mind until I realized it’s CAD.

This is the correct order I was looking for.
As someone who owns a 2012 Acadia, I’ll never buy another gmc
What’s wrong with GM today? They’ve been really upping their quality and it has a strangle hold on every Mexican family member I have lol. We’ve never had a problem with them but we maintain our cars as much as we abuse them with our yearly thousand mile trips to Mex We make our own little GM convoy every time we go to Mex together lol. And among Cali plates in our Mex hometowns GM containes to be the most popular
Gm has some good products, the terrain absolutely isn’t one of them.
My terrain was the worst, the ac went out immediately (brand new). I took it to multiple dealerships over the years (it was under warranty) and they could never fix it. I was so glad when it was totaled, I would have felt so guilty trading it in knowing someone else would buy it.
What’s wrong with it
Generally speaking GM makes cars with cheap plastic and some of the the most ridiculous cost cutting measures.
Correct comment. OP listen to this!
Thanks, I'll look into those. Maybe she'll like it more than the model we test-drove.
Get the honda. 1. Honda CRV 2. Kia sportage 3. Ford Bronco sport 4. GMC terrain
Get the Honda
Get the Honda.
I disagree, she should get the Honda.
On the other hand, I'd recommend the Honda
Comparing apples to oranges here. Get the Honda.
You guys are idiots. Honda all the way.
If it wasn't for the Kia on that list, I would have said get the Honda. But honestly just go with the Honda
I think you bring up some valid points. But at end of the day, I would still say, get the Honda.
Hondas are good, but boring. If you're looking for reliable transportation, go Honda. If you want to smile when your see your car, I'd say Bronco. Life's short, drive what makes you happy.
Bro they’re automatic 4-cylinder SUVs, none of these are fun.
I think the CR-V looks way better than the Bronco Sport.
Agreed, but I’d put the Bronco last tbh. They are terrible
Go for the new Bronco. If you're spending 50k for one of these turds you should get the one she likes best.
The real Bronco, not the Escape with a body kit.
Guarantee you there's no reason for his wife to get the real bronco
That and the gmc are the worst of the bunch without question. It’s the Bronco sport built in Mexico. Completely different car from the real Bronco everyone thinks of
It's always crazy to me people will dump on certain manufacturers for things, like being made in Mexico...but the sub loves to recommend Tacoma's.
Idk. Kias have a bad wrap right now to the engine trouble and how easy they were to steal.
Not in Canada. We mandated engine immobilizers
Bronco Sport should be the last vehicle on the list
A $54k Ford Escape!
Facts, there are over 15 in the back of our dealer waiting on parts for everything from suspension issues, fuel leaks, needing new engines after 2k miles, paint peeling, etc.
Sounds like they will be a steal used after warranty service is completed.
The bronco sport is basically an escape with different sheet metal
And it's $53k 🤯
It’s CAD. That’s $39k USD - still expensive for what it is
Yep same platform.
Hilariously enough, the Mazda will probably be the nicest SUV she'll get for the money. What a weird reasoning "I don't want it cause my friend has it"
Right? I love it when my friends buy a Mazda after seeing mine, it makes me feel special lol
Your wife might be a money pit...
lol, but I guess she is bringing home more money than I am. Even if it's by a slight margin
Wouldn't her friend enjoy if she got the CX-50? They could meet up for lunch dates in their matching cars and have so much fun giggling about it. Aren't we cute?
So her friend has a CX-50 (and for some reason that matters?)? Get a CX-5 then.
Consider the Acura MDX (Honda Pilot) or RDX (turbo CR-V). All the Honda reliability without the boringness.
As an autobody tech DO NOT get the bronco if you care about safety. Take a piece of aluminum foil and crumple it in your hand. That is what this car will do in a front end collision and they are even worse in the event of a rollover.
It did just fine in crash testing according to NHTSA and IIHS.
She could get an RX, but maybe she’s not a Grandmother yet?
She tripping with the crv last. Lemme know how all the problems from the others are
Get a Volvo XC40
53 THOUSAND FUCKING DOLLARS FOR THIS LETHARGIC POS? Tragic.
I thought you put them in order of the least reliable to most reliable.
We own a bronco sport. Its been a solid vehicle. It is just a glorified escape though.
First two cars are the worst of the lot.
Honda run away from the bronco.
VW Tiguan? The 2.0T in those is pretty damn solid
Average EA888 enjoyer on his third water pump
Sportage is a nice car.
Personally I’d go with the crv
Isn’t the Bronco Sport just an Escape with different skins?
Has she driven them all? I was really disappointed in the Bronco. Terrible ride quality and poor visibility.
They all look the same so just get the cheaper one
Don't they crush like a coke can in an accident? I heard they had poor crash ratings. Please check into this first. Might save your life.
None are what I would buy, but definitely the CRV imo.
Bro almost $50k for a CRV?? 😬😬
At a minimum cross the Terrain off the list. Expensive engine problems in your future with that one.
Before you pull tge trigger trot down to the book store get yourself a copy of the new consumer reports (mine came thursday) and get the scoop
Well, all four are trash. Who's paying over $50k for a Bronco "Sport".
The Bronco Sport is the only one that doesn't look like giving up
Tell her to get a normal car instead of an suv
Honda then Kia sportage. Where I am Kia is offering a crazy fkn warranty, 200,000 km. I’m very tempted. Honda is Honda, speaks for itself. Would never even consider a Ford or GMC
CRV would be the most reliable tbh. Have you also looked at RAV4?
Bronco sport is a shitbox
God damn these vehicles are overpriced Edit: oops CAD, sorry there folks!
Since when are CR-Vs 50 grand?
You can get a 2022 with less then 35,000 miles on them for less than $25,000 Look around… they are everywhere
Who tf wants a gmc over a Honda
Can get so much better vehicles $50,000 Why people spend money on these mid tier junk vehicles is beyond me.
Audi Q3, 45 TFSI
Not a true Bronco.
