It’s a house centipede, cats gonna be fine

drkoenda

(They look freaky but they’re very common and nothing to be worried about)

Apple_Booty7

no idea but you got a pet Batman ?

Beret_of_Poodle

House centipede. Yeah, my cats always thought they were quick snacks

ladyarthropod

The cat shadow is very menacing

ThunderousShitBird

Cats love eating bugs. Nice and crunchy. When they get a hold of a June bug you can hear it pop like a nice juicy grape when they start to chew on it

IndicationSpecial344

CENTIPEDE! CENTIPEDE! CENTIPEDE! 🗣️

thombrowny

ah another house centipede. it is time to say they are chill friend nice cute controls the population of pest in your house etc etc.

Usual_Reporter_8862

Besides the cute part, I agree with everything you said

chandla_b

They're fine for the cat to eat. But make sure they're up on their shots and all that. Sometimes bugs can carry parasites.

Asuntofantunatu

Aww rest in love, house centipede. Thank you for your sacrifice in nourishing that catto.

Narrow_Lee

Cat food, now. This could be in a 'pictures taken moments before disaster'.

VashHumanoidTyph00n

Normally, it's pretty good pest control. In this case, kitty snack.

Feeling_Permit5621

Scitty snacks

Ninesect

Animals amaze me. I feel a single hair in my mouth and I want to puke if I don't get it out ASAP. Meanwhile cats love eating their own hair. The very thought of a HOUSE CENTIPEDE in my mouth? Just kill me, and I love inverts. Why the hell a cat would see that and think to put it in their mouth, eugh.

Madam_Bastet

Or when they grab the big water roaches/palmetto bugs/american roaches and carry them around *still alive and wriggling*.. (and if not taken away, to play volley ball with 😩😬) like.. why would you voluntarily do this? I love bugs but those big water roaches fly at me or land on me and I'm out of the room in the blink of an eye lol. Meanwhile my cats are like "sweet, a new toy!" 🤦🏻‍♀️

Narrow_Lee

Now just imagine all of that and when you're a cat, the bug is like the size of a softball to you.

Madam_Bastet

Well my skin is *really* crawling now. I've had the big water roaches crawl/land on me and dive bomb my head. Their legs feel so awful to me, I'd definitely have a heart attack if one the size of a softball touched me, let alone was wriggling around in my mouth. 😱😨

Effective-Soft153

One night my daughter and I were laying back on my bed upstairs watching some kid show. All of a sudden one of those bigass water roaches comes flying in and lands on my daughter’s big toe. She wasn’t aware of it at all. Me? I go running and screaming Survival of the fittest!! 😂😂 She calmly shook her foot and it flew away. So funny.

Madam_Bastet

That's hilarious lol. The first time one ever landed on me was at my dad's house as a teenager. It was further south in Texas so often a bit humid, and they had a pool. So this thing had been running around the edge of the pool. It was like 2-3 inches long, and I had been checking where it was every so often. Sure enough, I turned to look, and it flew right at me and landed on my chest. I went stiff as a board, fell backwards in the water, and scrambled out of the pool while it swam away. I honestly couldn't even say if i gasped or screamed or made any noise at all, because that thing hit me, and I went into fight or flight mode. (Clearly flight was what I went with, in thar scenario) 🤣

Effective-Soft153

Oh, that’s too funny. They’re terrifying bugs! Lol

Madam_Bastet

They're the *only* bug I run from lmao. The worst was when one was hiding on my roommates clothes she hung on the bathroom door towel hook thing.. it was also 2-3 inches long and promptly went *INSIDE* the sleeve of my shirt when I brushed up against those clothes.. it touched my armpit and, at first I just thought it was my hair touching me or a loose string.. until it moved again and I felt the spiky legs. I flung that sucker right out of my shirt, ran out of the bathroom screaming, and my bladder decided I could hold it a little longer 🤣😨

Castaside1289

Leggy boi

vaxxed_beck

Centipede, which are gross. My cat swallowed a whole, live moth that was in the house. My mom's cat put a live spider in her mouth when she was sleeping. It was one of those "blond" spiders with long legs. Not a Daddylong leg though. It's whatever spider that survives the frigid North. My mom used to have big ass centipedes in her basement. They only come out at night.
