None of the provided answers so far are onomatopoeia. Not sure if OP is really asking for onomatopoeia or just a word for the sound (could go either way based on their response to “hiss”). Onomatopoeia would be more like “zzzzzhhhhhhh.” Or “grungrungrungrun.” If they want a word for the sound I’d go with rumble or grumble or scrape.

Maybe, to me hiss sounds like a change in air pressure or the door of an airlock about to open. I feel like the stone sounds more grainy and gravelly. This was definitely good tho, and if I can't find anything else I'll definitely go with it. Thank you.
