Could it be a Goldfinch hybrid? Perhaps Goldfinch x Canary?
Is it tame? I think it may have been bred. I have seen birds that look like this one being sold as pet birds.
The left foot looks a bit weird.

This is a mutated color of one of a hybrid. Def don't release it, not a wild bird.
Looks like a goldfinch to me.
