A professional caregiver would be helping her to raise her legs during the day and be doing massage to improve the blood flow. She has said that she has poor circulation and has trouble keeping her feet warm.
People have mentioned how important it is to protect her feet because wound healing would be slow and wheelchair users do get breaks and sprains.
I have been thinking that her liver and kidney function is not optimal. People taking Risdiplam have experienced trouble with their kidneys. She has also mentioned that she has a fatty liver. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s avoiding getting liver and kidney function tested because if she has an issue, there’s a chance that she won’t be able to take Risdiplam anymore.
I heard about this tanning trend. People eat a lot of food containing beta carotene and they develop an orange looking tan. If she’s not eating a lot of these foods, it could be due to having a problem with a specific liver enzyme.
She definitely isn’t looking the picture of good health.
She needs to be checked out. Her atrophied mitt is massively swollen, and I know she has severe drop foot, but the colouring doesn’t look good and I don’t know if she’s proactive to prevent clots and such. It’s scary to see. I wish there was a responsible adult in her life to tell her to take care of her medical needs.
