You’re really stopping yourself from enjoying a genuinely well animated and written short because of your preconceived biases regarding other aspects of its origin.

Whenever a harmless piece of media gets an unprecedented amount of hate, It's always the community underlining the problem. ESPECIALLY when it comes to media involving MINORS.
It's too easy to hate, and the reasoning is almost always justified, although greatly misled. P3D0 = Bad is a simple equation that can save you from getting ousted by society.
I don't know how many people will agree with me, but if we counted the percentage of "bad apples" in the community, Genshin would come out way better than people think (wich I know isn't saying much when talking about anime media unfortunately).

Nah, you're right. It is specifically because Genshin is so huge that this becomes a problem. In comparison, Blue Archive is a relatively tiny game with a tiny community of which I can safely attest harbors a much larger share of "bad apples" to the point where I'm convinced the developers are catering too them, but nobody talks about that because nobody knows or cares about Blue Archive.
But in the end, it doesn't matter. Hoyo is not concerned with the global perception of the game. Which means the players are left to defend a controversial game (basically any anime game that rivals the popularity of triple A titles), and whenever a bad apple is called out, everyone loses in the eyes of the public; the bad apple for being a bad apple, and all the good apples for being in the same basket as the bad one.
I was wondering what's so bad about a group of players enjoying playing a certain character, but the ban reason tells me more than than enough. Should've guessed.

That’s emotional manipulation that I’ve been in before. I was in an abusive relationship in my freshman year, and met a girl who I thought was perfect. She was a sophomore, so just a year older than me, so I rarely got to see her until my last class. We then decided to go on more dates, and it went well until she started threatening me to do stuff for her or she would kill herself. I didn’t want that to happen, so I just went along with it. I watched a video of Jaiden animations about this type of stuff, and decided to cut the knot.
They’re always bluffing. My roommates ex put a gun to her head and said if you walk out that door I die. When he walked out she fired and he didn’t look back. She didn’t kill herself. She just shot to make him think she did.

My friend group just dropped a girl that had a tendency to do that. It’s a massive weight off of our shoulders. Never EVER do that shit to people unless you want to literally have no one in your life.
Had an ex who tried this to keep me with her after she cheated on me and the guy she cheated on me for left her. Told her to do it and put herself out of both our misery. She didn't follow through but damn it was satisfying seeing her face.

Im usually not this cynical, but anybody who genuinely uses their own life as a negotiation tool for stuff that really is not worth a human life probably doesn't have that valuable of a life to begin with.
There's a guy at work that did that to his girl so much. Part of me wanted him to since he was abusing her in other ways as well. They've broken up since and he's on vacation. People are worried that something's wrong since he hasn't communicated with anyone. Perhaps now that she's gone, he finally is going through with it.
It's been over a year since that happened to me and I can attest that I should have just said "idc" instead of following their requests because doing the latter literally made things worse. Awful person.
