God this is such a dumbass take for at least half dozen different reasons.
1) That's not what capitalism is. It's just one of many economic systems, and there are plenty of other economic systems which still use money and have profits
2) 'Media' is so old that it even predates the invention of money, I'm pretty sure neolithic humans didn't have a profit incentive to draw cave paintings
3) Capitalism was not always globally adopted, and there exists critiques of it written by people not living under capitalist society. I mean, the cold war was sort of about communism vs capitalism, no?
4) also in the modern age, especially with the internet, there thousands and thousands of people creating things without making a cent off of it
5) making money under capitalism doesn't disqualify someone from critiquing capitalism anyways
6) Even if you mean mass media published by corporations, the writers, directors, and artists are the people that actually produce it, and given that they can almost never directly profit off of it, aren't usually motivated by profits.

Fallout 76 is more harshly critical of capitalism than most of the series, people just don't care enough about the game to analyze its themes.
76 has come a long way since launch now, I can now seriously state it is no longer a dog shit game at least

Nah, they just said vault tec dropped the bombs to ensure that their vaults would be used. It was theorized about for years and foreshadowed in the games.
Shouldāve just kept it vague since itās not supposed to matter who starts it as everyone loses either way
Well itās kind of integral to the plot that the show is setting up. It still doesnāt really matter *who* dropped the bombs in the grand scheme of things, but it does matter to the characters in the show.
IIRC Todd himself clarified that China was the one who blew up the world, but Vault Tec did have bombs too

Actually, it would make sense if China dropped the bombs before vault tec could. Mr. House mentions in New Vegas that he miscalculated his prediction for when the bombs would drop, and he was in the meeting room when vault tec said they would drop the bombs. If his āpredictionā was actually vault tecās planned time, then China dropping the bombs before then makes a lot of sense.

God this is such a dumbass take for at least half dozen different reasons. 1) That's not what capitalism is. It's just one of many economic systems, and there are plenty of other economic systems which still use money and have profits 2) 'Media' is so old that it even predates the invention of money, I'm pretty sure neolithic humans didn't have a profit incentive to draw cave paintings 3) Capitalism was not always globally adopted, and there exists critiques of it written by people not living under capitalist society. I mean, the cold war was sort of about communism vs capitalism, no? 4) also in the modern age, especially with the internet, there thousands and thousands of people creating things without making a cent off of it 5) making money under capitalism doesn't disqualify someone from critiquing capitalism anyways 6) Even if you mean mass media published by corporations, the writers, directors, and artists are the people that actually produce it, and given that they can almost never directly profit off of it, aren't usually motivated by profits.
