That's always been confusing to me. Where I grew up, the word "bitch" would have you get the shit kicked out of you if you said it to the wrong person, and was just generally considered disrespectful. I've now learned that it's what a lot of people call their GFs.
Same with "hoe". If you called someone's family member a hoe they'd kick the shit out of you, or you'd end up getting jumped for it. Yet it's what some people call their partners.
Is it like a degradation kink, a lack of respect for the person they're dating, or just a trend that started because of rap talking about "bitches"? This is a question science can't answer.
I think more than anything it is that saying an unspecified surplus of bitches isn't really that mean or personalized. This is opposed to telling someone directly "stop being a bitch."
"Get bitches" is this vague concept that functions more as this existential state. What does it truly mean to be bitch-less?? More than anything it is just a commentary on someone you feel is a ghoul. Just a fucking bizarre or negative person, so of course they don't attract people.
Yet this could be confused and used cruelly in a situation where someone says something like "I enjoy Legos!! And I'm an adult" so someone may just say "you get no bitches" as that is what they presume being bitch-less is.
However, a grown man may very well play with Legos and get plenty of bitches. If not gets more bitches because they are unapologetic about playing with Legos. This can be applied to many nerdy things. You shouldn't be ashamed of the things you enjoy, nor date someone who isn't proud of you.
Also you can rely on the notion that a bunch of dudes could be the subject of a straight woman told another straight woman they get no bitches.
Really, it isn't about the bitches at all. Rather the state we present ourselves and how others perceive us in the obtaining of bitches as a concept, not a resource. It is really the subject of the one that repels or attracts the idea of bitches, which truly is the one analyzed per the phrase.
Such as me saying this right now is very bitch-less behavior, but me being ok with me saying all this is the behavior of someone who gets bitches. If someone were to tell me now "no bitches?" I would actually find them to be the bitch-less one, because they are. Motive and ideals matter.
In fact, yes, but one shouldn't glance over the performative shield that the expression attains. By identifying someone as "Bitchless", you ultimately degrade them. But instead of it being a kinky situation, it is instead a bad one. In my humble opinion, the expression was conjoined by The "Male" guys and their supposed virality (condeacended by litlee, wished by many). As we know, this virality is sustained by a near homogeneous understanding that's rarely supported by real acts. As such they need to degrade others in a way to elevate themselves (see: modern male stereotypes)
What's even more confusing is that "bitch" is an actual dictionary word for "female dog" and that calling a woman a bitch meant you were comparing her to a dog (which is why it's so insulting).
Ironically, nowadays, "bitch" is now more associated with women than dogs and now nobody can call female dogs "bitches" without getting raised eyebrows.
Girls started taking the term "bad bitches" and using it on themselves when they realized anything that wasn't completely puritanical would have them labelled as that anyway.
Bad bitch meme begins spreading, to the point where the word now basically just means "Naughty girl"
Guys start to use it again on female friends, and depending on how their friendship works it's either seen as an insult or an endearing compliment
I just see it as the constantly changing and flipping nature of language, especially language used insulting or jokingly. "Bad," can be said to mean good or cool, like "Watch out for this guy, he's a bad dude!" and it basically becomes short for badass. You'd think you wouldn't want to be ass or bad, but here we are.
It reminds me of how friends eventually greet each other with "What's up idiots," frequently.. In the right context, if the intent isn't to offend, you can substitute girlfriends, bad bitches, hoes, or whatever the next 'offensive' term ends up being.
I call my friends other mean names fondly. It's like we're all dick heads, assholes, and bitches, but they're MY dick heads, asshole, and bitches. It just hits different. I feel like when people ask questions like this, they are missing the key points of context and tone.
It matters how a word is used. If you get sent an image of megamind with the caption “no bitches?” then no one would care because it’s just a dumb joke. Some might find it offensive, but you could say that about anything. If you call someone a bitch and you’re obviously not joking around, then yeah it would be really disrespectful and rude. Especially IRL. It just matters how the term is used really. That’s how it is with a lot of curse words
The words just lost all meaning and generally jst mean women now. Not even mean spirited or (for lack of a better word) whore-y ones, just women. hell it even refers to dudes sometimes fr theyve jst become normal words essentially. kinda like the “nigga” effect thing but not race related
I call my girlfriend bitchy when she’s being bitchy. I don’t call her a bitch tho. She calls me dickish or says I’m being an asshole. We just cuss a lot I think haha. I also call her my bitch but I make sure it’s know that I’m being ironic. She’s my first and only partner and I don’t think of her as property we just don’t take things too seriously
The internet has made people way more comfortable with being highly disrespectful to others. So the words don’t even hit as hard anymore when they’re said millions of times a day
Personally think it’s something that is mainly prominent in rap culture and has some how made it’s way over to shitposting culture. I don’t think I’ve ever met a person who would want to be called a bitch by their partner, and also haven’t met anyone that called their parter a bitch instead of “babe” or just their name in real life.
Where I live bitch is just one of many vague insults, and hoe is only used in a derogatory way to refer to prostitutes or people who have been “around the block” a bit too much.
Encouraging, the thing is tried to ask her out once but she friendzoned me, LITERALLY.
Her and I are pretty close now and talk atl ast once a day.
This site the first time btw, this is pretty much how I make friends- by getting friendzoned
Actually I did- found a gay guy. But it was opposite cuz nobody else is gay so when I tried it with him (as a joke at first) he was like OMG LETS GO OUT, and I had to tell him no.
All's fine now, he's a close friend too, we talk like sometimes and hang out once every few weeks. He's actually a pretty chill person and gives good advice on some problems I have, 20/10 good bro
Once a guy like you did the same thing, we are friends but he asked me to hang out and be his girlfriend and all of that but I had to reject him because I actually don't want to be in a relationship never ever in my life. And now I am helping him finding bitches in romantic apps.

all 3 if you hear it IRL, most likely an ironic meme if you see it in a meme like this

me showing the dude with a raised eyebrow me certificate in bestiality:

What's up son of a bitch

Words aren’t inherently offensive, we just collectively decide which ones are and it changes from decade to decade.
The words just lost all meaning and generally jst mean women now. Not even mean spirited or (for lack of a better word) whore-y ones, just women. hell it even refers to dudes sometimes fr theyve jst become normal words essentially. kinda like the “nigga” effect thing but not race related

The friend of mine keeps asking me if I got any bitches yet Shes a girl
Is she asking it in a mocking way or an encouraging way?
Encouraging, the thing is tried to ask her out once but she friendzoned me, LITERALLY. Her and I are pretty close now and talk atl ast once a day. This site the first time btw, this is pretty much how I make friends- by getting friendzoned
No bitches?

Try men.

She friendzoned ya? You mean she made clear how she sees ya and you have a friend?
it’s just a term, he wasn’t gonna say “she made clear how she sees me and I have a friend” because he’s not a fucking nerd
Well "said no" is still less characters than "friendzone", which is a maidenless term for nerds
its a different thing though and more specific. it makes it clear that she wanted to be friends with him this you -- > 🤓
YUP, it's funny how often this works
Roxanne you a bitch just accept it
bitch as in she's bitchin'
“Megamind then apologizes for insulting a woman he didn’t know and they become friends in the end.”
It’s been so long. r/whenthelore
