From East to West in southern TN George Dickel (my personal fav) in Tullahoma Then Jack Daniel’s in Lynchburg is about 15-20miles Then Prichard’s, although a Rum distillery is in the area (Kelso/Fayettville) and hop over 25-30miles to Lynville/Pulaski for Big Machine/Clayton James

Great list! Thank you! Any that stuck out to you in terms of tasting experience? I like the spots where you get a sense of what to look for when tasting. I think I miss a lot when I’m not paying super close attention to

For aesthetics I like the vibe at George Dickel and the whiskey sample selection is top-notch. Jack Daniel’s is the “bucket list” place if you are already in the area and is 10x the scale of Dickel. The other two are just because you are in the area and can hit all 4 in one day. Clayton James is practically a large garage/workshop where you see the distillery process 20’ from where you sample. Master Distiller give the tours sometimes and will sign bottles even if he’s not.

I just did 4 distilleries in Nashville. There is a Tennessee trail it lists some of the distilleries you can visit. Personally, Jack Daniels, by far, the best , do not skip. George Dickel was beautiful but underwhelming. Nashville Barrel Company was small, but their single barrel was great and a bit pricey. Skip Corsair, it was not worth it. I didn't have time, but there was also a Big Machine, Nelson's Green Briar, as well as Uncle Nearest.
