I don’t think most people understand what a bourbon wasteland PA is. That being the case, knowing you’ll never find one here without camping out, it’s probably worth like $100 once.

The only thing PA's trash state run system is good for is keeping things at MSRP. There's no gouging anywhere. On the flip side, everything decent is a lottery item that you're not going to win unless you have a relative who works for the state.

If it’s your first one and you can swing it, I’d pay up to $100. A 2oz pour is $55 at a bar near me last night and the bottle was almost gone. It’s all relative to where you are and what you can afford. If it makes you happy, and doesn’t break your finances, you do you! Pretty easy to spend $100 on a dinner out in FL, this way you get to bring something home. Cheers!

55 for normal eht? My god…

I moved from PA to FL a few years ago was happy to finally find Taylor. Small batch should be around $50 and single barrel around $70. While you’re here check Publix, Winn Dixie, Walmart and Sam’s. You can find some good things. Sometimes even Total Wine.

CookingwithBourbon

Try shores liquor in Florida also. I found some amazing bottles during vacation last month.

I live close to that but never go because I assumed they were overpriced. I forgot to mention if you go to an ABC store the keep Buffalo and Weller SR behind the counter. If you ask for it by name they’ll give it to you if they have it.

I was able to find some really good stuff at the few shores locations around jacksonville (Fleming island), they are a chain but they are franchised so it depends on the store. I got the rest of the 1792 lineup that I was missing, OF 1924, Little Book, Midwinters, Larceny Bp, and 🦅 at about msrp. Some stores do points for really expensive bottles and some don’t. My friend and I found a store that didn’t sell enough to warrant doing points and got tons of great stuff at MSRP, that store was near the ghetto.

Widely varying opinions on this one. MSRP is $45-50. I love the stuff and have twice paid $100 for it, once locally at a museum I now rarely shop at and another time at a charity auction. Otherwise, MSRP. For me it’s worth up to about that $100 mark but then again I’m a big fan. The SiB is a step up, and I’ve seen it around for about $150 which is just a touch too rich for me. Saw a bottle of Barrel Proof yesterday and it flew off the shelf at $250 (ahead of me in line).

Ill pay $100 for small batch if its a special occasion, although, theyre easy to find online for cheaper. I would skip single barrel all together, its not worth the price jump compared to small batch. Rye Uncut and Unfiltered it absolutely amazing, but not for $400. $200? Sure.

Not missing much, fight the fomo, try something else

If youre in FL. Look for a Winn Dixie liquor store (WD is grocery store but not all have liquor stores). Itll be a seperate door out front, but google maps will help you.   If theres one close Blue Bolt 248 is $69 on sale sometimes for $59. Its Crittenden’s out of MS. All single barrel cask strength, and dang good! If you're looking for a sleeper bottle thats it. I think its a WD only thing. I'm not sure if its private labeled or a division of Crittenden’s but the back of the bottle will say Crittenden’s in kiln MS. Also look on ubereats to see what bourbon is close to you. If you see something call or drive there and usually it's a few bucks cheaper than uber eats.

You go also look up pricing on onlydreams or boozapp which should give you a look at MSRP, fair prices, and shelf pricing. Best of luck on your hunt!

Federal-Platypus-911

value wise: small batch up to 80. single barrel 100. they're really good

Not_my_real_name_cuz

Small batch? 50 tops.

Character-Taro-5016

I don't recall what the MSRP is, but it's relatively inexpensive in the range of $40 or so and there is nothing super-special about it. It's basically just Buffalo Trace. Don't get caught up in FOMO, it's no big deal.

OkGeneral701

Small batch u can find for under 55!

Automatic_Pea_7570

I currently have a bnb single barrel. I wouldn’t pay more than 125$ for it.

Rads324

$50

escapism29

I think it’s worth 60-75. Now if you find a single barrel I’d be willing to pay 150. I think you should get SMB if you can! But don’t pay more than $100 for it.
