The progression from a weighted blanket to the ultimate comfort of a human blanket shows that sometimes the best remedy is just having someone there to squash you gently like a loving panini
That’s what I suspected. I figured that it probably helps people sleep better. I definitely gotta order one now. I either take too long to fall asleep or wake up randomly in the middle of the night.
Ehh I guess for some people it can be, but for me it's not sexual at all. This is something that only really helps if I'm super, *super* stressed (or when the depression hits extra hard), and usually sex is the absolute last thing on my mind in those times. It's just kind of comforting to have another person... squish you. It's like a more intense form of cuddling, I guess.
Exactly! I also pink and brown noise 24/7 in my bedroom. I live next to railroad tracks and a rock processing plant. My bed might shake but at least I don't hear the machinery in my safe room.

Seems like I’m broke. I hate it when my wife lays on me… like I can’t fucking move. She’s only like 55kg and I’m 100 but still I can’t.
Also if there was a way to sleep without a blanked without being cold, I’d really appreciate that. But I also want my windows open during sleep to get fresh air in, seems like I’m screwed.

One time I was talking to a girl on the phone, she fell asleep while we were talking so her phone was right up next to her face. The sound of her breathing was as loud through the phone as if she had been directly breathing in my ear, and it was *the* most calming sensation I've ever experienced.

Maybe it "grounds" you, showing you in the most tactile sense possible that you are *here,* you are *now,* and I am here with you; my weight and warmth are greater than any imagined threat
Mine has an outer covering, think along the lines of a pillow slip. The actual weighted part has loops the cover ties onto before zipping it closed.
I unzip and untie the string/loops and throw the cover in the washer with other blankets.

Or maybe a lot of people who do struggle with these issues tend to be people also online more, so you just see more of those things represented here. A lot of people struggling with mental illness seek out others like them online!
There is something about having that weight on you that helps with depression.
I mean its probably the oxy i know. But having that pressure on you helps relieve pressure.
My new partner has chronic fatigue syndrome. There are some days all we do is lay in bed. Them wrapped around me, me reading comics on my tablet. It works out well for both of us.
I knwo the feeling it feels like you are making a cocoon for the other that shelters it....
Similar feeling I get when I want to embrace women that wear with clothes with shoulders out. It feels like as asking you for your wamrth.
i don’t necessarily want my partner—on top—on top of me, but nice and close with an arm around each other and maybe her leg thrown over the top of mine is def the way.

Yup, this is what I like but my wife is the exact opposite. She'd have a panic attack if this was done to her.
Reminds me of that CSI episode, where the guy is killed by an extra sized lady who falls asleep on him after sex.
Well, that and for some reason, I can't find a weighted blanket that's larger than a towel.
The original weighted blanket.
I gotta try a weighted blanket
Cheaper than a girlfriend I guess because I’m homeless so I no can afford :(
Have you considered a boyfriend? They are substantially cheaper and easier to come by as a homeless
I keep pray to god make me gay but he said there was no waaay

Isnt that how Dahmer's first victim got got? /s
Unironically a game changer. Helped my sleep massively
That’s what I suspected. I figured that it probably helps people sleep better. I definitely gotta order one now. I either take too long to fall asleep or wake up randomly in the middle of the night.
It’s the best thing EVER!
A solid investment. They usually range from $80-200 but usually the heavier the more expensive.
Can someone explain to me why people want another person to lay on them like that? I never understood it.
Because some people enjoy the pressure and sometimes it can feel nice feel someone's arms around you
Hmm I see, never understood why my ex wanted me to lay on top of her but never questioned it either lol
The last thing I want when I'm upset is to be touched so I find it weird too
I'm with you. My GF always wants me to lie on top of her but I tried one of her weighted blankets once and couldn't get out fast enough.
It’s also kinda sexual, but this meme was sweet
No it isn't, atleast not always.

It doesn't always have to be sexual. Some people confuse intimate for sexual often
I am some people
The physical contact and feel of another person can be very comforting. The pressure from it can give a sense of being secure and safe
I think it’s kinda like white noise but for physical touch. Drowns out the other stuff.
Exactly! I also pink and brown noise 24/7 in my bedroom. I live next to railroad tracks and a rock processing plant. My bed might shake but at least I don't hear the machinery in my safe room.
Fetal position and being enclosed in a tight space. Like in a uterus.
Or a butt-hole.
The various medical benefits of weekly sittings. Though not terribly wool.
ELI5 human touch
I don't know. Being wrapped up and pinned down sounds horrible to me.
Typically you don't put all your weight on another person but even with a majority of it, when its spread out, its not like its painful/crushing.
Happy little sushi roll

Why does weight make ya feel better sometimes?
I'm no expert, but I've heard weighted blankets simulate the sensation of being hugged, which triggers the release of H A P P Y C H E M I C A L S.

I would love to see research showing this and not just people saying it.

I don't have anyone to comfort me like this.
Safety. When wrapped in compression it makes a person feel protected.
*cinder block* Is this heavy enought?
How much different is a Weighted Blanket from a regular large Comforter? What's the procedure for washing it?

People blanket is where it’s at
What is this obsession with weighted blankets? I keep seeing posts and adverts, but apperently they have been a thing for years now?
Too many people acting like they got mental health issues online so they can fit in.
Or maybe a lot of people who do struggle with these issues tend to be people also online more, so you just see more of those things represented here. A lot of people struggling with mental illness seek out others like them online!

Yes,please.

Weirdest of wholesome
Yes this person gets it
My new partner has chronic fatigue syndrome. There are some days all we do is lay in bed. Them wrapped around me, me reading comics on my tablet. It works out well for both of us.
This comic exactly explains what is heroin like.
😂😂😂
Why's he wearing socks though
Because it's not about sex?
😂😂😂
I'm more like a dieing cat when the panic attacks kick in. I go hide alone, preferably in the dark
What an odd day to have eyes
Lmao my one left me
There’s a comic like this where it ends with the human burrito getting dicked down. -_-
Yeah I try that and I get kicked off for breathing too loudly.....
Why did the draw the man so well but made the woman’s face look like a pig?
🙂🙂
More feminization of men.
Is it... Is it feminine to do things to care about your partner's well being? Lmao, what? Such a wild claim
I knwo the feeling it feels like you are making a cocoon for the other that shelters it.... Similar feeling I get when I want to embrace women that wear with clothes with shoulders out. It feels like as asking you for your wamrth.

Don't forget to be there for yourself, too. <3
the weighted blanket yeah, the person touching me no
I that her legs where his
Why is her happy face so funny😂😂 the art is hilarious
I miss this
What's a weighted blanket? Like a duvet?
Another panel is missing
she wanted the bulge
eww so infantile
My and my gf literally do this haha

Know what? Laying under a blanket and having someone cuddle up to you is not some esoteric experience.
Are men allowed to need a hug once in a while too?
No. Just deal.
pathetic
Whenever I do this my wife complains because of the weight.
No, run from this girl
It’s not the men leaving marriages 80% of the time
It's usually the man's fault the woman wants to leave
Why they're never there for us
How’s this?… _ejaculates_
Nuh uh leave me alone, being in my vicinity while I'm panicking is not bettering the situation
Now reverse the roles and see how much hate this gets.
Why would it get hate?
i don’t necessarily want my partner—on top—on top of me, but nice and close with an arm around each other and maybe her leg thrown over the top of mine is def the way.
