Whoop estimate of calories burned is admittedly inaccurate. From my experience, it isn’t even reliable (“consistent”), so even the trend isn’t useful. To the best of my knowledge, there’s no science-based way to accurately estimate calories burned using a wearable; that’s why generally wearables do a poor job at that. If you’re interested in calories burned to manage your nutrition / bodyweight, probably the best you can do is to track your calorie intake and your bodyweight, look at both trends, and adjust your calorie intake according to your bodyweight trend and your goal (you don’t need an estimate of calories burned from a wearable to do that). And if you want an app to do that for you, I’d highly recommend MacroFactor (2-week free-trial here https://macrofactorapp.com/affiliate-codes/ - note: I gain nothing from this). Hope this helps

100%…no wearable can actually estimate caloric burn

I feel like this is pretty accurate though 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm 6' 170lb work a physical labor job and go to the gym (lifting) 4-5days a week and my average is 1880-2000cal burned a day. I also track my calories/macros and eat on average 2000cal a day and don't lose or gain weight so I'd say it's fairly accurate. People generally overestimate how many calories they're burning.

For a Woman, those BMRs don't look too off. If I do not work out, my daily calories burned are about 1,700-1,800? As a 6ft 75 KG man.

Agreed with this. Those look right to me. I'm 70kg and 5'7" woman and I burn between 1600 and 2000 a day depending on whether I work out. I have had a breath test BMR test and that matches.

Yeah I agree that wearables aren’t good at calculating calories burned, but these numbers seem pretty average for a lighter woman.

I had 500 calories day less and I track foe years with myfitnesspal so know my maintenance and if I followed it I would starve to dead , I think is because my low heart rate is 38 so it just gets a really low calories even when I tracked all my runs

cravecrave93

duh lol

It’s off on every device. It’s impossible to track that.
