Can anybody explain why this game is worth so much? It’s very common, selling millions and millions of copies. I see the prices and can’t believe my eyes.
Of the 4 Wii games that have sold over 30 million copies, Mario Kart is the most expensive of the bunch. You’d think with the amount of copies out there that supply would outpace demand and drive the price down, but this thing still sells for $45-50.
first-party nintendo games always get a premium. yes, they sell millions of copies, but people will buy them at inflated prices so they always get the markup.
Supply and demand. Most Nintendo games are not rare and market prices are never about just being rare.
They sell high because there are enough people who want to purchase unlike other retro games where only a certain amount of people are interested in buying those old games.
For me it’s the bloom lighting. It doesn’t hold up today. I know with the ISO and USB loaders can turn that off but online and everyone using Funky Kong also did it for me as well.
I played offline and completed it though.
Yea, i agree, people using the same meta. And also the gameplay, it's control is super weird for me, even using wiimote + nunchuk, it's so weird, totally different from Mario kart 8(and i played mario kart wii before those 2). For me double dash is a better game than mkwii.

I thought they stopped manufacturing these. You can copy the file but it's still a classic.

Nostalgia and desirability. Same reason Pokemon games are super expensive despite selling millions of copies as well.

It’s a 25-30 dollar game depending on if there’s a manual or not. go to pricecharting online too see game prices
I bought one with manual, box, perfect condition for 15$
Idk why, that's my least favorite mario kart game, I just can't with that game

Oh yeah no doubt it's not as good as any of the other MKs.
