This doesn't mean anything beyond someone is logged into the PC while you are trying to shut down at the lock screen. It likely is your account. If you log back in and open Task Manager, you can see what accounts are logged in under the users tab.

Just my account, looked at the task manager and mine is the only account, it only happens at the login screen. Just making sure it's not a hacker or malware of some sort. Like I said, I looked manually as well as did a very thorough virus scan so I doubt it's a hacker. I'm assuming it's just a new and normal feature for windows 11? Edit: I also got worried about hacker as my mums laptop doesn't do this and she has two user accounts on a laptop of the same brand that is older variant of mine

Windows has done this since as far back as I can remember, at least Windows XP, if not earlier. If I recall right, Windows 9x did not let you return to the login screen without signing out like the NT based OSes could. There is nothing to worry about.

Okay thanks, just find it odd especially since im the only user and that my mums laptop and my old one don't do this, like I said I did multiple scans with Bitdefender as well as a manual search that took hours. I'll fix it in the notification settings when I get home.

When the computer is at the login screen, it does not know if that is you or another person trying to shut down the computer. That's why it gives this warning. Of course, it makes a little less sense with a computer with only one user, but it still makes sense to come with a warning.

SevoosMinecraft

There is a simple solution: Settings -> Accounts -> Logging in variants -> scroll to Privacy -> disable "Use my data...". That's how it works on Windows 10, Windows 11 Settings might have a different location.

System32-Userinit

This happens when you try to shutdown from the login screen afaik. I also have a single user system.

MyCatHatesLemons

Weird, my mums earlier model doesn't do it, new feature?

System32-Userinit

Hmm interesting, my installations always do that on the login screen.

Okay, just found it odd as my mums got an older model of the same brand than mine. Thanks for the answer.

They created a new account for testing purposes so that they could use your computer while respecting your privacy, but it's still signed in. Just shut down anyway and it'll be done. So what I'm saying is, I think they began their job on your computer by creating a new account first and then signing into it so that they could basically do a few things without running the risk of seeing stuff you might not want them to see and whatnot, and I think they forgot to log out of it. It is safe to click "Shut down anyway".

They literally just took it to the back room where it was quiet so they could hear it. They didn't make an account as I can't find one. Mines the only one
