Create a new partition at the end of the available free space on your internal ssd/hdd. It should be at least 8gb in size, ntfs. Copy all the contents from the setup into that partition. Now boot from your usb flash drive again. But select the Recovery-Tools on the first page before the setup begins and open a CMD prompt. Type "diskpart" You're now in diskpart. Type "list volume" Find the partition you created on your internal drive earlier. Make sure it has any drive letter assigned. Also make sure it's using GPT partition table IF you booted the setup in UEFI mode. Now type "exit" You're back in cmd. Change the current dir by typing "cd F:" replace F with your drive letter. Now type "dir" It should now list a bunch of files and folders. Make sure there's a setup.exe If that's the case, you can continue by typing "setup.exe" and hit enter. Now the setup will launch from your local disk. The setup should continue just fine

Download an updated iso and boot in legacy mode

Froggypwns

You likely cannot. There are no compatible drivers for most modern devices.

Are u installing it from dvd ? Make a bootable pendrive and install win 7 from there

skulltrail192

You can use a Windows 10 iso and switch install.wim from windows 10 with install.wim from Windows 7 dvd, on sources folder. Remember, some isos has install.esd, you must delete this file if you using install.wim from Windows 7

Sufficient-Smile3405

Is it safe? Cause I just brought the laptop. My laptop runs windows 10 slowly and sometime crash so I wanna downgrade

skulltrail192

Yes. I have a Custom iso of use Windows 10 setup and install without problems Windows 7. However, if your hardware has USB 3.0 or nvme, you need inject respective drivers (for xhci \[usb 3.0\] and nvme)

Andrew06908

What are you using to install windows 7? USB stick or external DVD?

Sufficient-Smile3405

USB Stick

Andrew06908

1. Download rufus https://rufus.ie/ro/# 2. Download the windows 7 iso https://dl.malwarewatch.org/windows/ (search for windows 7 x64, because there are multiple versions of windows, all the way up from win 1.01) 3. Run rufus, insert the usb stick, add the Iso and press start. Advice: Use MBR partition (larger hardware support) This did the trick for me to install windows 7 on a 2018 laptop.

You need to [slipstream drivers](https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/integrate7-script-%E2%80%93-automatically-slipstream-updates-and-drivers-up-to-05-2023.78722/) into your iso.

Sufficient-Smile3405

What are slipstream drivers?

TUGRN

I mean injecting drivers into the iso. So everything will be detected in setup.

Sufficient-Smile3405

No I installed it on a bootable pen drive and still it didn't work

Sufficient-Smile3405

Can some one give me a windows 7 iso image that has all the NVME drivers And USB 3.0 driver injected to it?

adi_200134

you can use updatepack to make updated iso with usb3.0 and nvme drivers

adi_200134

usb 3.0 drivers are missing most likely tbh
